Oh my Goodness he is absolutely gorgeous! Congrats to our first Mama! I can't imagine the roller coaster you are on but you and Jackson are in safe, loving hands and he's so lucky to have such a strong Mommy who was able to grow him to 2 pounds! Sending lots of prayers for quick weight gain. You are both so loved!

One more tip, one of the best things you can do is talk to your baby, he will love to hear your voice. It's easy to run out of things to say (how many times can you say how cute/big/good he looks?), so I recommend reading to him. I saw that you are a HP fan, I am reading the books to Amelia (we are 200 pages into to book one). I find chapter books to be better than children's books. With regular children's books you end up reading the same books over and over.

Those photos are so sweet! The one of him holding your DH's hand is making me tear up in a major way. I'm praying for all three of you and your medical staff this evening.
Just seeing this - congratulations, and welcome, Jackson! Sending lots of positive thoughts for a quick recovery for you and strong, healthy progress for Jackson!

OMG guys. I've been trying to get my milk to come in and having no luck which not really suprising since I had the c-section the doctors said it could take a couple extra days. Anyway DH managed to help me get like a drop out I got all excited but lost it because I was laughing so hard I had to stop because my stomach was not having that. And in true DH fashion said something else that made me laugh it turned into quite the scene to watch.
In baby news they are going to try and ween him off the respirator over the next couple days he's doing really well on his own so they are going to put him on a cpap or plain oxygen depending on how he's doing then. He should be off the jaundice light soon as well. I'll try and get more pictures soon I don't usually take my phone down with me so all the pictures are in DHs and my MILs phone.

Just got back from saying goodnight to the boy, and they have started feeding him and I had managed to get just enough to give him the one feeding and possibly his next two, if not they'll give him donor milk to supplement until my supply is more steady. His oxygen is holding steady at 25 today it has been ranging between 21-25 with the respirator which is good, we adults breath at 21. So hopefully he'll come off it soon.

Just came back from visiting the boy. Turns out he's eating about 1.8cc's 6 times a day now. Which is more then I thought it would be she showed us and I was floored in a good way. LO is going to keep me pumping nonstop. And I think next week they increase that number of times he eats a day to 8. If they can remove the IV line in his umbilical cord today we can hold him!!! Ahhh! And his oxygen was brought down again to 20 which means hes pretty much breathing completely on his own with only a little assistance now and again. Other than that no new news he just keeps going steady. I'll to upload a video later of him.
He opened his eyes for me today despite how tired he was.
Hope this works. My MIL took this and then sent it to me. So I have no idea whats being said or at which point it was taken hopefully nothing embarrassing can be heard. Lol
