I have some questions that I think are c-section specific so thought others may have the same. Jump in with your own questions.
How long til your milk came in? Today was day 6 and I'm maybe starting to feel full. But the baby doesn't seem satisfied yet. Though maybe that's just the life of a 6 day old baby?
Anyone else's feet huge? Like mine are way bigger than the end of pregnancy.
Favorite nursing positions? She hasn't loved the football hold, and after a full night of side lying my back hurt. I managed today to use the boppy with some success and only occasional pain.
Was told I could drive when I stopped taking the Rx pain medication. That was about a week later. I didn't end up driving until about 2 weeks after though. Was told not to take a bath for 6 weeks but swimming wasn't mentioned.

My milk came in day 4 I think... I definitely didn't feel super full until a couple days after that though.
My feet were HUGE for about 10 days. The best thing for it was moving my ankles A LOT when I was sitting or laying down. Try writing the alphabet with your feet.
Nursing - any position with enough pillows. One under LO's torso, one under the fewer, one or two behind me back.
I didn't get any rules this time about driving, swimming, bathing... But I was told 3 weeks last time for lifting and driving.
My milk came in on day 3....but I never got engorged, just a little more full. This guy does a good job draining me.
I was told I could drive if I felt comfortable slamming on the breaks (my nurse suggested I test this in the driveway). Most restrictions were 6 weeks, but it's kind of impossible. I've already picked up DD a lot, but it's not causing pain so I'm also following my body's cues.
Cross cradle with a nursing pillow. This LO hates football hold.

I didn't have a section but just wanted to say I didn't really ever feel engorged with milk. My baby cluster fed every 1-2 hours for the first 3 weeks so I was always drained even though I know I was producing. It wasn't until the past few days when he goes for about 4 hours once overnight that I've felt any engorgement.
Another question. I put on real underwear for the first time today vs the big mesh hospital things. But all of mine are bikini cut and land right on my incision. Any tricks? Do I just need to go buy granny panties?

I had my mom bring me a pack of super high waisted granny panties. Honestly- a lifesaver!!!!
Anyone else's feet huge? I ballooned up from swelling after. It was very uncomfortable; almost to the point where I felt my skin was going to rip.
Favorite nursing positions? The breast friend was a life saver. It sat waaaay above my incision- he kicked it before I realized it sat higher than my waist. I almost died.
We do the football, across my body & side laying (only do this for my first feed of the morning)
When could you drive? Swim? Pick up an older kid? I drove about a week and a half out when I was completely off my meds.
She said I could swim when the bleeding stopped- it was three weeks for me.
Was able to pick up my nephew about 2 weeks after.

Granny panties dude. Even now, almost 5 weeks out the area is weirdly numb. My bikini/boy cuts sit right on it and it's annoying. Not painful just weirdly uncomfortable.
Oh! Also, I put a pad over my incision for the first week or so. It helped cushion it; you may want to do this. It could also help if you are totes against the sexy granny underwear.

Yea the doc told me it could be numb for up to a year! Crazy. Ok off to granny land tomorrow.

I started wearing granny panties at the end of my pregnancy and I'm still wearing them. They look awful but they are super comfy. I used to exclusively wear bikini cut underwear, but I haven't dared to even try on a pair in months. Most are a size small, which my butt definitely is no longer!
How long did it take people to stop bleeding and for your stomach to not feel like a big bruise?
My older DD was really upset today and came running to me and I instinctively picked her up. She's light for her age but still 30 lbs. I also lifted the car seat to the stroller twice today. And tonight I'm bleeding again. That happened this weekend after a busy day too. I'm 3 weeks out.

With my first C I bled for about 6 weeks.... And while I'm not actively bleeding, after a busy weekend I started having this nasty brown clot bleeding. Sorry for the tmi.
And honestly, my incision is just starting to feel less bruised and im 4 weeks out tomorrow. The recovery is no joke!!! Take care of yourself.... Continue to take it easy!
I am six weeks out and my scar is still a little sore. Every day a bit better. I got cleared today. But yesterday I still had some spotting after doing too much.
