Oh geez. See, and I went to a bridal "shower" that was one of those pink parties, too - just a bit much, IMO.
Although it was a hilarious time. But Pampered Chef? She wants everyone to outfit her kitchen specifically? She sure as hell better not expect any gifts at the wedding.

She said she'd already been to two showers for this person! Who invites someone to THREE showers for the same event? Not to mention the tackfest of "listen to a sales pitch and buy me these things." If she expected them to show up at the party with a gift too then she is trippin'.

Lurker jumping in! This is the second time this week I've heard of one of these. I'm in a wedding and the bride mentioned this is a thing now, and I think she was hinting at having one because she sells Arbonne and 31. I told her I would never go to one of these because it was tacky and awkward for guests!
Another lurker saying hi! The one Pampered Chef party I've been to was painful. 2+ hours on uncomfortable kitchen stools watching a stranger run through her spiel on cheese graters for the 200th time in her career, all the while not able to talk to anyone else there. Also there wasn't nearly enough food. And it was nearly impossible to duck out early because it felt like a classroom. I still have the measuring cups I bought from that party 8 years ago, but never again.
