eliza040502 we're flying delta/air France, it's our only option for direct to Paris. We did the same flight last year on our way to Italy and it was fine. I feel like Delta is improving and I've had good luck with them lately. Air France has always been a little better than their partner. I've never flown British airways. For us it's all about the time and the cost.
We are most likely going with Air France due to timing. Did you buy a seat or are you doing the baby bassinet?
We did the bassinet. He's technically too long for it but not too heavy so we'll see what happens. I'm crossing all things that there's an empty seat. Our flight there is a red eye. If we had booked further in advance and tickets were cheaper I would have gotten him a seat but we're going for H's school and couldn't book until he was accepted, by then tickets weren't cheap.

caitost21, we've done hotel cribs many times and have never had a problem. Usually it's a pnp, but we did get a real crib at a swanky airport hotel once. I do bring our own sheets though.
AFM, looks like we were allergy free for all of two days. I gave DD2 scrambled eggs this morning and she loved them! Then her whole face erupted in hives everywhere the egg touched. And then she puked. So, absolutely no egg for me or her until she's allergy tested in a month. I leave for Europe in a week. I will just have to admire the pastries vicariously by feeding them to DD1.
hovenb, glad they're both okay! Hopefully the financial damage is minimal. Glad F was already at DC!
I'm getting really frickin' annoyed with a supposed buyer for some diapers I'm de-stashing. She says she wants the lot but won't respond when I try to set up pickup. I told her that I was going to make the lot available to others, so then she said Wednesday but never responded to time or place. So I messaged again this morning, now she says Friday, but again won't respond to time or place. At this point, I'm opening it back up; if she whines, I'll just remind her I've given her nearly a week. I've noticed her claiming other lots on the swap group; I'm curious if she's actually picked any up.

I would've given up on her a long time ago. This isn't lay away.

Afm, my husband got in a car accident today. He is just sore and luckily he had just dropped off F at daycare, but our dog was in the back and is rightfully shaking. Our car might be totaled. It sucks so bad that when you get in an accident (and it was the lady behind him who is at fault) you lose money regardless. Either our car won't resell as well or it is totaled and we will have to pay some.
Forgot to take a pic this morning, but I've got diapers sunning on the upside down stern of our sailboat (which is currently stored in our patio). Our HoA won't allow you to hang clothes outside to dry (snobs), so I figured patio counts as "inside." The east side gets sun in the morning, west in the evening. Before I realized this, I'd sun them in the driveway (HA!), but I've been paranoid about birds pooping or squirrels stealing or the wind blowing them away.
Take that, HoA. And the driveway is not a violation. There's no clothesline. I just lay them out on a towel and put weights or books on the corner. I've been waiting for a complaint, but so far, the neighbors haven't seemed to notice or care. But the patio method should work better against animals.

Layla fought her nap this afternoon so I went and picked her up since now that I know she sleeps well if she's crying I don't leave her. She instantly passed out in my arms so I'm sitting in the rocker cuddly my sleepy baby. I have missed these cuddles so so much, even if I am so.effing.hungry.

Baby boy got his first injury. Face first into his wooden cube. The triangle bruise showed up immediately right under his eye. I never heard him cry so hard which made me cry. I feel awful, I just couldn't catch him fast enough ? he currently is napping in my arms, he hasn't let me put him down since. Soaking in the snuggles and hopefully he wakes up a little more happy and feeling better. Ugh I feel awful #momfail
Hugs! This was how I felt yesterday when Z tumbled and bit his gums with his bottom teeth. He was crying so hard and definitely wanted more snuggles. The good this is he got over it pretty quickly.

Between following LED's live blog and clingy baby I've gotten nothing done today and haven't eaten anything for breakfast or lunch. I was going to run to Subway but my desire to stay in pjs is big. Yesterday was a nightmare and I just want to hide until tomorrow when I see my therapist. Anxiety is annoying.
I came back to catch up on here hours ago, but after reading @gothefawktosleep's post, I have been following LED's live blog ever since and doing nothing else.

Oh, no! Glad everyone is okay and F wasn't in the car. I hate how insurance works, hope it works out in the best way possible.
Also, isn't there a tipping point where a convertible becomes safer than a infant bucket? The bigger they get?
We'll switch when we get back from our trips in a month. I'm not looking forward to having to wake a sleeping baby to get out of the car.
As long as the child meets ALL requirements (and has not reached one of the limits), it is installed properly, and the child is restrained properly, then one style of seat is not more safe than another. If a limit has been met, then the seat is outgrown and a convertible would be the safest option. I hope that makes sense.
There are new guidelines recommending that babies be in convertibles by their first birthday for head stability. I was going to say that we are a ways off from that, but then I remembered that isn't really true and our babies are losing their baby
I found a walker at a consignment store today for $15! The reviews are pretty decent on it. I'm hoping Jacob likes it b/c he now hates the jumperoo.
Those things are illegal in Canada lol
Yeah, they're sort of frowned upon here I've seen with further reading. He hates it right now anyway, lol. I also don't intend on having him in it for long periods of time which I think was the main concern.
C had an epic puke when I picked her up from DC (my moms house). All over me, her, the floor. We got her home and she had a fever of 100.5. Gave Tylenol and it resolved. No more vomiting, no diarrhea. Nothing eventful reported from DC today - ate fine, slept fine. But, she was super grumpy and it seemed like her mouth was bothering her. She did cut 2 teeth on the bottom, they were through the gums last week. Does teething pain continues even after the teeth are through the gums? I didn't think teething caused vomiting....she hasn't been around anyone who is sick, no new foods. Any thoughts?
ETA: she did have an epic vomiting episode a couple of weeks ago. But no other symptoms, no new foods, no fever. Just seemed like a fluke.
Thanks for all the kind words yesterday. I kinda forgot how close I got to so many of my customers over the past nine years, that hearing news like that just really made me so sad.
My moms flight got cancelled till tomorrow for her vacation so she hung out with us today. We went out for some ice cream so the kids were happy.
Oh and Val finally broke another bottoms tooth!!! So we have #3 now & it totally explains her lack luster attitude lately. I have been feeling around for weeks I feel in that tiny mouth then boom a tooth. I hope this means a happier baby!

Dinner wasn't ready in time so I just downed a glass of wine and headed to my hair appointment. Here's hoping I don't come home with a shaved head or anything!
