@lildiamondeyes, enjoy your trip! I freaking LOVE Chicago! doglover31, hope your time with MIL is swell @giamia923, you and DH have had a LOT going on these past 2 years. You're getting to the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully things start falling into place! I have a lot of cleaning to do this week. One of my BFFs and her husband are coming up on Saturday to check out our new house. I need it to be pretty!

So I found out the same Doctor that is out this week will be out again next week. His calendar is full! Like 75 patients to reschedule. And I have no idea when he is going to be back.... This shall be a fun day.

Sorry for the sudden, unexplained deactivate. I had been feeling for awhile that I had a little too much personal info out there that was connected to a screen name that happens to also be a still used email address. A couple months ago a friend who lurks found me on here and said "it wasn't hard to figure out who you were based on some of your history". That got my wheels turning and realized I probably should go through and clean off some info. Then that got really time consuming and I'd still have the email problem, so I did a complete delete.
It took me awhile to be able to sit down and set up a new account. I haven't read all, but I've lurked a tiny bit since. I see you guys have been super busy!
MH now has a sore throat and is likely dying, send all the booze this way please. I'm supposed to be taking tomorrow off for a family fun day at the zoo but now who knows...booooo

Why is there tread on top? So you don't slip when you're crawling?
ETA: "The double tread design provides skid-resistant treading on the top AND bottom of the slipper for more coverage. Helpful for those whose foot movements cause slippers to rotate on feet."
Who is this happening to?
People who drag their feet or can't lift their foot all the way.
Interesting melw629, never crossed my mind. I would think if the foot was dragging the tread would be counterproductive but I don't know anything about this. That makes more sense than the description of helping keep socks from rotating on feet.
It made me think of my dad, who doesn't walk well. He can't lift his feet, so he swings out and around to take a step, and drags his instep on the ground. I could see socks like this spinning circles around his foot, so the two-sided tread would be useful.
Sorry to bring the thread to a grinding halt. Carry on...
Oh no not at all, this is helpful information melw629 , and my apologies if my comment was taken as being rude! My grandmother couldn't walk due to diabetes but was never given anything like that at the hospital, so it didn't occur to me.
You didn't bring the thread to a grinding halt, it looks like it's just me here anyway figuring out how to stay warm.
I'm also here dressed for winter and have my desk heater on because its constantly freezing in here, WTF Its supposed be almost 70 outside today
Congrats for your H finishing law school @giamia923! Good luck with the bar stuff.
It's been cloudy and rainy here this week. We've got several outside activities this weekend so I'm not complaining too much because at least the temps will be reasonable.
Add me to the cold people. I've had enough of this cold/rainy weather. Not that I need full on summer, but some pleasant spring would be nice!
All of S'S new shorts and shirts are mocking me every time I open his drawers. I may have loaded them up too soon. All his long sleeves and pants are looking beat and a smidgen too small.
@giamia923, sorry but let YH clean the bathroom, its usually the men that make it gross, lol
N40Mom, i have dresses and sandals but not much else for H. I'm planning on going out on my lunch break today to least get a few pairs of shorts and tshirts. I *think* the weather is finally getting better here
I wish I could delegate the bathroom task to dh or ss. They would let it go way too long. I can't seem to train them to wipe off the counter at the sink. It's the same with kitchen counters. Seriously guys? You don't see the toothpaste/stuble/crumbs/jelly? It's a well known fact in our house that you don't come near me or ask for anything within an hour of me cleaning the bathroom. So friggin gross, I get rage filled.
i"m eating a pretty pitiful peanut butter sandwich, we didn't even jelly, wah
Help me decide, should I just work tomorrow? I'm supposed to use a comp day I have had since November and we are supposed to go to the zoo but I don't know if we will. I really don't want to work but at the same time feel like maybe I should since I was out on Monday? H seems like she mostly just has a cold but is it too much to take her out for the day tomorrow? I really wanted to go
I think i'm broken. I'd much rather clean the bathroom than the dishes. We have 2 footless pj's from the children's place and T loves them. jt2378 how's her cough?
its random, she seemed to be coughing alot and couldn't nap yesterday but then was fine all night last night. MH says she is ok, mostly runny nose and some coughing. It is not barky at all anymore, seems more productive
