This is hilarious (and gross) and makes me feel better about MH. His main annoying behavior are the piles of clothes and using the laundry room as his personal closet/hamper/dressing area. He always gathers his nail clippings in to the toilet (but doesn't flush them bc drought). One icky thing is leaving his iPhone armband holder thing (soaked in sweat) laying around. He's also not great about putting things in the dishwasher, but my life is blissfully free of his snot/boogers. He also is great about putting the toilet seat down, presumably because he grew up with two women.
H finally got the toilet seat goes back down about a year ago! He hates it when I slam the seat down instead of gently placing it back down. I don't lift it so why should I care if I fix the situation quietly. Since this past fall we now have an anti slam toilet seat. At least it's never up though!
My H does, I do it sitting on the floor and throw my clippings in the trash after I'm done.
I used to do it over the garbed in the bathroom, but our bathroom is just too cramped. Now I do it on the floor or on the bed over a tissue and then throw them in the trash.
But, by far, the most annoying thing H does is spends so much time on the toilet. I do not get it. And, yes, most of the time he is actively using it. I keep trying to tell him that's not normal and he should see a doc. 8 years of living together and I don't think he's going to listen to me any time soon.
It must be normal be ALLLLLLL the men I know/hear of are the exact same way

Honestly, I'm glad my insides work a lot better than his. I don't have the time to sit on the pot for at least an hour everyday!

Seriously! I was kind of ticked off at him last night so I actually went upstairs and pretended to poop for 15 minutes! First time I've ever done that. I'm using in and out in like 3 minutes. I could hear DD yelling at him to help her with something and he was all "you'll have to wait, I have your brother!" Then "hey, are you done yet?" Maybe I got the point across.
Glen is pretty ocd and neat freak. I'm the annoying one in that regard in that I leave bottles all over my dresser/nightstand, dishes next to the sink, clothes on the floor next to the hamper. I explained the clean-dirty-sorta dirty thing to him and he hung hooks on the closest and door to hang the sorts dirty stuff. I do it about 20% of the time.
I used to leave my shoes everywhere and Diet Coke cans with a little left. After many animated talks, I've gotten a lot better. Once every 2 weeks I forget to put the lever down in the tub to make the water come out the faucet and not the shower head. He flips every time. Then I get annoyed because why can't he just look and notice it's not down before turning the water on?
We also get into it over the car seat. He gets annoyed when I don't adjust it back. I don't understand why I should have to adjust it for him.
He also annoys me about cleaning up. I'll use a blanket on the couch. When I come back from the bathroom it's folded and put away. Dude, the shows not over, leave my blanket alone!
It all comes down to personality. I'm much more laid back so I don't get worked up about the trash an being 75% full. He likes things his way and it's just easier for me to accommodate than argue.
This sounds like my mom's SO. You drink something and set it on the counter and 30 seconds later the glass is in the dishwasher, even if you had planned to come fill it up again.
Whenever MH changes a wet diaper he ALWAYS leaves it on the changing table. He claims he forgets that he needs to throw it away. Also, whenever he changes the girls' clothes he just tosses their dirty clothes on the floor. Sometimes this happens in the living room..I'll walk in there and there will be Evelyn's dirty outfit from the day, just laying there.
The way DH drinks his water absolutely annoys the crap out of me ! He sounds like a horse drinking out of a troth !
Also , everyday he changes out of his work clothes , instead of putting them in the hamper that's in HIS closet .. He just piles them up on our dresser .
He just doesn't like to pick up things , which bothers me I'm super OCD and a clean freak !

SO does the same thing. I love seeing a dirty diaper on my dining room table and scattered baby clothes everywhere.
I have to admit that I'm the worst with my car. So many empty water bottles, random papers, gum packs, piles of napkins, and general dirtyness
