I have to wean D by next week and I have every feeling. I'm supposed to be staying calm but this sucks. He refuses bottles, nurses to sleep and has little interest in food. My life is going to be hell.
Massive headache that won't go away so I'm spending the afternoon nap on the couch watching TV.
I'm starting to feel very anxious about daycare and it's stupid.
Don't feel anxious!!! I did too but he loves it there - loves the DCP and the other kids. So much so that we're going to take him there 2 days a week in July. I think he's bored with just MH and I.
I *know* all these things but I've just been overwhelmed with a "omg he's only known me for almost a year and these strangers won't know his cues and stuff".
That is incredibly stupid because he's a very chill baby who can be with whomever without a problem and I had an awesome feeling when we visited his daycare.

Why do you have to wean by next week?
My doctor is running tests on me and needs me to start a medication that isn't safe for him. She strongly believes I'm having really small seizures.
I feel ridiculous but I'm incredibly heartbroken at the moment and clueless how I'm supposed to just stop.
London empathy love tits. MH didn't get it until we had our second. And at that point I was like he is pretty much your responsibility when it comes to bath, bed, motn wakeups, etc. Before that he was fine to let me do everything and whined when I asked for help. I had a meltdown while pregnant and he finally got it. Then started doing everything for the big and realized how much I was doing.
I really think he just never understood just HOW much work raising a child is.
This was us too, although it wasn't until I was pg with G (#4) before he really really stepped up with the littles. He's always been involved with the kids when they got older but baby/toddler was 90% me.
In today's edition of "My kid keeps trying to kill himself" - I caught a millisecond before he put in his mouth a big chard of glass he found under the fridge. I don't even remember breaking something since we've lived here
Beta #2 today was 2379, so almost the exact same doubling time as with the twins (just a bit higher).
Progesterone was a bit lower than they like, so I get 1.8mL instead of 1.5mL from here on out. That's better than the 2mL the RE had me on last time. It makes me a little nervous that he's increasing it by only 0.3mL when the progesterone level is the same as the last time when he increased it by 0.5mL.
I have one more beta in a week, but that's mostly to check that my progesterone is high enough.
My 15yo hurt his hand Fri and didn't tell me until just before he left for his step moms for the weekend. I asked her to keep an eye on it but he came home Sunday night and it was a mess. MH took him to emerg yesterday and of course it's broken :/ his dominant hand, 2 days before finals start :/
Apparently he fell fist first into the wall during indoor soccer in gym.
Uh huh, sure you did. Even the nurse said it's called a boxer's fracture cuz people usually get it from punching things.
What a dumbass. Well that'll learn him, now he has to spend the summer in a cast.

I went to look for an Amazon credit (even though I don't buy things) and apparently you can request someone send you an allowance on Amazon. Like a legit email that says "please help me shop. Send me $x on this schedule" WTF?

minionkeeper, I am so sorry - sounds like you have a rough challenge ahead. Do you have friends you can borrow bottles from to try them out? This is not what you need on top of everything else. ((hugs))

I just facetimed with my parents so I totally have to AW; today they are going out to celebrate their anniversary which was yesterday. They've been married 46 years and together for 52.

Crazy!!!
That's adorable. And kind of crazy to me because my mom is only 53.

This is so exciting! I feel like I've totally missed your story though...are you hoping for twins? You already have them, yes?

I caught my kid trying to eat his nail clippers I accidentally left on his high chair. Ugh. DNW you to clip your tongue off.

DD almost ate batman Lego man today. I had to fish his mask out of her mouth. DS was sooooooooo different. Never put anything in his mouth!

We were just saying them same about our kids! A never put random things in her mouth. M loves to taste everything her little hand touches. We can't trust her alone at all! A Is the pickiest eater ever and, so far, M eats whatever we put on her tray. I wonder if there's a correlation there?

Congratulations to your parents! My parents were married on this date 46 years ago (1970). They only met three years earlier, though.
