EDD: 2/7/17
How many weeks today: 5w6d
First appointment plans/results: I have an ultrasound Thursday but first appointment isn't until end of the month.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) I am ridiculously exhausted, bloated a bit, and waves of nausea have been coming. I am excited/nervous for my ultrasound Thursday and I'm hoping to see the heart beating. It will be early but my betas are high so I'm hoping. DH can't come so I'm a little bummed to not have his support, but glad to not be probed in front of him. Last time was so awkward because he expected a trans abdominal ultrasound.
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! Not yet but hopefully will update Thursday with the little bean and good news.

Good luck at your ultrasound on Thursday, flyinghorses6 !
EDD: 2/23/17 according to FF's best guess for ovulation
How many weeks today: 3w4d
First appointment plans/results: I got betas drawn this morning. I think I'm just getting a result of pregnant/not pregnant today, but I will have a follow-up on Wednesday to confirm they are rising appropriately.
How ya feeling: Still in disbelief but excitement is at 100%. My only symptoms are tender breasts and light cramps. I'm freaking out every time I go to the bathroom.
Any U/S, bump pics: Not for a while, but I think I'll be getting at least one early u/s since I'm going through the RE.
First appointment plans/results: going to call the dr after this
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice): I can't stop peeing. My H acted like I was crazy bc I wake up 2-3 times to pee but I keep having to pee!!
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! : nope, nada. Just a BFP pee stick pic I keep staring at lol

EDD: February 4-6ish
How many weeks today: 6+2?
First appointment plans/results: I'll probably have a dating ultrasound at 8 weeks and my first midwife appointment at 9 weeks.
How ya feeling: I'm feeling much better. The diarrhea stopped and was replaced with constipation. I've been falling asleep on the couch after dinner and taking naps with my daughter.
Any U/S, bump pics: not yet, hopefully in a few weeks.
First appointment plans/results: My first appt is on 6/21
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) I am exhausted. I have been in SF for work since Thursday and I fly back on the red eye tonight. Thankfully I am in a lie down seat so I should be able to sleep moderately well. I am ready to be back in my own bed. Also second pregnancy bloat is legit making me already show. This is no joke, I didn't show until 14 weeks last time! Ugh!
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! None here.
appointments: First beta was this morning, wait on the call!
How ya feeling: Good so far!
Any U/S, bump pics: LOL I look 4 months pregnant from my fertility meds, but I will spare you a pic. I got some sideways looks from my family this weekend since I was not drinking so I tried to cover up my blump by carrying around my 11 month old (I think this made it even worse because of the reverse muffin top effect.) I hope the bloat goes down before LO's 1st b-day party since I am not ready to spill the beans.
First appointment plans/results: First appointment Tuesday, can't come soon enough!
How ya feeling: Everything seems to have hit me this weekend. Nausea, exhaustion, dinosaur appetite, diarrhea. I had NOTHING with DS until the nausea hit around 8 weeks, and that was pretty much the only adverse symptom I had the entire pregnancy, so this is really throwing me for a loop.
First appointment plans/results: June 22 is my first appointment
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) Feeling good so far. Some nausea and tired, but that's about it. Getting excited to tell my parents this weekend -- I know they'll be very excited. Crazy as it may seem, I'm already thinking about things we need to buy.
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! Nope.

EDD: 2/3/16
How many weeks today: 6 weeks, 3 days!
First appointment plans/results: Not until end of June at 8+ weeks.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) Tired and nauseous. The food aversions are way more intense than they were with DS.
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! Nope. My new OB won't do an U/S until the NT scan - they kept me sane when I was pregnant with DS! My plan is to beg and plead for one at my first appointment.
Also a question re Dopplers. When the nurse called with my beta results, I asked about an early U/S, and she said the best they would do would be to look for a heartbeat with a Doppler at my first appointment. I'll be 8+ weeks at that point. I believe I was 11 weeks with DS before my old OB would even attempt the Doppler (and even then I remember him warning that it might be too early). Has anyone had success early on with Dopplers? It seems strange to me, and I don't want to get myself all worked up if/when they don't find a heartbeat if it's just too early.
loubug I'm glad you're feeling good. It's crazy how early the frequent peeing happens.
addymac I do not have pee stick pics. So I still POAS every few days to remind myself.
@linewifecat high five for nap when the kiddo naps! I'm a big believer. Drink lots of water for the constipation!
@preppy I'm sorry your work trip has been exhausting. I hope you can sleep well on the plane. Are you right back to work when you get home or will you have some time off? Also I'm pretty sure I'll need summer maternity clothing, which I did not really need with my Feb 14 baby. (Also I bought so much new non-maternity clothing this year because gap sales. See you next year, I hope?)

