dashook, It's my first time in a BMB and what I remembered from TD, people wrote on both boards and stayed in the group that baby actually was born in. I could be remembering wrong, but that's why I asked!

I was craving something sweet so I got Twix from the vending machine. I started getting hungry again and my coworker walked by and offered me a Jimmy John's cookie. YES!!
I have a silly question about BMBs: I'm due late in November, so do I have switch groups if baby is born in December? I always wondered how that worked.
Nope. Not unless you want to. You can always participate in both boards, too.
Agreed. DS was due in November but arrived in December. I never went to the December board, my kid is just the young 'un in the bunch
There were a few ladies that hopped back and forth b/n N13 and D13 for similar reasons, I guess, and then when the D13 board fizzled out they joined ours full-time. SaveSave
We have M&Ms on hand at the moment, as that is DS's reward of choice for the potty training venture. I bought 2 large bags (they were BOGO at Publix) last Saturday. 6 days later, we are already part way into the 2nd bag.
Spoiler alert: DS only gets a couple M&Ms per potty. It is not him eating them all.
kleigh I think it's totally fine to specify a preference for the type of event (more casual, co-ed, etc.) if the host is amenable to that. I wouldn't worry too much about stuff like the invites, etc. You're sweet to worry, but IMO at the end of the day, if someone is judging the hostesses for less than Pinterest-worthy decor, then they're being rude and that's a poor reflection on them and not you or your family. Just my .02
cheshie6 nah we won't kick you out . I am in my Feb bmb but DD ended up being born in January. Funny enough I remember thinking that it wasn't likely going to be an 'issue' for me with a Feb 13th due date, oops!

aggiebug I still say le tired too. That was def the start of viral videos. I also fondly remember the singing fat guy video - that's pretty descriptive...but was big in 2005.

Our A/S went well. Baby is measuring on time. About the 40th percentile and they think he/she is about 11oz. They did see a tiny cyst in the brain, but the dr assured me it's pretty common, will go away, and almost certainly isn't something to worry about. He said he wouldn't spend even a second thinking about it. Yeah...ok. Everything else looks great, though, which points to a healthy baby. Very wiggly, but didn't get a great profile. Oh well. We did get a couple face pictures. Baby reminds me a bit of Lillian! But you know, they are siblings so makes sense. Lol.
Face pictures. It's oriented up and down on the right.
danib and starbuck27 and sophiegrace Don't know what your bad days were about, but I've been really down from the news lately. Between the Stanford rape case, the Orlando shootings and then that poor toddler in WDW, it's been challenging wanting to read the news each morning. Then I read about the democrat filibuster yesterday and I was proud. It was awesome to hear the lengths went to and the passion spoken with, on such an important topic.
This is probably a bit heavier than what you were referencing but I wanted to get it off my chest!
Also wanted to AW my little one! Had my A/S scan today and things looked good. US tech isn't able to give me details but showed us all the organs, let us hear the heartbeat, and got a few pictures. I also brought my mom with me and she was thrilled to see the little hands Baby is ~10oz, HR 143, and still team green so don't know the gender.

I'm due on the 27th. I'm planning on making N16 my home base but I lurk on D16 from time to time. It is really up to you!

We are offering M&Ms too and I think H and I have ate most of the bag. One for you, a handful for me.

Hi baby hangry!!! I can tell that N16 is going to have some cuties in a few months.
For me I feel like the news that's been happening in this country has been bad enough, for people to actually come out with hateful comments and memes that are nowhere close to being funny is just too much for me. More pictures of puppies and babies please.

Pro life tip: when lifting and putting your Dumbbells down on a bench, if they sound like they're starting to fall DO NOT freeze like a deer and close your eyes. Move. Out. Of. The. Way.

Two broken big toes. I win today.
Ouch!!! I'm sorry that happened to you. Do toes heal quickly?

Generally yes, thankfully. I wish I was graceful enough to say this has never happened to me, but I'm my worst enemy.
LizInFL I have them taped now because it feels better that way, but that's about all there is to do. I miss aleve!!!!

Ouch sophiegrace! Do you need to be seen? My mom broke her big toe and had to wear a boot!
@starbucks27 lol at fried chicken. We get takeout 3x a week at least lately. Never has fried chicken crossed my mind, nor would I know where to find it! (Ok my boss used to get it at whole foods, which seemed like an oxymoron)
sophiegrace, I totally agree! I blame our 24 hour "info-tainment" news cycle, depending on where you live and what stations you watch, or what websites you frequent, etc. the narrative is different which enflames the masses in different ways. I wouldn't be surprised (but it's speculation) that the narrative in the Gulf Coast region implied the parents were negligent because it's common knowledge down there that no matter how hard you try, alligators will find their way into a standing body of water. Whereas everywhere else, without this "common knowledge", we just think it's a horrific accident. It also doesn't help that different stories came out before verification so the narrative has changed several times which has caused people to believe misinformation. But instead of blaming poor reporting using opinions and politicizing, we are taking it out on each other (or the mother) which is just dividing this country more. It's the same with the shooting at the night club! We're all about the Muslim man who shot those people because terrorist, but we're not hearing as much about the Muslim man who saved a bunch of people! Why? Depends on the network and their political views/alliances. I doubt Fox News will mention that this marine was a Muslim because that ruins their stand on banning Muslims in this country. How can we call them all terrorists, scaring people if some are saving American lives? I feel like because the news networks are competing with each other for ratings/viewership, they aren't just reporting the news the are sensationalizing the news to match their views. What happened to "The facts ma'am, just the facts?" <end rant>

I have 2 red raised bumps near bikini line and they itch. Preliminary self-diagnosis is PUPPPS or shingles. Very glad I have a check up tomorrow. My body is self imploding.
cheshie6 I agree about the news. It's all so sensationalized and biased. I hate listening to the news or reading it. It's so depressing. And it seems most of the stories about good things or the heroes during tragedies get buried or ignored. Ugh.
hangry Cute baby! Glad to hear your A/S went well!
