I have a half day today. I am going to get a mani/pedi after work. We have family/maternity photos tomorrow, and lunch with friends on Sunday. Hoping for a good weekend. I also really need to do our taxes.
rquinlin 3/30, but I have previa so according to last conversation with my OB we are still hoping baby will wait for a cesarean during 1st or 2nd week of March.
Is it worth buying your own exercise/birth ball? Our hospital has some you can use during labor, but I'm now wondering if it's worth buying your own now. I've had lots of pelvic pain lately and even some lightening crotch and I've heard that the ball helps... Thoughts?

Eek good luck knitnut! Hopefully baby stays put until the optimal time for your C.
jennypm I totally agree, I'd rather my kid act up at home than in public!
AFM: For the past 2-3 days I've been having some odd cramping that I think might be contractions. I'm nowhere near ready for this yet, and I'm hoping it stays irregular and infrequent for now. This probably belongs in FFFC but I'd really like baby to wait until after our anniversary, 2/18 at least. I really want one last night out with H- we need it.

I bought an exercise ball and really like sitting on it when I have pelvic soreness. It is surprisingly so much more comfortable than sitting on the couch or any other soft surface.
I am going to review our maternity photos today at the photographers studio! I wanted my husband to go with me but he can't get out of work which might be for the best. This way he won't have to know how much it will cost to get prints. Then tonight we have reservations at a delicious restaurant downtown where they are having their 1970s rollback menu pricing so we should be eating very well for a good price. I will be a happy pregnant lady!
Tomorrow is our birthing class from 9-4. It's going to be an early morning and a long day. I'm glad I took today off work.
Oh and I just found out that my insurance does NOT cover a breast pump. I swear SC is so effing backwards. I guess I'll just be saving my receipts so I can at least deduct the cost from 2015's taxes. And good thing we are getting a hefty refund from this year's taxes.

So I guess we're getting another foot of snow this weekend.. This is my happy face °-°
I have no good randoms yet other than all I can think about it getting a pedicure.. I want one so bad! I think I'm going to give in and get one next week.
Also DS starts winter football tonight and he's really excited. I'm excited for him and I love watching him play. I'm just a little nervous how the logistics are going to work since the season goes thru April.. Hopefully baby doesn't come on game day!

