I'm having a really hard time focusing at work today. I just want to be some place queer with my queer community. I'm grateful that I work with a number of queer people and in a very queer-friendly office. But still.
As a bi person, I feel this way too. I've been kind of spiraling on the Orlando news. It's devastating.
OMG. I'm trying to poop in an empty restroom with twelve empty stalls and someone just came in to the stall right next to mine. WHY?!?! There are literally 11 other stalls to choose from that are not next to me.

****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
Potty training disaster update : it's now 12:15 and we've had three accidents .
One of which we were literally on the way to the potty and the other 2 were with in minutes of leaving the potty . It's only day 1 so I'm not trying to get super upset and defiantly not letting her see me upset . I'm hoping it kind of clicks soon!
I am staying off socia media for the next couple of days. Ever since the shooting in Ottawa (Oct 2014), I've had major anxiety watching any sort of news coverage of terrorism or mass shootings. Fortunately the Ottawa incident was so much smaller than, barely even comparable to, what has since happened in Paris, and now Orlando. But I freeze and get overcome with fear and panic seeing and reading about it. My heart breaks knowing how many families had the same gripping fear last night, thinking about their loved ones and wondering if they were safe.

Ohhh no don't be upset!! Seriously when we potty trained that exact same thing happened to us. I just gently reminded DS that next time we need to go on the potty and had him sit a little longer the next time. But seriously the fact you were either on the way or just left the potty says something. Good luck you can do it!
charliefox you are crazy!! Have fun in Tahoe. We have a cabin there and we are trying to go out this summer, but it is always so cold there!
jessiespano happy for you that you get to be in your house sooner than expected!
We celebrated my belated birthday last night with my ILs and it was actually wonderful. For the first time ever, my MiL said I was an awesome mom and she was so impressed. It meant a million times more than all the gifts she got me. She took the liberty of printing the family pictures I just had done and framed them, but I have one printing on metal right now and was going to do the rest on metal. I'm not sure what to do with the pictures she already framed.

PL is literally the worst. Big hugs!!
We did the 3 day potty training program to the book (even overnight) and it took 13 days before we were having less than 4 accidents a day
It's been over 3 weeks now and Lily is doing really well. She is dry through the night and waking up if she has to pee. During the day she has the odd pee accident but she is dry most days. We are still struggling with poop, she pooped twice on the potty on the weekend, but then had an accident this morning.

FTM showing. I've seen "PL" mentioned here a few times. What does it stand for?
Potty Learning
Some people take offence to the term Training because kids aren't dogs and so we are teaching vs training.
I don't feel anything about either term, it's just the acronym I got used to using.

I don't feel anything about either term either .... However I've had a few dogs in my life and honestly it reminds me of potty training a dog ... Like you take the dog to the yard , he doesn't pee, but you bring him in and he pees on the carpet ... I took the toddler to the potty no pee , she walks away and pees on the floor ...I'm in no way comparing my child to a dog , I just see the relevance !
UO? I have never heard of "potty learning" before and will 100% use "potty training" and judge anyone who is offended. Because, really, there are about a million more serious things to be offended about in life.

Breathe, breathe. I just got the keys to my new building and met with the guy on his way out. He FREAKED me out about this job. He's done nothing to get things ready for next school year which PISSES me off because I took care of EVERYTHING for the next person on the way out the door. I'm tired of cleaning up other people's messes.

uclameghan, what a jerk. Luckily you know now and have the summer to prepare?
hovenb, it's been super hot up in Tahoe the last 2 weeks or so and will be in the 80s again next week, but this week? 50s and 60s. Im so bummed! I was so looking forward to playing in the lake with Cal, I'm still crossing everything that the warmer weather shows up sooner.
Fuck. A patient in our facility has scabies and I've been working on this patient the last few days. I'm freaking out. The NP I work with has gotten it twice without even touching the patient. Now I can't stop feeling itchy!!
Can I just vent? I'm so frustrated with life right now. My nausea is out of control me it feels like its controlling my life. I can eat a small number of things and that list changes every day. But if I don't eat every hour I'm dry heaving. I can barely move around the house without having to lay down so I don't puke. On top of that my milk supply continues to diminish so it's getting harder and harder to nurse C and she doesn't take formula very well. I have left over Phenergan from C but a side effect is that is can cause a decrease is lactation....the last thing I need. I don't want to spend my Summer laid out on the couch but that's exactly what's happening. It doesn't help that people are constantly commenting on how I look like I don't feel well. No shit, Sherlock. I know this is a normal part of pregnancy but it's my least favorite part and I'm really hating it right now.
Huge hugs to the LGTBQ parents. I cannot fathom what your community is feeling. My heart breaks for the senseless tragedy.
tsmith312, we did the 3 day method, with some modifications. The first day I think we had a couple drops actually make it into the potty. But it clicked by day 3. Poop did take a while longer. Knitter we had a lot of success with a poop sticker chart and prize bag.
sandj918 I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy and debilitated. Hopefully it's shorter this time around!
@gothefawktosleep, so sorry about HFM. Hopefully no one else gets it. Glen's fingernails are starting to peel off now - almost 2 months later!

We are doing a mini chocolate bar for poop. She loves this and isn't refusing to go, but I think she hasn't really learned her body's signal yet.

Lol, Lake Tahoe always feels way too cold to swim in for me. Even if it's hot. My dad likes to say "well it was snow 20 minutes ago."

I've been struggling to find the words I want to say to our LGBT moms here. Since I can't figure out the right thing, just going to say I love you all and you are wonderful moms, valuable members of our community, and I love you all.
omg.... cocopuff! Her fingernails are going to peel off?
M lost 3 toenails; her Fingernails have remained in tact so far. Glen seems to have actually had the worst out of the 3 of them. His hands and feet peeled and it was so disgusting. Fingernails started peeling a few days ago and one is almost gone.
I can't believe they were sick almost 2 months ago and stuff is still happening. Knitter, evanda have also battled it recently.

Catching up on the board now. Huge hugs to the LGBT community. I wish I knew what to say. I hope everyone has been able to find the support they need.
sandj918 - I hope you feel better soon. I had terrible nausea for weeks on end. Ginger cookies, ginger chews and strawberries were the only things I could eat that made me feel better. I hope you find something! In terms of formula, perhaps try a different brand? They all taste slightly different.
J is super fussy. One of his top teeth finally cut the other day and the second one is on the way. He didn't want to eat tonight which seems to be how he operates while teething. Normally he eats close to 11 oz at bed. Tonight he took 4ish.
