Ds never liked many of the classic ones like Sesame Street or Daniel tiger. He's been into backyardigans forever. Sometimes Dora. Now that he's a bit older he's been watching this really bizarre one called She-zow. He watched all the seasons twice before o caught on that the boy was changing into a girl superhero. Laser lipstick!
I honesty wonders who comes up with kids shows and how much drugs they are on haha.

I also wonder if the people who star on those shows are moving up in their career or going down. While I know some actors have had great success on kid shows, I feel like kid shows are a brief stop on a longer journey.
So admittedly I've only been subjected to a few episodes of cailou but I don't get the point of the show. Usually PBS shows teach you a lessons and cailou just seems like a brat. Am I missing something?
i think the backyardigans show is funny. my h is in love with bubble guppies. Musti drives me bonkers along with Tillie Knock Knock (just answer the freaking door already!!!)

I don't know what the point is. I wish I did. Ds1 will say things like "did you know caillou doesn't like to eat his vegetables?" Wtf caillou stop teaching my child horrible things.
I'd block it if I could but he plays on the pbs ap. Which overall is a great ap. Except for that

DS1 can work my iPhone better than me. He can find the YouTube app and sort of navigate it on his own.
Can I set up parental controls on YouTube? He sometimes finds cartoons I don't really want him watching. The humor is a bit... advanced for his age. So I want to be able to block certain things.

I see most of us are Pewter Regs now, some Copper... Next level is still Silver though! But those that said they were too far for Silver, you can go for Pewter or copper joi922 tmclawchick ars093s incir

YouTube has a kids app (YouTube Kids), I found this right after I found DS delving deep into the world of live surgery.

I was going to suggest this also. It's on ds1 tablet. I will warn you though. He watches weird (but appropriate) things. Like grown adults creating shows with toys or videos of little kids (or adults) opening toys and describing what's inside. The last one is kind of neat because sometimes DS1 will pretend he's on one of these shows and start describing them. "Today I'm going to show you batman. He black and has a black cap. And if you do this he jumps"
Oh god yes, Caillou is the WORST. Regarding Daniel Tiger, I really hate listening to the voices. Some sound just like Mr. Rogers with his puppets, which I find weird (though I'm sure it's intentional). But I REALLY hate that ballerina cat. Hi meow meow. Can I play with you meow meow? I'm sad meow meow. STOP MEOWING.
runningmommy519 , J loves those videos too! I have no idea what's so fascinating about watching other people open a box and play with a toy, but whatever. I also don't get the fascination with the surprise egg videos.
But mostly he wants to watch videos of garbage trucks.

I feel like I've been demoted somehow. I think because I'm so close in count to some of you, but now I'm copper while most others are pewter. Gotta get to 2500!
and to all you youtubers out there, a mom friend of mine told me a story about how her daughter would watch dora on youtube. then one day the daughter followed one dora link to another dora link to another and the next thing the mom knew it was dora porn. Be careful!!!

He was watching those for a while like Ryan's Toy Review or something. I thought it was a little odd but it kept him entertained and was appropriate.
