DH and I are starting a low carb diet Monday. I look like Honey Boo Boo's mom and that isn't cute. Anyone have any tips, tricks, or recipes? Now excuse me while I go eat some junk, I have a few more days to perfect my "before" body.

My husband has been on a "slow carb" diet for about a year and has lost a TON of weight! He really likes it because it has a cheat day every Saturday to keep your body from going into some kind of metabolism slow-down thing. He explained it to me but I was only half listening There are apparently a bunch of different ways to do it, but he cuts out all sugar and carbs, even milk products, because lactose is a sugar Sunday-Friday. The only carbs he has during the week are beans, pretty much. Every Saturday we go out for pancakes and have pizza or spaghetti for dinner. He's down to his high school weight!!

Oh, and I forgot the best thing about it! His mood has improved SO MUCH!!!! He used to come home really cranky in the afternoons because his blood sugar would crash, but now he's super even-keeled. Love it. For real, this diet has improved our marriage!

Interesting. Is there a specific diet name for this? I.e. Something I can google lol.