carmar3 glad your BP went down, hoping you get to head home soon!
AFM- add me to the not sleeping/ sore hip club. I was up a few times at 1, 4 and 6. On a positive note I'm going to get my hair done today, which is so overdue I'm excited! I will probably fall asleep while she's washing my hair haha!
I've been up off and on since 4 when I woke up about to pee my pants and with the worst Charlie horse. My son stayed with his grandparents last night because they took him to see spongebob and ex mil dropped him off at c school this morning. I was excited to be able to sleep in but baby girl decided to start doing barrel rolls a little after 7 so I woke up early anyway. I'm sitting here glaring at fiancé as he sleeps haha.
Speaking of fiancé, we were discussing valentine gifts and asked him if he wanted to know what I was getting him, so I told him and he asked me if I wanted to know what he wanted to give me so I said of course. He said he wants to go to the courthouse and finally get married! It was sweet! Hopefully we will be going to the courthouse next week and getting our license and getting married within the next 2 weeks =)
Went for the sizing ultrasound yesterday. The doctor said our baby is measuring about 6lbs 14oz, which she said was on track for being 36 weeks. Fluid levels were good, the heart looked good, kidneys looked good, etc.
When I went to see my OB later in the day, she said we might talk about induction going into week 39 so the baby doesn't get "too big." There has been discussion on this board (and on The Dump, previously) about the accuracy of the sizing ultrasound. I'm taking it with a grain of salt. I really don't want to be induced. I want my daughter to come when she's ready. Originally, my OB said they'd induce if she hadn't come by 41 1/2 weeks. Either way, I'm now commencing all the voodoo so she can get the hint and maybe decide she wants to come slightly early. Both the fetal medicine doctor and my OB said she could be born at any time between now and Mar 6 and be fine.
knitnut FX baby stays in and cooks a little longer.
racegurl87 My friend who had a baby in December says that she sits on her exercise ball and bounces with the baby to calm her when she is crying. (They have a glider, swing, bouncer, etc, but baby likes the ball.) So I decided to go ahead and get one, knowing it might still be useful after the baby is here.
AFM: Last night my kitty was having a grand time playing with her mousey. I was about to pick it up and throw it for her to chase when I realized something seemed off. It wasn't her toy mousey, it was a real mouse. I totally freaked out. Luckily H was home and took care of it. But now he's paranoid that our kitty is going to get sick, or that I'm going to get sick from touching her. So I get to call the vet and the OB today to reassure him that we're going to be fine. I'm guessing this might go on the list of craziest calls my OB has gotten.
My other random (some people may have read about this on my thread back in JAN via The Dump) is that I got offered the job I went to interview for in TX. The offer was at a 17.25% deficit from my current salary, so I tried to negotiate up to a 10% deficit. They said no, but they would offer me a signing bonus (which still didn't close the gap between their offer and what I had asked for). They went into a long spiel about how the cost of living is cheaper down there (which is true) and they have to be cognizant of 'internal equity.' Which I took to mean that I was asking for more money than my supervisor was making.
All that aside though, they said the latest I could start would be Apr 13. If my daughter is born on her due date, that only gives me 5 weeks of maternity leave, not to mention, packing up our stuff, putting our house on the market, and moving to another state and getting set up there -- while having to show up bright eyed and bushy tailed at a new job. They pay for the relocation and they will reimburse our real estate agent commission fees, so overall, the monetary deal is good, but the timing is bad. I honestly don't think they have anyone else for the job though. I'm their last pregnant hope!
Also, when the HR manager got in touch with me about the start date he said, "I know the birth of a child is unpredictable, but do the best you can." Uhh...WTF does that mean?? That kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
Oh well. I guess the moral of the story here is that you CAN interview for a job while 8 months pregnant and still have a shot.
I'm so lazy. I felt like crap last night and just couldn't get it together this AM, so working from home again. My AW is that H finally finished the nursery flooring last night, so now we can start on trim and paint! This part is supposed to go a lot faster, so I'm feeling hopeful that we *may* have it done by President's Day and I can spend my day off nesting. YAY
I hope everyone has a great Friday and starts feeling better. So much pain in third tri!
frecklesinside Did your H fix your dishwasher? Mine fixed our dryer last night and I was thinking of you! Hope everything is good.
I actually slept last night... kind of! The worst part is whenever I reposition myself, the dogs think they have to, as well, even though I'm not disturbing them. It ends up waking me up even more. I've also found that I just need to wear tanks and leggings around the house right now, otherwise it's too cold for both H and the dogs, who end up shivering.
All of these March babies coming in February is making me antsy. My EDD isn't until the later half of March, and my OB hasn't given me any reason to think LO is going to come early. But I am just so READY even though the house is in shambles. I just want to have my baby!
Sorry for everyone in pain. Just a few more weeks!
Excited that my shower is this weekend, very much looking forward to it. It is getting me through this dreary winter day. So ready for the week to be over. We are also painting the baby's room this weekend so hopefully by Sunday night I'll feel much more prepared for his arrival!

Mornin' ladies! I've been having weird dreams too lately. Last night I dreamt that I was at the hospital in labor, and that I blacked out and when I snapped out of it LO had been born and I couldn't remember it. And I was alone in the hospital room. I saw a piece of paper on the side table and picked it up and read it. It said that she was 8lb 1oz and that I'd had an epidural, which caused "memory impairment". And then I woke up. It was freaky!! Especially because I really don't want an epi... It was probably a manifestation of my worries that I'll end up getting one. I've been thinking/worrying about it a lot lately.
I might also mention this dream woke me from what little sleep I was able to get last night. My hips KILL and I can't seem to get comfy either. Oh, the joys. Soon enough we'll all be getting even less sleep though - can't believe our LO's are going to start arriving so soon! Only 4w left to go for me.

