DH and I have found out we are having a little boy!! Which is exciting, but I have all the girl names I can think of in my head, but none for Boys.
DH has had a name that he has wanted to name his son for years, so I have decided to be kind and go with his choice of Brighton as his first name.
However, I find this choice, as well as our choice of baby's last name (it is tradition in DHs family to take fathers first name as last name, DH's first name is NOT common) to make finding a suitable middle name difficult.
My considerations:
Brighton is 2 syllables
Last Name is 3 syllables
Last name begins with "A" and is an Indian name (as in South Asian)
Do not want his initials to spell weird things, like BRA or BAA. Or do you all think that is not a big deal?
What the heck do I do with his middle name??? I had a few names I liked:
Christopher
Devon
Dean
Elliot
Nicholas
Oliver
But DH has vetoed them all, saying he now wants Alexander. But I do not want baby's initials to be BAA!!
Any Ideas?? Thanks a bunch in advance!!
Update:
So it has been some time and I think I have narrowed it down. Just a note, I get that many of you didn't like the name Brighton, but that's not really up for discussion, I don't care that much to fight that battle, and the name has a nice sound to it, so it stays.
My final options are:
Brighton Elliot A......
Brighton Oliver A......
Brighton Alexander A...... (DH's choice)
Brighton Sebastian A......
I like these because I will basically call him a nickname from any of these middle names. I really really like Sebastian, but that leaves my poor little guy with a long @ss name (24 letters)! I'm seriously thinking of waiting to choose until he's born, to see which of these I think fit him best.
Thoughts??
