Random Q: What counts as 2nd tri and why do ppl count it differently?
I believe 2nd tri is weeks 14-27 or months 4-6. It just depends on which websites you look at as to how they disperse the weeks. Technically, you're dividing 40 weeks into 3 trimesters, so it won't be completely even, if that makes sense.
Yeah mostly this. I know there are different developmental benchmarks that Dr's go by that can vary how they classify the trimesters. Like first tri deliniaton I think has to do with when the placenta starts to fully function / when the chance of a miscarriage dramatically decreases. For me I define it how tgrimes did because it makes sense!
I'm here LT-ing posts but am still having a hard time with screens for too long! (worse at night) Dh is home and I've thrown up twice which is unusual... Not sure if my body doesn't like him now or not!?!
danib, ClassyMrsA, I hope you both get relief soon! @kleiggttc, cute announcement! I would prefer to not have it on FB if I can help it but once family knows it's out of our hands
kleigh Oh, I love the announcement...so cute. I'm really happy for y'all (and your MIL needs to get over herself...I'm glad your H is being supportive of you during all this!)
DH just went to pick up Italian take-out with DS in tow. I cannot wait for cheesy, Italian-y deliciousness, but in the meantime I'm just lying in bed watching the news and trying to resist snacking.
DS napped 3 hours this afternoon so I had a nice break, I really should try to do something productive.

Yayyyy ClassyMrsA!!! So glad it's working for you! Enjoy picking everything out for the new house, how exciting!
cookswithwine9 I'm going with 14 weeks purely because that seems like the latest any website/book has and I figure at the very least it's one more week down! I'm still not feeling great as often as I thought I would by now (13 weeks) so I'm giving my body the extra week to get the memo.
Oooh cheese LizInFL. That sounds like something I need right now...
cookswithwine9 As others have said, I feel like there is so much variation in the trimester dating depending on what you read, but I'm 13W today and am telling myself I'm in 2T, dammit For some reason 13 weeks is just the magic number for me mentally. Go figure.

+1 In my brain, 13 weeks is 2T. I am there and feeling extra happy!
I puked at work for the first time...but not from ms, but from being so constipated that my lunch had to go somewhere. I'm quiet relieved that I had enough sense to go to the next floor up's bathroom that is always empty. I don't know how you ladies survive MS all the time..
cheshie6, I was thinking about you today--not in a creepy way, promise! It was more of a wondering how you were doing way. Sorry the screens aren't good for you, hope you feel better soon.
The good news is that it got things moving..drinking all the water and have new iron free vitamins to hopefully prevent a repeat performance next week.
MIL was pissed of course because "she didn't get to tell everyone" and as she shakes her head and grunts under her breath "I was supposed to tell them"... Lol. Yep, totally your news to break to everyone lady.
Things makes me so pissy. I'll never understand why people think it is their news to share. I don't care how excited they are. Not the parent, not your business.
I'm glad you got to announce first and received great feedback.
sophiegrace I'd also look for regular but flowy outfits to pack with a light jacket to layer with/break a side angle..I know I can feel crummy if I'm wearing something too tight, so maybe have an outfit that you could get away without the Spanx if needed.

Thank you! A jacket is an excellent suggestion, we'll be up north and although this time of year has been in the 80s in past years I don't think it's looking to be the case this year. I think a jean jacket will look good with the dress I have planned and the structure will break up my body nicely. Maybe throw in a good push up bra (I'm super small up top) to push the dress out a bit and I'll be set.