We had an exercise ball with my DD. I bounced and rocked on it so much during pregnancy to help encourage her to drop, that I think she just enjoyed the movements. For the longest time, the ONLY thing that would calm her crying was to bounce on the exercise ball. Needless to say, my legs were in GREAT shape. I told my DH we need to buy another one very soon.
I gave two campus tours yesterday in the course of 2 hours because my boss doesn't understand the concept of time and was running late. (Her and my other coworker were supposed to get back to the campus by 3 to help me with them, they didn't get back until after 4. For NO GOOD REASON). It doesn't bother me that much, because I feel it's good to stay active, however, my pelvic floor pain was so bad by the end of the day that I could barely walk. I'm also sure that when the potential students and their parents see a 9 mo pregnant lady waddling over to them to give them a tour, their reactions in their head are probably like, WTF?

I bought one early on in the pregnancy. I got mine at Burlington but they also sell them at 5 below. Then it is not too much to spend if you end up not using it. My hb has used it more lately to try and Crack his back.
Pretty sure I sat on my birthday ball for two hours last night and I'm back at it now...argh! Sorry you are in so much pain frecklesinside
On the up side, at least it's Friday! The girls at work are throwing me a baby shower today and I'm so excited. They are too sweet.
I had a dream last night that the hospital kept me for five days and still wouldn't let me go home. I woke up and was freaking out. Apparently I'm not looking forward to staying at the hospital?
I had a weird hospital dream last night too. I was in labor and I couldn't get ahold of my husband. I was freaking out that he wasn't there with me. Then, I was about to have the babies and I was in this cafeteria like room and there were about 15 friends/family in the room watching me deliver. I was going crazy and kept yelling at people to get out. My heart was racing when I woke up.
I had my phone sitting on my belly. Lo was kicking so you could see my phone moving from the kicks. A coworker looked over and saw my phone moving and said something. She thought it was funny. The first person other then me to see it move.
Hugs to everyone in pain, I'm there with you. I love my big blue ball. I got a cheap one from Target and sit on it as much as I can comfortably. It helps with the pelvic and back pain
AFM: I'm just over this week. Aside from all the shitty parts of the week thus far, today I get to meet with our treasurer (see: ignorant, holier-than-thou bitch who thinks she runs things). Obviously I'm less than excited. On a plus side, I'm going to get my eyebrows waxed at lunch. I no longer can get close enough to the mirror in our bathroom, and stand there long enough, to do them myself without missing some, getting irritated, or being in pain.
Hello..I'm so glad it's Friday! I am running out of "work" energy so fast, only 5 more working days after today! DH is enjoying one last snowboarding weekend in the mountains, so I'm on my own tonight..
Appt this afternoon, it will be our last growth ultrasound. Our last glimpse of the boys before they arrive! So weird..
Hope everyone can get semi comfortable..we all just got to buckle down for the weeks ahead,.we got this ladies!
Good Morning Ladies, sorry you all are not sleeping and your in pain that's the worst! I must say since I got my new firm mattress I haven't had pain during sleep, hopefully that last.
Today is my doctor's appointment so hopefully all goes well and this means I can leave work a little early!
I second the exercise ball. Our dining table chairs have gotten really uncomfortable and the ball is a lifesaver. I plan to spend more time on it as I get closer.
AFM, I just finished my third breakfast - banana and milk at 4:00 am, yogurt and honey at 7:30 and now a Waffle House waffle and bacon at 9:30. I think I'm finally satisfied.
37 week OB appt was this morning. Baby shows no signs of wanting to come out; all is still tight. We went over my birth plan and discovered that they will order induction if I haven't gone into labor by 41 weeks. So kiddo, you have marching orders - action before 41 weeks!
carmar3 Hope your lab results look ok and your BP stays down so they can let you go home and rest.
knitnut FX your LO stays put for a few more weeks! I also get that error occasionally and when I do I find the site has randomly logged me out and I have to sign back in again.
I am trying to meal plan for the week. I am at the point where nothing sounds good. Also the thought of cooking is exhausting.
Love tit for commiseration. I feel the same way. I buy food I like to make/eat, but when it is time to cook it I am exhausted and don't really want any of it.
