We had take your baby to work Wednesday instead of Friday this week because I gave a dentist appointment on Friday and now I also have to take the little dog to the vet. He had a bout of pancreatitis a few months ago and it appears to have reoccurred. Time for little doggy blood tests and lab work ups. Yay.
I'm pumping furiously to build up a bigger stash in preparation for the week after next when I have a bunch if big fundraisers to work and will have to be fine for very long hours. I've been doing okay just pumping what I need day to day, but I'm getting worried now that won't be enough. My stash is woefully inadequate due to my laissez faire pumping program. Meanwhile, I'm also worried about a supply drop and how my baby is going to do when I'm away so much. In particular, I'm anxious that my husband, who is going to have her some evenings, is ill prepared to baby handle without assistance. I've got 12 days to figure it all out and the panic is beginning to set in.

Good luck w the pump-a-thon bluesorceress. Tons of H2O, lots of oatmeal and I believe Kensie mentioned something about blue Gatorade. Hope your doxie is ok.

I'm not even sure what I'm trying to ask but...when do our babies begin to drink less milk or drop feeds? I guess I'm just wondering if I'll be pumping 3x daily at work for the foreseeable future or what? I'm still pumping after she goes to sleep to make sure I have enough for daily daycare bottles and the occasional night out.
5 losses (2003, 2008, 03/12, 11/12, & 10/16) All RPL testing by several REs = all normal
All IF testing by several REs = all normal 5 IUIs (2014) = BFN

If I remember correctly, it's usually when they start to eat more solids regularly. I know our pedi says food for fun until one which means although they start eating more before one, their main source of nutrition should be milk until around the age of one. They'll probably start dropping feeds before then though.

Bennett just smacked his head on the floor, hard. He was sitting up and then threw himself backwards so suddenly I couldn't catch him in time He seems okay but it was loud. I think I'm more traumatized then he is

Yes. I'm also here. I'm guessing I'll be pumping 3x until the fall. As they get better at solids they'll nurse for less.

I did know breast milk or formula as primary nutrition for the first year so I guess I could have just assumed things might remain the same for awhile lol. So tired...

I think my is nursing less already. I'm not offering less often, she just seems to be nursing for less time... I won't drop a feeding yet, but her poops indicate she doing some good solid digesting!

rachaeleigh, sunfrogger88, unfortunately I pumped 3x a day up until I started weaning my DD (I then moved to 2x and then to 1x and then stopped). Its too early now for me to notice a real drop in feeds w C. He still nurses a lot IMO. Part of that is being such a poor sleeper - obvi if he STTN, there'd be less feeds. So other than hopefully getting him to sleep for longer stretches, I wouldnt expect to see any less feedings until close to 11-12mo range.

LT for the info. This was my suspicion. E nurses a lot, but she is very efficient and when she's done, she's done. I suspect we won't last much longer than 12M except for MOTN and bedtime.

C has already dropped a bottle at DC, but he still nurses a lot. I'm down to 2 pump sessions unless I just need more milk for the next day.

ETA: or want to add to my stash
i'm jealous you can do that! I still pump like 3-4x a day and only cover half his bottles at most!
Anyone else feel like they're wrestling every time they change a diaper? The moment I put B down he flips to his tummy if I don't hold him down!
He doesn't move a whole lot when I change his diaper - my main problem is getting him to stop grabbing his balls. As soon as I open that diaper he has both hands down there.
