DH took the day off so he could take DD1 to ballet & watch her He has a meeting he has to attend at 1:30 but at least he's home this morning! And we are taking DD1 to see Finding Dory this evening at a theater that serves food and drink, very excited!
DD2 seems fine from her fall off the bed! Slept from 7:30-2 then until 6 then up for the day at 7! She has a bruise but I've seen way worse goose eggs on DD1.

We need to take Maddux to the vet today to get his annual shots. He is so psychotic at the vet ughhhh they recommended me give him some benadryl before coming next time lol. Everyone at that vet must be giving their animals something or I guess just well trained because my dog is the only one wanting to run around and play with everything he sees. So much for the hours of training DH did with him when he was a puppy on obedience.

Omg something funny that happened this morning....So last night when I was getting Callie ready for bed, I gave her a toy to distract her while I putting her in her PJ's and her sleep sack. Well I guess while I was zipping up her sleep sack she must have dropped the toy inside it while I zipped it up and I didn't even notice lol.
So this morning when I went to go get her out of her crib, I could hear the beads in the little shaker moving around and I was like WTF??? She slept with this shaker in her sleep sack all night hahaha. I don't know how she didn't wake up from this.
I got to work an hour early since H had to take my car to work today while his in getting fixed. Really hoping the mechanic my friend recommended can save us some money.
It took everything in me to get out of bed this morning. I'm tired and I know that I'm not going to get too much relaxation the next few weekends as my cousin will be arriving Sat to visit for 2 weeks. Luckily she stays with my parents, but I know that most of my weekends will be doing family things.
Yesterday I wasn't feeling great and probably had a little stomach bug, or are something that didn't sit well. I didn't want to ruin the day for H so I powered through. Would have been nice to relax all day. But I'm glad we went and Zach got to go in the ILs pool for the first time.
It's like my body knows that vacation is over, woke up exhausted this morning. Back to reality today, gotta clean up the house, buy groceries, and go to C's 9 month appointment. I know the pedi is going to comment on the fact that he's not babbling yet. Oh well!
I'm just not feeling it today .. I'm really tired for some reason and I just don't feel like doing much . Both girls are watching Daniel tiger . #lazymom
cowplanet My DH has already selected all of the cars Dani will be getting. He plans on putting parking spaces in a part of our garage, and Dani is unable to get a second or third car until she learns how to park the first one. Not even kidding.
After a day by the pool & lots of fun, the kids were up early. 5:30 Val started crying followed by DS. The good part is Val went back to sleep with nursing, so H took DS downstairs. H got really sunburned yesterday. I did get him with sunscreen but it may have been too late, at least the kids are fine. He wanted to stay up late after watching GoT, but I put my foot down we got a lot of sun & going to bed earlier is better.
Hot & sunny again today. I'm trying to clean up from yesterday so we can hang by the pool again today. I joked with H that we have already used the pool more this year than last year & it's only been open for a week lol.
We really had a great day yesterday relaxing by the pool with family. I really think it got to H and I how much fun we have as a family. The kids love going out to the pool & everyone was happy.
Our oldest woke up with what I suspect is pink eye. H is taking her to the pedi now to get her some eye drops. I'm hoping to get some laundry done before my nausea gets too bad today. Then I'll spend the day looking at ways to sleep train MOTN specifically. Hopefully H and I agree on a way and we'll all be sleeping soundly in a few days.
I did not think if pumping when I put on a dress today. There is no way to get around it, I have to take the whole thing off to pump. Oh well. It's stupid hot today for us (mid 90s). I don't know how you southerners do it. Thankfully it will be back in the 70s tomorrow.
I'm taking C to the chiropractor this morning. She's been crawling unevenly (one knee down, opposite foot down instead of both knees down) for a few weeks. And now that she's starting to walk with assistance, I'm noticing some weakness in her left side. So off to the chiro we go!
My totally unsolicited two cents, but if the problem persists you might want to see a pediatric orthopedic specialist. They will be able to offer tremendous insight into the bone structure and joints. We are being followed by one until A is five after being treated for hip dysplasia and they have so much knowledge on developing limbs and motion.

