*snip* The top of my bump keeps feeling tight. Not the lower area where my uterus is. Just the top and sides. Weird and slightly disturbing. The only pattern I've noticed is that it's only in the afternoons. Hmm.
I've been feeling like this for a while. I thought I was just weird/broken.
sophiegrace +1 to nipples are starting to scare me. STMs, do they go back to normal after pregnancy? They are HUGE.
Yes, mine went back to normal. I nursed DS for almost a year and I felt like they looked better even when I was nursing than during the actual pregnancy.
Under normal circumstances, I have what I would consider small, cute boobs, but yeah, pregnancy is not a super flattering phase for them.
Woohoo danib! That is definitely cause for celebration.
We just got back from a trip to Lowe's for new plants, and DH just went back out to get take-out. Nothing appealed to me except a blackened chicken quesadilla, so Tex-mex it is. So healthy
cookswithwine9 unfortunately, my nips never went back to completely normal. They definitely got better after birth and after I stopped BFing, but still bigger than pre preggo. I also have 3 separate scars on my actual nipples from cracks early on. It's unsightly.
danib, is it like the cramps? Like I have the tight upper abs but sometimes I get cramp like feelings in my low abs. Sometimes they are a surprise but most of the time it's after holding my bladder. Some nights, I wake up at 2am but sometimes I sleep till 3-4am and my bladder is super full and then I have cramps after I go. Is it like that?
No, I would describe RLP as short, sudden, and severe. Usually after doing something like lifting something heavy, getting up too quick, or twisting. It feels like a stabbing pain. Like I feel like my body just fell apart for a second. Then, 2 minutes later, I feel fine. Am I the only one that would describe it that way?
cheshie6 Yours sounds more like uterine stretching or uterine contractions, like BH or something.
I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one kleigh, aggiebug, and cookswithwine9! I'm excited to have some size (I'm now a B cup if that explains how small I started), but when I take my bra off...dang.

cheshie6 sounds like BH! I get them when I either have a full bladder or right after I empty it too. Super annoying, but nothing like RLP. RLP stops me in my tracks. Like a snapping rubber band that may or may not make my abs split down the side. I called one of my friends in the ER last time because I thought my appendix had burst. I'm a bit dramatic though....

How exciting ClassyMrsA!! I agree that packing is the absolute worst, especially when you know it just has to be all unpacked again. FX it goes smoothly. Can't believe just a few weeks ago you were still hunting for the perfect place!
My nipples look like saucers sophiegrace. They didn't look the same post nursing but they definitely went back down to a more normal size. I'm sadder about the stretch marks.

Agree with all of this. Under normal circumstances, I'll experience RLP after a sneeze, or if I roll over in bed too quickly.
SG, not dramatic at all...they can be awful. Not to scare anyone b/c I was literally a one-in-a-billion case, but I experienced them so badly with DS that I was hospitalized for it. Pain/issues were compounded by a hereditary ligament condition I have. Honestly, labor was a cakewalk in comparison; I have never experienced so much pain, and for a week or more, doctors had no clue what was causing it. SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave

This makes me feel a lot better. NOT that you were hospitalized, but that it can be a legitimately bad pain. I'm prone to a lot of severe inflammation so I'm wondering if it's connected now.
sophiegrace I know! It feels surreal and weird. But I'm excited to be in our new house in a few days.
buckyb I'm thinking it might be related to water. I also haven't been sleeping great and of course have been running around getting ready for this move. I took some time to see if maybe it was weird BH since it is lower down the sides as well as the top, but no. Didn't feel a single one. Unless they are super light? So it must be something else going on in there. Stretching, gas, just heavy and pulling. But as long as it's not something bad, I guess I just should try to rest more and drink more water.
STMs have any of you had previous c sections? My scar has flared up again. It's really starting to become annoying. Itchy. Kind painful.
I know that some Mom's on N13 were talking about this, I think it's normal. Not a c-section, but I have a scar from my appendix from 1991 and it's been awful this pregnancy, pulling and feels stretched a lot of the time, whereas with DS it didn't bother me at all. Dr says that it's normal.
Maybe a Tylenol to ease the pain a bit? For sure worth letting your Dr know.
As this is skin and scar tissue stretching, maybe doing a scar massage (massage in the perpedicular direction of the scar), as long as it isn't aggravating you or your bebe. Also, are you using cocoa butter lotion? May help with intense moisturization which could limit itching. Obvi talk to your dr if it's bad though.
