We are kind of working on it with DD1. Sometimes she likes her pull ups and will sit on the potty for a while. Other times she wants her diaper and refuses the potty. I know that DD2 still has an effect on her so I'm not pushing it (DD1 wants to do things like DD2...like getting burped, using the stroller, etc).
I said working on it for realz bc I'm terrified to jinx it. She's has only had a few accidents after the first week of training and it's been just over a month since we started. I still wouldn't say she's fully trained but well on her way.
I can't vote bc I'm mobile but we are fully trained day and night. She started having accidents back to back earlier last week which I'm assuming was due to the irritation she was experiencing (had her checked for a uti and it came back negative). Once the irritation cleared she started staying dry again. She went 3 weeks straight before last week with no night time accidents.
We are working toward no pull ups at night but it's a slow process.
I think doing no diapers at nap time helped with the night training.
We stopped nap diapers pretty much when you suggested it weeks ago. It was excellent advice and she hasn't had an accident. She wakes up dry in the morning too most of the time but she fights us for a pull-up at night. I think it's a comfort for her?

I kept diapers on DD for several weeks even though she was dry. Mainly because we took that trip across the country and I didn't want to go back and forth with the diapers. When I took the diapers away she wet the bed 2 nights in a row and then by night 3 was dry except for those few nights last week.
Is she in underwear yet? You could put underwear on her at night. They feel snug like a diaper.
@babylentilbean yeah she's in underwear. We tried to put her in bed with underwear under her pjs and she strips them off and yells diaper and gets herself all worked up. Then we give her a pull up and she is good to go to bed. The past 2 nights she'll put her underwear on over her pull up once she's in her room. I have a weird kiddo lol.
I put kind of. He made progress in some areas, holding pee longer and realizing he peed or pooped (feeling like it was icky) but he still wasn't fully getting the poop and not even close to telling us when he needed to pee/poop. He is in pull ups and we prompt to pee every 2-3 hours but if we wait too long he has accidents. We will try again in a few months. It's crazy how much they develop is such small amounts of time.
We're on week two (following the Oh Crap method) and I'm getting frustrated. She'll go days without an accident, but then have three in one day. I feel like the days she doesn't have an accident are luck.
She did amazing on the naked days...she didn't even need prompting, she'd just stop what she was doing, sit on the potty and pee. The days with pants going commando, not great. We did commando for about a week, but today I put underwear on her as just having pants on seems to make her think she can potty in them, so I figured underwear couldn't hurt (and hope she wouldn't want to pee on the characters).
Tonight she was outside playing, I had her come in to try and she did but didn't go. Ten minutes later my dad carried her in, soaking wet. Maybe that's not a good example because she LOVES to play outside, so she just didn't want to be bothered to even give it a good try. Part of me wants to quit and go back to diapers for a while, but I'm hoping what the author says is true, that one day she'll just get it.

This was/is very much us. Now with a new little one I don't have the energy to constantly be watching and prompting a toddler who has no interest in potty training. I will try again when his communication is better, hopefully in a few months.

We haven't started yet. We tried once or twice with the potty but she would stand up and then pee. She's very stubborn and I don't want to push her because I don't want to turn it into something negative. I just don't think she's ready yet.
We do have a potty book she's interested in reading and I think that might be starting to help with the idea at least.
angelsnight, I would go back to block one and stay there until she masters it. Then move to block two and stay as long as she needs to. We didn't start underwear until 6 weeks after starting. I had to go back to block one due to accidents and move slower through each block.

I agree...I don't think it needs to be pushed, especially since they just turned 2. It's still early.
angelsnight, if it makes you feel better DD had plenty of accidents during the second week. She would have an accident a day for almost 3 weeks. Then one day the accidents stopped. Just keep pushing through it and it will all click for her. We had several rough patches and now she is doing great. I don't even take the potty chair with us anymore when we leave the house.

Also, she's still sleeping in the crib so I'm not sure how that would work anyways. She hasn't tried to climb so I'm not switching her until I have to.

You could just wait to night train. Elena started calling out in the night to go potty so I would/still have to get up with her. I can't seem to convince her it's ok to get out of bed and go by herself (I leave the little potty chair in her room at night).
I think part of the calling out for potty is her knowing the power that comes with it. She realized real quick saying potty got a fast response from me.

Thanks, I am going to keep trying for now. I just wish leaving the house weren't so stressful. She actually hasn't had an accident when we're out and about, I just worry about one, so it's stressful.
Like today, she wore a dress. At least with pants they can help soak it up a little, but a dress, she would just make a puddle on the floor. So I caved and put a pull up on her but still took her to the potty often as if she wasn't wearing one. I'm pretty sure the pull up was dry all day but she barely went in the potty, so the pull up will probably be 5lbs in the morning.
I keep telling myself, if I got our puppy trained, I can do anything. That damn dog seriously took like 6 months to train!

I'm waiting until after 2.0 arrives because DS has had a ton of change lately and will be in for tons of change when 2.0 comes in 4 weeks. Occasionally he will sit and he sits at daycare with sometimes going, but it's not an issue we are forcing right now.
We have a potty that she sits on fully clothed sometimes. But we're dealing with poop holding and the GI said don't even go near potty training right now
I say that DD is potty trained. She may have an accident 1-2 times in a 7 day period. Always does so much better at home with no accidents, and most of the ones she does have I don't really count because she will be heading to the potty when I pick her up at daycare and just does not make it on the pot (I think I distract her). I now sneak into daycare in the evenings to be sure she is not on her way there. She knew she needed to go but just could not make it there in time.

Haven't started yet. She's not totally interested and I'm not looking forward to doing it. She has started telling us when she's pooped. Half the time she's right and half the time she's a liar (lol).

So just a week since I said how frustrated I am, I can pretty much say E is potty trained now. That's not to say that she'll never have an accident (and we haven't started night training yet) but I can pretty confidently say she's got it. We're on day three in a row with no accidents (and when she does have one it's often my fault too for not prompting her to go, she doesn't always tell me). I think she "gets it" and only has accidents now when she absolutely cannot hold it.
A few days ago I was getting her ready for bed and put her diaper on, and she started whining and pulling at her diaper. So I took it off and set her down and she ran to the potty and pooped! I was so proud. Then today, we're all sick and I just couldn't deal with it today so I put a diaper on her (I don't recommend this, I was worried it would confuse her but thankfully it didn't).
Around 7 she said pee pee so I took her to the bathroom, took off her diaper (that had been dry since 3pm) and she peed in the potty!
So, just wanted to say for those that are frustrated or think their kid isn't getting it, it can literally change overnight. Hang in there!
We're in the kinda sorta camp. He will use the potty at daycare but doesn't ask at home yet. I'm planning to start hardcore potty training in a few weeks once we have all adjusted to having a new baby in the house.
