Still pregnant. So. Uncomfortable. Why oh why did I say doing the induction on night of 41w6d was okay? I could have been induced today but nooooooo. "I want to do it on my own" she said. "I don't want any meds" she said. Why am I so stupid? I just want this baby out now & these thoughts of my former self seem so pointless now. And of course it's a 3 day weekend and I think the earliest they could re-schedule the induction now would be just 1 day earlier. Ugh.
OB couldn't even do the membrane sweep when I saw her Thursday because I was not even a full centimeter. Now what do I do? I guess I'm going to beg someone (anyone!) to check me & do sweep on Tuesday when I go in for my NST, even though my regular OB is going to be out on vacation.

Red raspberry leaf tea? I have no idea if it really helped but I started taking it on week 38 at that point I was not dilated or effaced and at 39w on the dot I lost my plug. Baby was born at 39 w 3d.
I had a miserable slow labor and couldn't get comfortable unless I was soaking in a warm bath or the pool. The tub was heaven for me.
If you got access to a pool try hoping/jumping around in it.
Other people swore by going up and down stairs - I didn't try it.
I've been here. I know how awful it is... It improved after about 3 weeks. I did a few things to save my sanity and my nipples - introduced first one, then two bottles of pumped milk per night, had my DH take the first feedings of the night so I could get a good 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep, and let him suck on a pacifier to his heart's content.
oh how I wish he liked the paci. DD loved hers, and it was wonderful.
3 weeks! I can do it.
DS is 4 weeks today and only finally sort if takes a MAM starting yesterday. Sometimes we have to hold it for a bit but it's making a world of difference in the noise level of my house
Sorry GOmamab15. My cervix was totally closed up (and really high) the day I was supposed to get a membrane sweep too, so they couldn't do it. I went into labor on my own a few days later. The old wives tales that I tried were walking and sex. I hope you have this baby soon! Come on cervix!
You would think with this being our second, my h would have learned I have no sympathy or patience for how "tired" he is. You slept 3 more hours than I did, buddy. Take the screaming toddler downstairs.

Oh man. Life twins. DH tried to pretend he didn't hear DD1 this morning. I was nursing DD2 so I poked him and made him get up anyways.

My h thinks that bringing the toddler in bed with us means he'll be able to sleep more.

Theee wake ups last night. She grunted most of the night as well. I am exhausted.
DS2 was up most of the night grunting and gassy. I don't remember DS1 and DD grunting at night. I feel like a zombie this morning and I have a major headache.

It's about 2 am - I would still be asleep if DH would put it together that you can't just lay a baby down the second they fall asleep.... He blissfully did the first overnight feeding but then spent the next however long just trying to put the baby down and getting pissed he'd wake up. FFS - just hold him for 5 minutes. Problem solved.

DS has been nursing pretty much nonstop for almost an hour and a half. I'm just waiting for him to throw up all over me because I'm pretty sure he is just nursing for comfort at this point. He won't take his paci. I took him to a family friend's place to watch the fireworks. My family was passing him around and the fireworks themselves ended up being quite loud where we were. So he might be overstimulated?
