Ugh! We are up. Ainsley has dropped to 4 lb 14 oz. so even with formula supplementing while we nurse she is struggling. Now we wait and see what the pedi says during rounding tomorrow.
Woke up to pee (again) and in a cold sweat. Anyone else sweating at night? It's weird how I feel like first tri symptoms are back! I haven't had night sweats since first tri, is this weird?

No advice (FTM) but hugs and FX that it turns around very soon!
Andrea yup. Googling nausea 38 weeks. I'm not having contractions but I feel awful. I can't tell if I'm starving or I'm going to vomit everywhere.
This is exactly how I felt most of yesterday. I didn't eat hardly anything for dinner because I just felt to sick. It reminded me of first tri morning sickness. I hope today is better for both of us!

Dittttttttoooo
I had the worst reflux yesterday and last night too, not sure if that's related, it was awful.
bighair12 I'm sorry, I can't imagine the stress and worry this gives you. I hope you're getting a lot of support and the pedi can offer more options or solutions for you

Thinking of you and hoping you can get some reassurance today and that she will start putting weight on!

I asked about reflux yesterday because I have never had it and it kept me up all night the night before. She said it's because while you are pregnant the opening of your esophagus is very loose, and when your filled with baby (as we are) our food just kinda hangs out by that opening. She recommend papaya or apple cider vinegar.

Owen dropped to 5lbs 5 oz from 6 lbs 1 oz at birth in like 3 days. I get the worry completely. Huge hugs lady.
How's things going Andrea? Have you slept at all yet?
Girl we are making it. See the above. I'm just in a never ending cycle of pumping, feeding & supplementing to get Owen caught up. He's at the 2% in weight. Heading to our LC again today to check his weight.
Andrea, and bighair12, I hope that your littles start gaining. DS lost a bunch after delivery and his first week home, even with supplementing. We found that the root of the issue was a tongue tie and lip tie. Ask your pedis to check!

bighair12, Andrea, I just want to say that I understand the fretting over weight. I brought home a 5lb 3oz baby, down from 5lb 8oz, before knowing my milk had come in yet. Technically, up to 10% weight loss is normal (and expected!) in newborns. The trained pediatrician in me knows I shouldn't worry, but the mom in me still does. It's so hard when they're so tiny and every ounce seems so precious.

The concern was that he lost over 9% in a little over a 48 hour period. The 10% loss typically happens over a week or so period. It started to mildly affect him neurologically.
Nugget is a fighter though. We are bouncing back nicely.

Girl you are telling me.
Haha, mine's been breastfeeding and pooping nonstop for the past 5 hours. No sleep for mama tonight! We have a pedi appt at 9am. I feel like he's saying "See, I may be small but I can do it!!"
