Did anyone spot early in pregnancy and not have a miscarriage? I had super light spotting this morning, very light pink. Not even enough of a panty liner and it stopped after an hour. Shit, I was not ready for the worry of pregnancy again.
ETA: I may go introduce myself on the J17 board so I don't drive y'all crazy.

I spotted. No miscarriage. I went to the doctor to get checked. It must have been around six weeks.

Super common, you're probably fine. You have an appointment today, right?

+1 with my first. They did an US to be on the safe side. I was about 7-8 weeks, don't remember.

You're not going to drive us crazy!
Yes, I spotted during my pregnancy with M and everything was fine.
rnchloe I leave Layla in the car when I'm running up to someone's house to deliver a bib, so I consider that along those same lines as you grabbing the laptop and it's never even seemed wrong to me. She's in there less than 2 minutes without me.
I would never leave her in the car and go into a grocery store, or anything else.
I guess it's one of those things that where do you draw the line? It's OK if it's only for 30 seconds or a minute or less than two minutes. But 3 minutes is definitely way too long. And you have to be able to see them if you can't see them then it's wrong... But if you can see them you can leave them for 5 minutes... I can see where the lines get blurry
Maybe it's wrong that I judge parents who leave their kids in the car to go into the grocery store but I think it's ok for me to run into a building for 1 minute.
Im mostly just irritated at my mom for throwing around words like "neglectful" and "wrong" towards my parenting.
My personal comfort level is that I need to (mostly) be able to see my car and know that he's not going to over heat.
I have a remote starter so leave G in the car every day when I drop off DD at the sitters. I go in the house and remote start the car so it's climate controlled. Some times I'm in the house for 5-10 min but I know he's locked in and safe and I can look out to make sure that no one is messing with the car.
Add me to all the coffee club !! LO was up from 11-2 . Then 4-5 then up for the day at 7. I'm super exhausted , then I got up to make my coffee and my coffee maker stopped working .
Luckily my birthday was yesterday so I'll take my bday money and get the coffee maker I've been eyeing up .
DH took me to my fav sushi place last night , he hates the place so basically I only get to eat there once a year for my bday . Another treat , I went to chuck e cheese for the first time . Me and my nephew share a bday so he wanted to go yesterday , surprisingly the toddler loved it !

I did with DS. For a few weeks too, I had a yeast infection I didn't know about that caused the spotting.
rnchloe - I've left A in the car, locked, to run a package into UPS. Took less than 30 seconds. I've had the debate about running into the gas station for coffee, but I always wind up hauling her in there with me due to CPS concerns and not knowing how long of a line I'll find myself in. Your mother was definitely exaggerating the situation. Also put her in the car seat before returning a cart. I've seen many a mom do this at Target, so I think this one is socially accepted.
If she's sleeping, I've also left A in the car for a couple minutes to unload bags or grab the mail. She's in the shade of the garage, so NBD. We don't let her continue napping in there, of course, and bring her into the house as soon as we're done unloading. Her door is open the whole time, so we can hear if she starts crying from inside the house or down by the mailbox.
I did debate one time about calling out another mom. It was at a pharmacy. Saw her get out of the van and RUN into the store; and I could see two kids bouncing around inside plus a rear-facing seat, so there might have been a third. Inside the store, she was booking it, clearly trying to be as fast as possible. She was at the checkout within a couple minutes loaded up with diapers and OtC meds, so I'm betting it would have taken more time to unload 2-3 sick kids and haul them around than dash in and out.
My dad left me in the car numerous times for longer than he should have. My mom did briefly within our hometown, but never in an unfamiliar place. Not as a baby but old enough I remember, so I don't know, 6 or so?

I actually bled heavily in the first tri for 10 days and didn't miscarry. It was nerve wracking, but I hope yours hours away soon! No need to leave!
I can see where she is coming from. She brought up that if I went in there could be a line of people at the window, the receptionists might get chatty, or they could be jn the phone. So running in for a second could end up taking longer.
Also people are nuts and will break your window not knowing the situation. It's a risk I shouldn't take if I don't absolutely have to. In nomnom case of twins she really doesn't have an option.
This parenting this is hard. You always feel like you're doing the wrong thing.
sandj918 I spotted with my first pregnancy that ended in m/c. I spotted in my second pregnancy that ended in a healthy baby. I had IB both times. My OB said its very common.

At this point someone just send me all the alcohol .. This baby refused sleep last night and just took a 15 min nap .. That's it , 15 mins !!??!?!Can't deal !

I had bleeding so heavy I just assumed it was my period. Which is why I thought I was 6 weeks when I was actually 10. So I introd in Dec 15, spent pregnancy on Nov 15 and ended up with a Sep 15 baby. Or maybe I'm a board whore. I hope it is nothing. Good thoughts for your baby.

rnchloe, I have the debate of "do I leave the baby" all the time. When I am returning the shopping cart, or getting the shopping cart, I leave Jacob in the car and bring the keys with me with the car remaining locked. If it is super hot out or the car is in the intense sun, I might not do that, or back closer to the cart corral. I do think you Mom could have explained herself a little bit better to you instead of saying you were "neglectful".
So today I was in BRU getting a floaty and a baby pool for Jacob since the weather is going to improve this week. This older woman came up and started talking to Jacob and said it was "obvious he was a boy, because sometimes it is hard to tell." OK, thanks. Then she proceeded to tell him he needed to eat more. WTF. I commented, "he's petite like his Mommy." I really wanted to smack her, I hate when people comment on how a child looks. When he was first born I had to stop BFing b/c of weight gain problems and it just wasn't what I needed to hear. I'm glad he just stared at her and didn't smile.

A girl in my local group recently had CPS called on her for running into the hospital to drop off flowers. The car was secured and in her line of vision. A valet was watching her car. She still had to deal with police and CPS. I don't worry about my kids. I worry about other parents worrying about my kids. If I was ever worried for a kids' safety, I would wait at the car for a bit to make sure a parent was around. Not immediately call CPS.
This lady is local to me and she has all her chewelry on clearout as she's not going to sell anymore. I got some today and they super nice! Also prices in CAD

Spotting is verrrrry common. My SIL had big blood cloth and baby is A-1 and my sister spotted through all of her 2 pregnancies.
I took progesterone so I pretty much had discharge the colour of the rainbow in the first few weeks.
Went to Old Navy and got a few pairs of shorts in a size up. Uhhhh, but best decision ever. It's so freaking hot here today, even with my car AC running, A was a wet in his car seat.
Anyone else find it extremely hard to go out with baby now? I thought that the older they'd get, the easier it would be but it's the complete opposite.

I was just bitching about this. This summer is going to be such a pain. I love to take DD1 to the park/pool/zoo/museums in the summer but DD2 doesn't handle missing naps nor will she nap out & about so I'm stuck with the 3hr window between her naps. And plus she doesn't like being contained, wants to crawl around, AND wants to put EVERYTHING in her mouth.
