How do you do it?

A lot of us here have 2 LOs now so my question is how do you (did-when they were young babies) run naptimes? Are you strict with all naps in the crib or just have baby nap wherever when needed?

Right now I'm not so strict with the baby and know I need to get more on a routine with naps but I feel like if I go full fledge with naps in the crib we will never get out of the house between the baby and toddler sleep schedules. The baby sleeps great out on the go in the carseat, in my arms, swing, crib, rock n play and sometimes falls asleep just playing on the floor. When should I stop this? I guess I'm struggling with finding the balance between helping baby get on a daytime schedule and being able to get my toddler out and about everyday. Does anyone have any advice or tips?

With my first (S13) she didn't have a nap schedule until closer to 6m, and wasn't worried about it until the baby was that age. Now she is 5m and the last couple weeks I'm now letting her her cat nap in the bouncy seat in the morning and early evening, but put her down for a long nap in the crib when big sister goes down. Both kids sleeping for 2 hours at the same time mid day..amazing. I'm not sure how I pulled it off, luck I think.

I definitely prioritize toddler naps, because she will only nap at home, in her bed.
When I'm lucky, they both nap at the same time. It's starting to become more of a regular occurrence, but it doesn't always work out that way.

Since DD1 loves to get out of the house, I often put the baby in the wrap and we go for a walk while she naps. The way I see it, she's still getting her nap, but we are getting out of the house which really breaks up the day.

Thanks for the advice ladies! His night time sleep is great so maybe what we are doing is just fine for now. Having 2 LOs is a whole new ballgame to figure out! I know the 4-5 naps a day doesn't last a long time so maybe I'm better off waiting a bit to instill a stricter nap routine.

My LO is 5 months. About a month ago I started being able to get them both to nap together in the afternoon. It's bliss. Before that nope nope nope
