First, let me start by saying I can't believe I only have one month (a little less than actually) until E turns one!!
But I have a little bit of a dilemma... Her 1st birthday is May 26th. We haven't had her formally baptized yet, and when H went to schedule it the one date in May didn't work, so we're doing that on June 19th (the day after her due date actually).
So basically I really want to have a party for her birthday... J didn't have a party for her 1st (since we were in VA and BIL got married in MN the week after). But given the ridiculousness of her life, I want to really celebrate that she's 1. But her baptism is 3.5 weeks later.
So do I do a big party for her birthday and then have the baptism and just a simple lunch for that... But we'd likely have extended family invited for that too. Or do I do something simple at her birthday (just grandparents, aunts/uncles) for her birthday and then celebrate with extended family 3 weeks later at her baptism with a party?
It seems silly to do two parties so close together.... But it also is weird to celebrate her birthday with her baptism 3 weeks later.
Then J's birthday is 3 weeks after the baptism! So I'm sure we won't do anything big this year for J... I think we'll wait and have a big party for her 5th birthday. But she's been talking about having a birthday party constantly, and I think she's expecting to invite friends too.
What do you all think?
Also, if you read all that, you deserve a cookie!
