I think you were the one asking about an umbrella stroller for travel? We used Lucies List recommendations and Amazon reviews and ended up buying this one:
We just took it with us to Seattle and Victoria and we both really like it. Easy to fold and set up. Light. Lays down flat for naps (Asher approved). The only thing is we wish the sunshade was more moveable or bigger. We combatted that with a muslin blanket tied to the part that pops the shade out on either side. Anyway - just thought you might be interested.
It was me and this is the stroller I have in my amazon cart haha
Being an EP Mom on vacation is fucking hard. Trying to time/schedule pumps while sightseeing and find locations on the go plus dragging the pump bag everywhere and logistics of keeping things cold and making sure we had enough milk... Ugh. I'm glad we did this trip (we LOVED Victoria) and it was low key/easy for how we usually travel. I'm also glad it didn't work out to go to Europe this summer. I can't imagine having to deal with pumping there. I think next summer is the right time for us.
We're headed back to Seattle for one more day then home. Our next trip will be SoCal at the end of the month and it will be easier since we're with family and friends a lot and only have 2 day trips planned (SD zoo and LB aquarium). Well also have a car so we won't have to calculate lugging crap and walking time...
House has been on the market for 3 days. We've had one showing and they want to buy it. I really don't like their offer though. They don't have a firm approval for the correct amount, they're using an FHA loan, they want us to throw in our fridge, and they want us to pay closing costs. I just have a gut feeling that they won't be able to secure financing and they're buying out of their price range. Also, I'm not giving up my damn fridge.
Each second is getting harder to stay in the office. I'm about to leave for the airport earlier than necessary, though I need to stop at Target and grab a couple things I forgot to pack. Tonight will be the first night without my baby. I'm trying not to think about it. uclameghan - Have to say I am SO GLAD my BF/EP days are over, so I'm not dealing with pumping - and this is only a short trip without also wrangling a baby.
I'm pumped I just called the nursery school up the street from me and they still have openings for DS age group! It's Tuesday thru Thursday starting in September.

Make the fridge a hard no. Can't you make everything subject to approved financing? I don't know anything about how it works there, but here nothing proceeds without approved financing.

Their offer included a clause giving them 20 days to secure financing. It's one of the things I'm really uncomfortable with. It's an FHA adjustable rate loan, which leads me to believe they are trying to buy outside of their true affordability range since they couldn't qualify for standard financing.
They are more than welcome to buy the fridge from us, but for us to replace it with a similar model will cost us $4K, so I'm sure they're not going to want to pay fair value.
uclameghan, huge props to any EP woman. But doing it on vacation? Major kudos. I actually thought of you yesterday (is that creepy?). I was driving a lot for work and skipped a pump because I didn't feel like juggling the logistics of it all. Which made me think of you doing it on your vacation and how admirable that is!
cowplanet, safe travels and hope you enjoy your alone time!
tsmith312, A is a bit late to the frozen mania but she's recently obsessed. We now sing way to many things in the "let it go" tune. Even more so, the "do you want to build a snowman." Do you want to eat your chicken? Do you want to share your toys? Lol
emejay, sorry about your former boss. Fx for successful treatment.
txshep, that financing situation would make me skeptical too. But if it falls through, you get to stay in your house that much longer right? It doesn't seem like a tough market to sell in down there, right?

I wouldn't sign off on that either. Multiple offers could drive up interest, but a signed conditional offer might make other potential buyers walk away. And 20 days is an eternity in real estate.

Give it a few days. Have you had an open house yet?
We got two FHA offers and when you read the fine print they kind of suck. I'd wait a little longer. Did you sign the thing so your house can be listed on Zillow/Trulia etc?
txshep, if your market is good, I'd try to delay responding to them, whether it's countering or making up something to delay and hopefully get some bites. You'd think this day and age that there'd be vetting for buyers, but FHA loans can be a PITA. Our buyers buyers had an FHA loan, so everything was delayed and then our buyers took their frustration out on us. If you were in a slow market, I'd say don't get greedy, even if the deal doesn't feel stellar. Hopefully your agent has a savvy pulse on the market and pricing. We're in prime selling time, so you should get more interest if you're priced right.
Flight delayed, ordered an overprice rum and coke with dinner. It's weak. Also, airport wifi kicks you off after 45 min. Wtf. You can hop back on, but you have to go through the whole process again. wHY?!

emejay I'm sorry about your boss. txshep I agree to try and delay a couple days and see what else pops up. I feel your pain on the fridge. Ours would also be about that much to replace but we decided it just wasn't worth it to pay to move it to CA and then store it for several months. I also am super sad about leaving my cherry red washer and dryer.

Our realtor doesn't do open houses. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen an open house down here, other than models in new developments. We are listed on pretty much every site possible. We were given a list of 15 sites, some of which I've never even heard of.
We wound up countering their offer. They provided locked in approval paperwork for about $20K over listing price of our house. Our realtor assured us the FHA loan wouldn't be an issue. He's the top rated realtor in our entire area, and DH has known him for years at his point, so we 100% trust him.
We offered to pay half of closing costs (not all), hard NO on leaving the fridge, and we accepted their sale price since it was only $2K below asking. We'll see what they come back with tomorrow. At this point the debate is really just about who is paying what towards closing.
Oh, and they need to close July 15th. Guess I should start looking for that apartment if they agree to our counter offer.
M bit me and I have a slice on the tip of my nipple. Ugh it hurts! What can I do to treat it?
Also, I'm blaming Glen for this one. He abandoned me to do bedtime without discussing it so A was running around, M got distracted and bit me while pulling off to laugh at A.
DH was eating crackers by leaving me to solo parent while super sick. But then he brought me a jumbo bag of cough drops and a pint of ice cream, and picked up the children's destruction around the house while I showered.

Forgiven.
That was sweet of him and definitely a great way to make it up to you.
I've been solo parenting every day and night since Monday all while sick and running a fever. I am up miserable, coughing, stuffy nose and battling another fever when MH turns to me and says "I'm miserable because you're making it so I can't fall asleep." If you see on the news tomorrow that a wife killed her husband while he slept...it was me.
Omg. He can sleep on the couch then!
Hugs. Hang in there. I've been teetering at the edge of keeping my shit together for a couple days. Luckily I think the fever is done.
Why does Z feel the need to wake up just as I'm starting to drift off. If I thought I could dream feed before bed, I would. For now I struggle to stay awake. I'm more tired now than MOTN

Ellis has pulled one of these the last few days. I stopped dream feeding a couple weeks ago and she didn't wake at the beginning. But now she has decided that whenever I go to sleep is the right time for her first wake up.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