Thanks, shellbell, I think I'll chat with the midwife at the appt before attempting. I feel like I'd get anxious not hearing a heartbeat, even if it was just too early.
Post by beachdreamer on Jun 13, 2016 16:02:54 GMT -5
lilyofthevalley, that would make me anxious too..not hearing the heartbeat even knowing it was too early. With DS, OB didn't even attempt doppler until I was right around 12-13 weeks.
EDD: 2/12/17
How many weeks today: 5w1d
First appointment plans/results: First scan tomorrow with RE. Hoping for good news. Not sure when first actual prenatal appointment will be.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) Feeling pretty normal other than sore breasts. I have to pee frequently too. Ah and I have become quick to get angry...like really fired up. I remember this happening last time too.
Thanks, shellbell, I think I'll chat with the midwife at the appt before attempting. I feel like I'd get anxious not hearing a heartbeat, even if it was just too early.
I was only okay not hearing it because I had seen it the day before at my NT scan. It still caused me some anxiety, but I understood the science.
How many weeks today: 3w4d? If LMP was 5/15, but according to FF and OPKs I ovulated 6/1 (CD 18), how far along would I be? I ovulated right on CD14 with DD so I don't know how to calculate this time!
First appointment plans/results: I haven't called the Dr yet; they won't see me until 8 weeks so I'll call the end of this week or early next.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) I've had a headache for 3 days now Otherwise, exhausted..but I watch a 5 month old little girl, along with my 11 month old, on Mondays so I don't think it has much to do with being pregnant! Also, DD has been a giant attitude queen the last few days! I'm going to say she's teething, but I secretly think she's trying to make me regret giving her a sibling!
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! No scans until 12w here..it seems so far away!

EDD: 2/22
How many weeks today: 3w5d
First appointment plans/results: I need to get a hold of my midwife. I called her a few days ago but no response. I'm not sure when she does her first appointments... 12 weeks, maybe?
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice)
I want to eat all the things, but I'm also on vacation right now so that's probably most of it! Thankfully no nausea so far.. I had 9 months of it with DS. I'm looking at babywearing wraps now that I have a legit reason to buy more.
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans!

I feel like 8 weeks is too early to find a heartbeat.... I thought it had to be closer to 10ish? I'd be hesitant because if you don't hear anything it could be absolutely nothing but, personally, I'd be stressing

EDD: 2/16/17
How many weeks today: 4w4d
First appointment plans/results: Just got my 3rd hcg results. Went from 47 to 624 in one week - so we are right on track for expected progress! I have to get more blood taken next Monday and then, because my OB office rocks, I get to schedule a dating ultrasound if things look good.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) So far I feel completely fine. No symptoms that I can really tell. Maybe my boobs are slightly sore or just a twinge bigger... it's hard to tell. I'm still unsure about when to announce... like I said, I hate hiding my drinking but still undecided.
How ya feeling: (Symptoms, cravings, rants, raves, baby names, interesting articles, good buys, other advice) Really good so far! Just a little boob soreness and a cramp every now and then. It's still early though. Feeling super excited about having a second baby! Also excited that I will be in the third trimester during the winter and not summer this time around! Also, pinkblushmaternity.com has some great long sleeve tops on clearance and I think clearance is an additional 50% off until tomorrow? I know it's early but I bought 3 fall maternity tops for $30!
Any U/S, bump pics: I know it's super early for this.... But maybe some people will have 6 week scans! Nothing yet!
pivot I'd be lying if I said I hadn't already purchased a few new things. Thanks Old Navy! Also 2/24 is a great day to have a baby -- that's DS's birthday!
First appointment plans/results: ultrasound is the 24th. Visit with OB is 7/1.
How ya feeling: no symptoms other than being tired. It's my day to do daycare drop and since I have an 8am meeting I'll have to leave by 6:15 so up at 4:45. Ugh....
First appointment plans/results: Had my first appt yesterday. U/S measured on for my O date and had heartbeat of 132
How ya feeling: My biggest issue in the 1at tri is food aversions which have already started. Work at finding good protein sources that actually sound appetizing and try to stick with those. Lots of hard candy for nausea

Edd: 2/24 or 2/23... based on my own calculations.
Weeks today: I think 3 weeks 6 days
First appointment plan: last time I went in at 7 weeks for a blood draw, and the first scan was around 9 weeks. I haven't called yet, since we're going on vacation starting Sunday. I'll probably call when I get back.
Feeling: I feel mostly fine. Kind of bloated, but I'm not sure if that's hormones or the bad eating I've been doing recently... Oops! Last time I didn't get sick or anything until around 8/9 weeks, but I realize this time could be different. I'm hoping to eat better this time and maybe it will help me not have such bad exhaustion.
ETA: I think I'm having a little ligament pulling, which makes me nervous because I feel like it's really early for that. I don't know if maybe I just know what it feels like now, and last time I didn't, or what. I'm trying not to think too much about it.
No pics! I probably look pregnant right now, but it's all the loose skin and extra cushioning from my first babe! Lol
@jacks605 that is an early morning! Hopefully the rest of the day is easy on you!
Hi scotipino! I'm glad you had a great US. I struggle with protein as well. I've been trying to do lots of yogurt and nuts.
shawnabm1320 my friends who have had 2+ all report that everything happens earlier the second time around. I've had some weird pulling/pain. It's definitely not cramping, but it's not something I experienced until later last time.

I'm late to the party, but here goes.
EDD: 2/15
How many weeks today: 5
First appointment plans/results: Will go in probably within the next couple of weeks for first appt.
How ya feeling: Give me all the mashed potatoes. And talk about exhaustion! Well, turns out a cold I had two weeks ago developed into bronchitis, so there's that, too. Not feeling too peppy.
Any U/S, bump pics: Not yet. Fortunately the blump is not out of control yet. I can still button my jeans at least.
