I'm thankful for aloe vera gel because I got so sun burned yesterday. I already sleep terribly and now I've deep fried my back and chest.
All that aside I'm thankful for the family time we got yesterday. We're trying to spend more one on one time with DS before the baby gets here. It was DS's first time at a waterpark and he loved it!
I'll thankful to be able to afford taking DD to daycare one day a week this summer. And that today is the day. We'll both be happier after this little break.
Also thankful for my awesome H that is totally supportive of me during pregnancy, even when I turned down his advances last night. Sorry H, too sleepy. We're in line getting him Starbucks now...
I'm thankful that it's summer...I just love everything about the weather, the activities, the general mood. Everything seems better when it's warm out.
Also, thankful that we leave for vacation in a week and a few days. WOOT!
I'm thankful for my coworker who called me 5 minutes after an important meeting started this morning to remind me that the meeting was going on.
Also thankful for working at home, mostly because it made it so much easier to run to the bathroom to grab a handful of tissues when my nose randomly started bleeding in the middle of said important meeting.

I have family coming to town today! My sister and her kids moved to NY last year, and also last year my brother and his wife and kids moved to AZ (I'm in CA). My brothers SIL is getting married this weekend so they are coming to town for the weekend. I'm so excited! I just wish my sister and her kids were coming out, but I'll take what I can get.

We are in a 100° heat wave all this week and into next, so I'm thankful for air conditioning. I know that sounds so spoiled but it makes my life so much better right now!
Super thankful that baby's EKG was good yesterday and we can look forward to a presumably healthy baby.

I'm thankful that DS stayed asleep in his bed until 6:30 this morning. I'm also thankful that my mom agreed to watch DS at our place on Thursdays again. The extra day of work really makes my bank account a lot happier.

@merryissmas we're heading into a heatwave. I think today will still be under 100, but tomorrow will start the 100 days. Uuuugggghhh. I'll be hanging out at my mom's. Her home is much cooler and she has a pool.
Y'all, this kid is measuring 2 weeks ahead!!! He was only a week ahead at my appointment 3 weeks ago. My next appointment is in 3 weeks and they said if I haven't evened out by then we will be doing an ultrasound to see how big he really is!

I should've married a smaller man lol
lol This baby measured 3 weeks ahead at my last appointment. My doctor wasn't concerned at all. I'm interested to see if things have evened out by my appointment next week.
merryrissmas , hooray for a clear EKG! cbrandt1 , ugh, that wedding does not sound fun. Do you like him? Or is this one of those situations you just roll your eyes and smile?
Today I need to step back and be thankful for all the non-issue issues I have in my life. I'm having a down in the dumps day because I want to be home more with my babies. However, I have a stable job that allows me to provide for my family and I actually kick ass at it.
ETA: my glucose testing is at 10 tomorrow. I know we've discussed this before, but does anyone have any meal/snack ideas that will get me through the morning without sabotaging my test?

f14mama - I had toast with peanut butter at about 8:30-9, drank the drink just after 10am, and had my blood drawn an hour later. My breakfast has zero impact on my test results. My dr's recommendation was to avoid anything too sugary, including fruit or juice in the morning. I mentioned toast with peanut butter, plain oatmeal, or Cheerios and she said any of those were fine as long as I didn't add sugar or sliced fruit, etc.

I ate 3 scrambled eggs - plain before my test last time. My doc said basically eat something really protein rich and avoid carbs / sugar.SaveSave
I went with scrambled eggs with cheese in them. Toast and natural peanut butter with no sugar. Passed with flying colors if I were to quote the doctor.
6'3"... Not abnormally large, but he was a 10lb baby. I'm 5'9" and was 8.6 when I was born. We were all shocked when DS came out at 7.2. But 2 weeks ahead is a lot!

Meh he's nice! They've been together as long as DH and I, 6 years. There are other issues I have with him than his age. Like the pics he likes on Facebook of Coco Austin and similar women and that he smokes weed and she suddenly started smoking cigarettes when they got together. Other than that, they love each other and he makes her happy so whatever! It's also her 5th wedding so I'm not holding my breath...
f14mama, I had my GD test today and they just told me to have nothing 2 hours prior to my appointment. So I had special K red berries for breakfast and then half a cup of coffee before I hit my time. You'll be fine! I would take some crackers for after though because I was feeling with nothing but sugar water in my system by the time I was able to get lunch at 1:30...

Dude. Mommy brain and pregnancy brain is a mofo. I locked my car keys in my house when I was leaving for my ob appt today! Luckily my mom has a spare so I took DS for a walk while I waited for her bf to bring it over. Also, my ob was able to see me late and I didn't have to reschedule. They're actually running behind today and I'm still waiting but whatever.
I'm thankful that I made it to the Drs in time for my 2 hour glucose tolerance test this morning. I'm thankful that in around an hour I'll be able to finally eat after having to fast since last night. I'm super super thankful that DH will be home tonight after 2 weeks away and will be home to spend some time with DD and I. And I'm thankful that the BH have eased totally up today and I'm feeling fine.

I'm thankful for Cocoa Puffs. They've made my chaotic day a bit better. I'm also thankful that we got a propane delivery today since we RAN OUT. I'm a grumpy bear without my hot shower. I'm thankful for the fact that it's almost time to start switching over C's daycare. She's not happy where she's going currently and we've been having to bribe her to go. I feel all the mom guilt for sending her somewhere she isn't happy.