Last time we went for the shots, my dog kept barking at the dogs screen saver of my vet.
cowplanet and txshep, I desperately wanted a powerwheels when I was a kid, but not until I was older (maybe 7 or 8?) and it was the bigger FAO Shwartz version that cost like 2k.
Off to a good start today, Cal and I took the pugs to the park now he's having some breakfast before his first nap.
I'm totally not feeling it today. No specific reason why, but my motivation level is absolute crap.
Has anyone started feeding the baby foods where it's chunky, or has pasta and stuff in it? I bought some for Dani and the Gerber "mac and cheese" is now her everything in life. To me it just tastes like carrots, a mild cheese flavor, and cous cous, but she adores it. She pretty much attacks the spoon, complete with growling noises and chomping.
Hot and humid day today that we'll spend in the pool. I already cleaned the kitchen. SO does the dishes and thinks that automatically it makes it clean but was so messy!!
FIL girlfriend found a megabucks wagon full of block at a yard sale. I need to scrub that thing because A wants to play with it so much.
Other plans are to meal plan, laundry, work in the garden and chill.

We've been giving chunky food to A for months now and pasta is pretty much is favourite thing.

We have given A macaroni noodles, or chopped up rotini noodles, with cheese and peas several times. Not unlike her little Texan friend, they make her life complete.

Dani was weird with the chunky/puree combo for a while. She would eat table food, and she would eat purées... but combined? It was a major gag-fest. It was bizarre.

Callie loves the mac n cheese one! She attacks her spoon whenever we give that to her. We have been doing the chunkier foods now for a little over a month since her teeth have come in. She seems to like it more than the purees.

Hmm, should I show MH this post or not?
And I'm ridiculously excited. My mechanic is now doing free car pickup!!!! This makes life so much easier. I'm stupidly excited. I've stated my excitement twice with different adjectives, that's how wonderful this is. Also, I'm very tempted to do my grocery shopping online and elect for curbside pickup, which means going to the more expensive grocery store, but I'll eat better and life will be more awesome.
Except my bank account has the sads. H's is in happy land. We need to adjust our household burden ratio, because it does not make sense why my checking is 1/5 of what it once was. DC is a huge hit to it, but it shouldn't be this much. I did the math and my to-go breakfasts are not the sole reason.
Miss G woke up screaming last night because she got both of her legs stuck between crib slats. I found her laying on her stomach with her legs dangling off the edge of the crib. Related to her screaming, Master R woke up and started crying just after I got Miss G on my lap and calmed down with a bottle. MH came and helped. Sometimes it *really* helps to have two parents with twins.

I'm also not feeling it today. We had such a perfect weekend and I hate being back to the grind. We went to my dads mountain house and hung at the lake beach all day yesterday. A was awesome and went all the up to her neck in the water. Compared to the hysterical scream fest that was swim lessons last summer, this was a fantastic development. We are going back up this Sunday!
I also was in pictures standing in a bathing suit, with no make up and actually like the pics!
My train line began a 12 week repair project today and the last four stations are closed. It made my commute 30 minutes longer and I got the last parking spot at the station, so I'm trying to find an alternate one. Parking in the city is atrocious and costs $300-$400 per month.

M was like that for a few weeks. But the past month she's been loving all sorts of flavors and textures. Pasta with meat sauce is a current fave. Also mum mums and peanut butter or sunflower butter are her everything, but so messy! I think it's something that they just get one day out of the blue. (Or hate as evidence by my toddler who is subsiding on white carbs only these days).

What about 2 sets of twins
I had MH help more early on as a morale boost, but after Thanksgiving last year he couldn't do much since he was gone or post-knee replacement surgery. I think this is only the second or third time since then I've gotten MH up to help when I'm on solo nighttime duty.
Twins aren't too bad to handle solo for the first few months because they can't get away and they're small enough that I can hold both of them. By the time the second set comes (if we're having two), the first set will be 17 months, so I'm hoping they'll be old enough to stop getting stuck in the crib slats. Alternately, they'll be old enough that if both want cuddle time they can both crawl onto my lap. Actually, I'm looking forward to that :-)
Both babies usually sleep well and through the night, but Miss G recently learned how to pull herself to standing and that's all she wants to do. Baby keeps getting up in the morning with bags under her eyes. As with every stage, it will pass.

We're not doing the jarred foods but he is eating whatever we are now in addition to purées. He still likes the purées but digs his big people food. Last night he ate shredded chicken, shredded cheese, black beans, and chopped olives with some guacamole (we were eating homemade chicken m, cheese, and bean enchiladas).
ETA: he likes spaghetti with red sauce but was Luke warm about Mac n cheese - weirdo. The thing he gets truly giddy about is watermelon. Nothing trumps watermelon. Although broccoli is a close second.
