My H kept the baby downstairs last night so I could get a decent nights sleep. When I went to get him at 5 he had just finished a bottle and was hanging out in his bouncy chair. He's too big for that thing but still loves it more than life hahahaha. I slept from 10-5 and feel great. Baby is still asleep next to me in bed and toddler is still in his room. We did put the a/cs in yesterday so maybe those are the reasons for my morning miracles
Today I'm hoping to pick up hanging flower pots for the front porch. We *should* be done with frost but MA is tricky. Also looking to pick up some new flag bunting. I've been using our old ones for years alternating sides but they are pretty beat. Kohls has them for 50% already so we might go there.
Target run for some dire necessites including tshirts for the baby. DS1's baby shirts are belly shirts on him. DS2 has about 2 inches on DS1 at this age. I'm sure we will end up with random shit we don't need because Target haha.
Looks like a rainy and cloudy day so the playgrounds should be empty and quiet.

OK everyone wait for . . . . C slept . . . 8pm-4am!!! Thats 8 hours! I couldnt believe it. When he woke up for a feeding, I got up per usual, going through the motions, then I looked at my phone saw it was nearly 4am and almost fell out of the glider I was so stunned. He ate quickly and quietly, then nodded back off for another 2.5 hours. No co-sleeping, no fighting, no crying, no puking on me. win win win Please do this every night baby boy.

We finally had a really great night as well. She originally went down close to 7 and was up by 8 but I think it's because my husband cutting the grass woke her up. I got her back down and she went until 4, I fed her and just stuck her back in her from and she must have fallen right asleep because next thing I knew it was 7.
We have a playdate later this morning and then later this afternoon we are going to a day out with Thomas and riding the train. DD1 is so excited

Baby slept great but I didn't now that I'm all paranoid about my milk output. I'm going to nurse every 2 hours today to see if we can jumpstart things and if that helps. I really don't want to go to her 6month appointment and have to hear that she's not gaining fast enough. Today is also party prep. Jello cups are setting in the fridge, rainbow cupcakes will be made over the 1st baby nap. I also have to clean because family is staying here over the weekend for it. So much stress!!!!!!!!!
Our night was the usual. L fought sleep in the PNP and demanded to be in bed next to me. He literally passes out in seconds when I give in. He goes from thrashing all over the place, screaming in my face to sound asleep with limbs like a wet noodle in seconds. I don't know how he does that.
Eta: today I plan to finish a quilt and start on another dress for DD and a romper for L. My mom is staying another week to help me with dr appointments and I plan to sew everything I can think of while I have her help. She gives great lessons and of course it's free with a sitter included! Win win!!!
Baby girl is sleeping much better now but still chewing through the day. Got groceries done, now my H is power washing the deck and the cars. Going to go do our 6M pictures I think, get another nap in, and get ready for our first trip to the zoo !!
We tried yogurt this morning - stonyfield baby yogurt - and she loved it! I'm trying to find more meal ideas for her so we're trying more foods.

E woke up at 5:45 and I just wasn't ready, so after she fussed for awhile, and started to cry (clean diaper and fed) I brought her into the guest bedroom with me. After about 20 minutes, she was asleep. Then it was nearly 8, and H was looking for us lol. She probably would have slept longer if he hadn't come in.
My friends all made it yesterday and we had a great visit! It was wonderful to be ale to catch up, vent, be heard, and laugh.
And I found out a co-worker I had come to loathe took a position elsewhere and that just about made my day!
Today my sister is coming over and bringing me lunch I feel so social haha.
Storms later, as usual. We've dodged them every day this week so far.

So yesterday was 4 wet diapers including the overnight one, and so far 3 wet diapers including the overnight one before 10:30. So I feel much better. Maybe it was just an off couple of days or may be it's the every 2 hours making a difference...either way I'm more relaxed for now.

WFH yesterday threw F's schedule off so we didn't get him to sleep until 9pm. He slept till midnight and then was comfort nursing every half hour after that. I think I did too much dairy the day before because poor thing was clearly crazy gassy. And of course we are out of gas drops.
So - Target for sure today. I also want to try and get his name letters that FINALLY came from etsy hung up in his room - I ordered them back at the end of February!!
Oh -also we haven't tried sleep training yet. DH is now saying he thinks we should try for cementing the naps/day sleeping first and then do night sleeping once the naps are good. Which makes no sense to me but he is the one who read the darn book so i don't feel like i have enough information to push for something else. gonna try and read some of the book while I am "wfh" today. lol.

We have not nearly had as many issues as you guys but FWIW I read that babies are most motivated to sleep at bed time and that first nap. But E would NOT nap in her crib at all until we had night time crib sleeping down. She's finally napping in her crib during the day about 75% of the time with 100% of night sleep there. :/

DD woke up at 5:30 so I fed her in bed and she fell asleep again. I didn't fall asleep very hard because of cosleeping but it was better than being up for another hr. My alarm went off and I left for work and she was still asleep with DH!
I have to be careful not to let that become a habit. I love feeding her in bed, and when she does fall back asleep, it's hard sleep, but I do not want her to become a cosleeper!

Had a choking scare last night. Poor girl got a hunk of egg and took it too far back into her throat. It scared everyone including her and she cried. Dinner ended. I'll be walking back a bit on our BLW.

My kid makes dolphin sounds and it's hilarious. It's like she's saying "ah" but then keeps glottal stopping it so it's "ah-ah-ah-ah" at different speed intervals. She's also "ooh-ing" a lot again. Any day now she's going to start babbling with consonants, I just know it...
I also have to start getting her to nap in her crib. We're still doing swing naps, or naps on mom. She naps well in the swing, though! Sometimes for two hours! I feel paranoid about it and am constantly checking on her, though. I would feel more comfortable with her in the crib but she always wakes so quickly. So that's next week's project. She's doing well at sleeping at night in the crib (she still wakes up a few times, but she's always wet and hungry so not much I can do about that) so I think it's time.

Last night MH put C to bed. That way he couldn't just nurse himself to sleep. He also did a bit of the Ferber method, going in to check on him. But w Ferber, I don't think you're supposed to pick up your baby, but MH did and would rock him. I think the fact that C slept 8 continuous hours is prolly a lucky fluke but I feel really encouraged by the progress we made last night and would like to keep trying this. bluebird44- how has your sleep training been going?

I have no resolve, when I tried to put B down for the night he woke back up, so into my bed he came. He actually slept fairly well although at one point I woke up and he was nursing & I don't remember putting him on the boob.
Either my kid has had some bad gas or my nose is broken. I keep smelling poop, but his bum is clean and he had 2 baths yesterday (one because I thought he was smelly in the am and then had a poopsplosion in the afternoon so back to the tub he went.)
