cheshie6 he doesn't debate, but just likes to bring up what he sees on CNN. He knows who we support and it's clear who he hates, so I think it's not worth discussing at all. No one is going to be persuaded. If someone is deciding between candidates or wants to talk pros/cons, sure, but if just going to bring up shit to piss people off, let's just talk about the weather.
I don't think I would have noticed if anyone wore white to my wedding and I definitely didn't care if they did. I wouldn't do it (I also don't own a white dress), but I am meh about it.
sophiegrace Stepbrothers is one of my favorite movies and I know the exact moment you are talking about lol. I think you probably should vacuum upstairs, you are a kind and thoughtful hostess like that - allergies are killer this time of year. However you'll prob wake the sleeping wombat.
White to a wedding
Someone did wear white to mine, which was in February. Like, black is a safer color, we all know that right. But it actually didn't bother me as the bride. Nothing could've really ruffled my feathers on that day.
sophiegrace You have way more patience than I do. I'd have already gone off on him. Or had an obvious but silent tantrum. When we announced, DH's uncle was like, "so you're not coming to Nebraska for thanksgiving?" No. No we are not. But that fridge comment...it would have been over.
hangry hell no to wearing white. The only time it might be ok is if the bride is wearing a different color like....red. I went to one of those once.
aggiebug Chincoteague?! Sooo jealous! I've wanted to go there since I was little and read all the Misty books.
Going to breakfast with my mom and her SO. Pancakes are calling to me! L is still getting 3 of her canines and she's not sleeping well again. The last two nights she's been tossing and turning all night, waking up crying, and kicking me. Ugh. Tylenol for her tonight.
I need to pack stuff today. We got the uhaul reserved and DH recruited one of his students who is a lineman to help out. I'm concerned that we are going to move and then immediately drive to Nebraska for a week. DH's grandma is not doing well and his mom was sounding very dire on the phone. We were hoping to wait until July or at least until after our reveal party. I know it's selfish, but I don't want to move our stuff and then leave before we even unpack. We should know more in a few days.
And now I just saw someone grocery shopping while wearing a sports bra and jean shorts. As in, not just snuck in from a hot run to get a cold drink, but like I chose this outfit and am going to spend 30-60 minutes doing my weekly shopping. I mean, I know it's hot, but come on. What ever happened to "no shirt, no shoes, no service"?
hangry , I wonder about people sometimes... I wonder if the employees were just so shocked that they didn't know what to say!?! Also. I get that it's hot but grocery stores are air conditioned and there would be a few aisles that especially in the summer require a sweater. When I lived in Texas, I carried a light sweater with me everywhere because it'll be 80+ humidity outside and then you walk into any store and it feels bitterly cold.

danib - take care of yourself! I was in an emergency medicine residency while pregnant with DS working crazy hours. Maybe some people can keep up the schedule without accommodations - I sure couldn't! The whole last month of my pregnancy I had to quit working shifts (moved over to more admin type work) because I was getting horrible Braxton Hicks, vertigo, all sorts of fun symptoms. Your body will tell you when enough is enough. Good luck
aggiebug I'm embarrassed to say that I've never been! It really should be something we do soon, though. Maybe I'll have H research it. We were thisclose to going to Assateague two summers ago since its only a 20 minute drive, but we left at ten am the Saturday of Fourth of July weekend. We didn't wait the three hour wait to be able to drive onto the beach. Haha.
@classmrsa, some people must be seriously disconnected with timelines. Traveling to Nebraska for thanksgiving. Sure, can you catch a baby? I hope your H's grandma is doing a bit better and you can put off that trip a bit longer.
cheshie6 +1 to always having a sweater with me when I go to the grocery store no matter the season. It's freezing in there!

Thinking of you danib. You've not had an easy time from the beginning and I hope you get a well deserved break soon. I'm getting BH too when I don't get enough fluids in me. I hate them. Hope your DS got to bed shortly after you posted last night.
