Yay anatomy scan! I hope it all goes well and LO cooperates.
I don't have much on the schedule today, a friend is coming over to work on vbs stuff for a bit this morning and I have book club this evening but that's all folks.
If H is lucky I will make pasta salad for lunches the rest of the week. If he is lucky
Also I am beginning to remember how frustrated I was trying to find maternity pants last time. Thankfully I don't need as much this time around, but I would like one pair of jeans and I trashed all from last time. Apparently pregnant women don't have long legs, 35" inseam is practically impossible to find. Oh and I need to go bra shopping too damn boobs why can't you fit into anything at Kohls, or Target or something.
aggiebug I also wear a 35" inseam and yes, it's tough! I remember getting a pair of decent jeans and some black skinny pants at Gap last time and they both offered long lengths. I think JCrew might in some of theirs, as well, although it's a very limited selection.
I have been on the hunt for white jeans and finally just accepted that I will be wearing white *ankle* jeans this pregnancy

I thought gap/ ON had 34s? Might have to look! The loft has some white... In, 32s ugh
aggiebug I have the opposite problem! I'm not short (5'5) but I am walking on ALL of my jeans.
AFM heading to Costco after breakfast, then having some friends over for supper. Gonna be a busy day, but it'll be nice.
It's a bummer either way! Although you can shorten easier than lengthening. I have visions of adding colorful frilly fabric to the end of pants to make them long enough ha.
Not much on our agenda today, just the grocery store and housework. My parents are out of town for the summer so we'll probably go over and check on their house here, as well. Exciting stuff.
dashook, Good luck at your A/S today! (I'm jealous, mine isn't til next Thursday so DH could come)
Sorry about the pant issues aggiebug and LizInFL ! I think I remember seeing tall maternity at Gap (online) but could be wrong.
I'm working on these total compensation statements for one of my clients and they take soooo long because I have to do them manually (no spreadsheet merge etc).
Later on we'll go to the house and continue spackling/sanding the trim. Hopefully we can start painting this weekend. Positions on painting while pregnant?
kleigh I agree with tgrimes1980 about the paint. You could look into low/no VOC paint (most manufacturers have a version) but I think paint in general has come a long way in terms of fumes. Just take breaks and keep the air circulating with fans, AC, etc.
FWIW, I have been working on painting the trim throughout our house (since before I got pregnant). I just have the main living spaces and our bathroom to do. DH just isn't careful enough (sorry, H) and I want it done before 2.0 arrives.

I'd say you'd found your next million dollar idea, but it seems someone has beaten you to it
Just got out of my 16 week appointment! All sounds good! 150bpm heartbeat... Now I'm getting a pedicure! dashook, hope your a/s goes well! aggiebug, what bra size do you wear? I'm a 36H but have to buy 38G so the only places I can shop are online!
cheshie6 I am somewhere between a 36DD which was what I wore first tri of last pregnancy and a 36H which is my bra from the end of last pregnancy. So I am guessing an F? I have a store in the area that fitted me at the end of last pregnancy and for nursing bras so I will hopefully visit them, get properly fitted and purchase one from them. I then get another online for cheaper because you and I know these bras are not cheap. Ugh.
Do you have a Nordstrom near by? They do fittings as well and have an excellent reputation in several circles for proper fittings.
Eta I am also probably a 34 band- I was before pregnancy, but those are even harder to find so I go up to give me options.
LizInFL my mom used to joke about doing that all through primary school, who would think that it's actually a thing now...
kleigh yeah most normal inseam are 32 and longs are 34 so still a little short, but I did see a pair on Gap said 34.5 this morning so I think I can make those work especially with a belly band and blousy tops!
danib, I usually do and have several in that size but right now, the 38G's are feeling the best so I'm sticking with them for now! LOL
It's quite common to go up a band size in pregnancy as your ribs expand so I am not surprised the 38 is more comfortable. And hey bonus easier to find bras right?

Cropped pants for lyfe. I almost always wear regular pants and roll them to make them ankle pants. I think it's cute with all types of shoes...and works great in winter with tall boots.
Gap does have long maternity pants though - I have their black work pants and some jeans.

Got my mole removed! Quite a few stitches from what i could feel and said I may have some bruising since they couldn't use the normal drug to prevent it since I'm pregnant. No exercise for at least a week, don't pick up my kid, and clean it twice a day.
I'm now on the couch with watermelon, cookies, and maybe should do some work. Things are looking up.
tallblonde Yes!!! I'm so glad that's over for you, hopefully that's it! Cookies sound awesome right now.
Also yes to ankle pants. I'm not really tall, not short either (5' 6") and always roll my regular pants into ankle pants. I've done this for years. It's prob not even cool anymore but it looks cute with everything from flip flops to heels to booties.
@dashook I saw your update on the anatomy scan in the weekly thread. Congrats on a great scan!
I have the opposite pants problem at 5'. I bought a few pair of maternity jeans on clearance that I need to take in. I definitely think that it is easier to be short than find long pants.
+1 buckyb for being short. I find that all pants, maternity or not, are super-long on me! My best bet is to find pants that are supposed to be "cropped" or "ankle length" for normal women and those usually the ones that are a presentable length for me.
Although, after reading through this thread, I have to wonder who is the "normal" person clothing is being made for.

I have the opposite problem as most of you in terms of bras. I was a small A cup before my first pregnancy then AA after I weaned DS. I would say I'm a full A cup/small B cup for the first time ever this pregnancy and it is so weird to actually have boobs lol. I'm 5'6 so the jeans thing isn't really an issue unless they are weirdly short. I thought for sure I would have issues breastfeeding because of my size but it somehow all worked out.
ETA: hooray for good appointments and scans today!!
I have my A/S Thursday and it can't come soon enough. My parents will be in town and I'm thinking of taking her. She is an uber excited person and would love it.
The next few days are going to be busy with them visiting. I have also been trying to follow the more active pregnancy board so I've been behind everywhere all week! I should just quit my job to keep up
hangry My mom was able to be there for DS's birth and she says that it is one of her most cherished memories/experiences. I think if you are open to having your mom at your A/S, she'd probably be thrilled
