So I went to brunch today and was the first one there with my BFF whose 27weeks pregnant and she went to the bathroom. I tried three times to flag our waiter down ASAP and FINALLY got him. Took him like five minutes to understand I wanted just OJ in a champagne glass and as I was explaining she came back and sat down so I stopped talking and the guy was like. So NO alcohol JUST OJ in the glass? And I was like ugh!!!!!!!!! And she looks at me and gasps and was like omgggggg and I was like uhhhhhh and then she started crying (bc, hormones) cuz she knew we were talking about trying... So she found out! I feel a little bad bc DH didn't want to tell ANYONE for a good while, but I felt stuck and like, blanked on using my meds as an excuse with her. Oh well! It's kinda nice to have someone to talk to about it, and she's my BFF and pregnant too, so it's kinda nice.
Then I came home and napped so hard, haha. Now we're gonna grill some steaks and lounge the rest of the night!
Is anyone else having a problem with diarrhea? I'll feel nauseous first but it's my intestines not my stomach. Sorry for the over sharing.
I have been, too. But I have IBS, so I wasn't sure if it was a flare up or pregnancy. But literally since I found out a week and a half ago my stomach has been a hot mess.
Same. Cannot. Stop. Pooping. And it's always an emergency. Super fun symptom.
I told DH about the prrgnancy and the poor man is terrified lol. I told him it's OK, it took me a few days to get my head around it and I'm still not always feeling like dancing around the room about it. Mostly nervous myself.
I told my dad and first thing he says is "Really!! Oh wow!!!...... So S got one past the goalie then?" Yes dad...yes he did.
Monday I tell my mom and sister. Still waiting to 12 weeks to really fill in my oldest so she's not walking around telling the world.

I get to tell H in like 2 hours! Yaaaaay! Now I'm starting to worry about his reaction. I hope he's excited. I mean, he knew we were trying... Lol.
We're leaving today for our mini vacation, after we eat lunch at the in-laws. We just ate lunch there last week. Sigh. But at least I don't have to cook!
Am I the only one who hasn't told my extended family either? I don't want to tell anyone until maybe July. My dads getting married and I won't be able to tell him until he's back from their honeymoon. I might tell my grandma before that. I'm waiting for a few weeks to tell my mom. She's a blabber, so I have to be ready to tell everyone when I tell her.
Well, my reveal to DH happened today instead of waiting till tomorrow morning. We are going to some beer gardens tonight and I didn't want to have to dodge suspicion from him as to why I wasnt enjoying a beer. I had bought a book and did the "D A D" pictures with DS a la Pinterest and wrote out in the card "looking forward to a crazy February 2017 - I'm pregnant!" He teared up at the pic of DS, read him the book, read the card and said thank you... I asked him if he actually read the card. He sheepishly re reads it and starts to cry. I burst out laughing - maybe I should have kept the test to leave on the counter after all! The man is not great with details (or reading) apparently
I feel your pain I'm 0-2 now with DH reading my card announcement correctly the first time.

We are telling my husbands dad and sister today too. Nothing crazy- just put the ultrasound pic in his Father's Day card. It was his sisters birthday yesterday too, so we're having a little cookout.

we haven't told anyone either, except my BFF found out by accident yesterday at brunch. But we want to wait till after the first (maybe second) ultrasound. And I want to tell my parents together, but my mom is going to be visiting my sister and her sisters from 6/22 til 8/18! I thought she was coming home end of July and figured ok, I'll be like 8-10 weeks, I'll tell them then, but now I basically have to wait til I'm 12+ weeks if I want them to be together! I haven't decided if I should just tell them separately. My MIL on the other hand is the biggest blabbermouth ever. She told everyone when we were getting engaged (it was a surprise to me), and told everyone about my BIL/SIL's first pregnancy right away but "don't tell the, I told you!!!" So we won't be telling her any time soon.

We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel so we were working on that yesterday. A good friend of ours built the cabinet and helped my husband move the attic access yesterday. It was a long day and we missed our nap. My husband and daughter went to bed at 6 last night and didn't get back up. He worked all night the night before and didn't get to sleep yesterday. We've got lots of painting to do before we install our new dishwasher. Any advice for paint colors for the cabinets?
We are recovering from our Friday over night to the in laws. We had a good time celebrating FIL birthday and swimming Sat morning. Then we got together with some friends for semi hard core lawn games. We sent all of our kids to one house with sitters and played games for 4 hrs. Fun but I'm no spring chicken anymore.
We're not planning on telling anyone until we have to. I just don't want to deal with "was it planned?" Questions since DD is only six months. I may tell my friends before family but we'll see. definitely waiting till August at the earliest. If I don't look huge I'll wait till later if possible.

H was surprised by my announcement. It was rather a low-key surprised, but he had just woken up. He had no idea that I was pregnant. He said "oh, cool! Well, that was quick! We should never have unplanned unprotected sex. We are too fertile." Lol.
We are now on our way to vacation. DS had 45 minutes of naps until we left at 3:30, so I'm hoping he'll sleep for much of the 3 hour drive. I'm just hoping to stay awake. We were up way too late packing last night. We're listening to lord of the rings on audiobook to help us. And we stopped at McDonald's to get coffee for H - I got 2 hash browns. I'm failing at this "eating better" thing so far...

I told my parents today! There were a few tears and a lot of excitement. It was nice. We wouldn't have said anything this early but we're making some housing and work decisions based off the pregnancy which wouldn't make sense otherwise. It was easier to tell than to make up a lot of excuses.
It went very well!! Everyone was super excited. I bought a shirt from Target for my son to wear that said "Promoted to BIG Brother" and we waited until they noticed. Their reactions were priceless!!
I'm glad yours went well too!!! It's such a weight that's lifted when you can say something!!
I'm estranged from my father based on his actions. Long story short he cheated on my mom, continously gave her false hope to save their marriage, and is still with the woman he cheated with. Sent him a text wishing him a Happy Father's Day first thing this morning and haven't heard from him. I should be used to this by now but it still hurts. He'll probably not hear about this baby until after the baby is born.

puma1315, I feel you. I'm estranged from both my parents and they won't be hearing about this baby from me, at any point. My father did exactly zero to recognize DS, and my mother put in the entire effort of writing a $25 check when he was born.
