Today starts my killer work stretch! I'm hoping to be able to leave the house early enough to get an iced tea to help me survive! 46 hours in 4 days!! In other news, the rocker and rug for the nursery came yesterday. Everything is coming together so nicely! This weekend we'll get the crib in there and it'll be almost like a real life nursery!!
ETA: hello, my name is annapunkalunka and I like to use too many exclamation marks... I'm not yelling, promise!
annapunkalunka, I also have a tendency to use too many exclamation marks!
Not much going on here. My friend SIL gave birth yesterday. She was only 2 days past her due date. Baby weighed 11lbs and measured 22.5 inches. The kicker, she gave birth without any medication... Our bodies can be truly amazing sometimes.
I have the fetal EKG in 4.5 hours, I'm not nervous yet but I want the morning to go fast so we can get it underway. I'm really hoping that everything looks good so we can finally be done with all the extra testing.
That's amazing 11 lbs and no meds! sodapop I love exclamation marks!!! annapunkalunka Thinking of you and hoping you get great news today merryrissmas Happy Birthday!! @snuff9861 I'm going to my SIL's house this morning so DS can play with his cousins and hopefully get tired enough for a nap. He didn't take one yesterday and that rarely happens. Later in cooking veggie lasagna for another SIL and her fam.
Our plans for today are just going to story time at the library this morning and getting DH's Father's Day gift completed. We're also hoping that our new niece gets to go home today. She was born last Saturday and is still in the hospital due to high bilirubin levels.

theophania - Did you end up calling to see if the dr office had any suggestions? Obviously you're already doing what you need to by taking a break when they start up, but I didn't know if they had any thoughts.

They just suggest water, rest, more breaks, change positions, etc.
So everything you're already doing.
I'd be afraid next step would be limited activity too so hopefully you can just keep up what you're doing and they don't get any worse.

Just for tracking purposes, I choose to weigh myself each week when I hit a new pregnancy week. I gained 3 lbs between last Wednesday and today... Isn't that a lot in one week? And it's not like I spent all week eating junk either!! Someone please tell me I'm not alone in this!!

sodapop omg! 11 lbs? Good luck @merryissmas Happy birthday @snuff9861. Put your feet up, it's your birthday after all.
LadyNymeria the later you get in pregnancy the more you gain each week, and if you are retaining water it will show more lbs on the scale. I personally am not weighing myself at home. I know I'll get discouraged if I do.
Today I'm hanging out lol. Yesterday was exhausting. We ended up going to the Observatory, and we had to park about a mile away and walk uphill to get there. So I'm trying to take it easy today.

I'm gaining like crazy but don't weigh weekly. I had an 8 pound gain in a month.
I think growth spurts like that are normal, I bet next week you won't gain much.

So many parts of me just clenched and/or flinched reading this.
H is driving me nuts. Every day he gives me this list of shit he needs done. Like, no, dude. I have work. I can't spent half my day making phone calls for you. Today he called to ask me to drive over to the UPS store before meeting him for lunch. The UPS store is on the other end of town from where we meet for lunch ... both the store and the deli are halfway across town from our house. Like, seriously?
Then I got there and the thing he wanted me to pick up, that he insisted would be there ... was actually not.
I'm going to tear my hair out.
On the plus side, the small adults-only pool in our HOA opens this weekend.

Probably a growth spurt! At my OB appt last week, I had gained 7 lbs last month, but nothing yet this week. IIRC I've had one big month in each pregnancy during late 2nd tri and then it evened out after that. Try not to worry about the numbers (easier said than done, I know!)
DS and I met my friend and her 2 boys for breakfast this morning. She's 13wks and due in December! Her youngest is 2 yrs older then my DS so I'm stoked we'll have a set closer in age. Then a maintenance guy came to install a new microwave. He mostly cleaned up but left a lot of wood dust on our stove so I'm kinda annoyed. But the microwave is so shiny and pretty! I'm hoping DH gets home from work at a decent time today so we can go to Souplantation for dinner. It's their last night of build your own strawberry shortcake!
Yay for a good EKG and being released merryrissmas !
Back from the pool...it's hot today! I wish I could have just floated in there for a while instead of chasing my LO around the wading pool. But it was fun.
Sounds like YH needs to realize the key word in "working from home" is still working pismoduo! Yay for the pool though!!
This has kind of always been our dynamic - my job hours are usually more flexible than his, so I do more of the daytime errands. It's more frustrating lately because there are more of them to do and he has this obsessive need to talk to like 15 different vendors before he makes a decision on stuff.

That would definitely make it frustrating! Hopefully after some time of you working from home you'll be able to find a good balance of what errands you can and can't take care of depending on your workload at the time.
