Our daughter has no trouble going to sleep at night, it's the major MOTN wakeup around 2 a.m. that kills us. Up until then, she usually soothes herself back to sleep or we pop the pacifier back in and she conks out. But come around 2 a.m., we're pretty much guaranteed to be up for an hour, regardless of diaper change or a bottle. We did dip our toes into gradual CIO, but it just wound her up, so we're hesitant to go full bore into that, and I understand you need to Commit if you're going to do CIO.
I know some parents swear by those crib soothers you hang on the side of the crib, like this: www.amazon.com/Baby-Einstein-Sea-Dreams-Soother/dp/B006YBHE6M/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1465919079&sr=1-1&keywords=crib+soother Convincing H to try something at that price isn't going to go over well, so I'm also looking at the FP Seahorse: www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Soothe-Glow-Seahorse-Soother/dp/B00143UZCA/ref=sr_1_cc_1_a_it?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1465919421&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=seahorse+crib+soother (much cheaper at our local BBB and coupons!)
Anyone use a crib soother? Effective, not effective? What did you use?
We want to wean her off the night pacifier by age one, but we realize she needs a strong sleep cue and comfort in order for that to be successful. So I'm hoping this will be a two birds/one stone solution.
