I just got home. BBQ was underwhelming... It was not buffet as I had hoped. Did not satisfy my hunger. I am going to make myself feel better with some ruffles and take a nap on the couch.

If today could suck less, that's be great. We've slammed at work and I ache all over after not sleeping well. Pretty sure I have a giant bruise in the middle of my back from sleeping with DS.
LovesMeSomeCake, we had a baby monitor first but when it broke we got one that was meant for "home security." It was cheaper and had more features, including zoom/tilt and 2-way talk.
I'm just busting in with an AW. Just had my first appt and we got to hear a heart beat! Considering I'm only 8w4d, I'm thrilled. Feeling much more real now, even though I likely wont see the baby at all until anatomy scan. Thanks, tilted (forward) uterus!
jrun2013, I get tapatalk notifications, but I have noticed that their app has been sucking lately. It freezes up on me all the time.
Also, I fell asleep at my desk today. Legit could not keep my eyes open. I remember this bone deep exhaustion from last time I was pregnant. I seriously need a good nap around 2:30 every day.
So far today I've eaten Dill Pickle Pringles and Fruity Trix cereal (I don't think that's the actual name but it's the fruity version not the plain version) and I'm most likely going to have a bowl of Lucky Charms later. Apparently pregnancy turns me into a child and I'm not even sorry about it.

LovesMeSomeCake I've heard that the wifi connect ones are easy to hack and in fact, I'm pretty certain that it actually happened to one of the moms from my other board (summergirl1211 didn't nese's get hacked and some creep was talking through the monitor or is this my pregnancy brain playing tricks on me???)
I assume if you lock dock down the wifi with s good password or security then that fear is irrelevant though.

danielle1220 I have heard that too, a little scary if you ask me.
I have a cheapie summer infant because my dh was against a video monitor to begin with so I had to find a good deal. Do I wish it had better features and a bigger screen, yes, but it gets the job done.

I'm living on cereal lately, because I'd rather stick my hand in a bag than cook. Last week was Cheerios, this week is Life.

Yes our network is secure, and I have to think people have better things to do than watch a stranger's nursery. We have a security system and alert dogs, I'm not worried about anyone getting in. (or at least I wasn't )

They just wheeled in leftover cake, the size of a manhole cover. I got SUPER EXCITED, bc well, I lovesmesomecake. turns out the reason so much is leftover, it is marble cake with tart cherry filling and whipped cream... the usual and favorite around here is strawberries with buttercream. There are so many uneaten pieces in the trash it is a cake tragedy.
+1 for living on cereal! I started with frosted mini wheats, moved on to cinnamon toast crunch, and now it's fruity pebbles. When I don't feel well I eat like my 5-year-old self.

OMG that is literally my favorite kind of cake. Shame on all those cake-wasters!

Uh... YUMMY! I would eat the shit out of that cake in a heartbeat!
All I ate for dinner my last pregnancy was grape nuts. I'm well on my way to the same this time around. Come dinner I do not want any part of meat or other real food.
Speaking of cereal, I recently discovered these oreos. AMAZING

yeah, the real food to me lately is just...meh...and it is making my husband crazy, because he does not like cereal. Opposites attract.
They've been sitting in my freezer for a week but I'm finally able to report back that the Outshine pineapple popsicles have lived up to the hype. Thanks for the flavor recommendation! Raspberry is still my favorite. Has anyone tried the mango ones? I think they might be next on my list. heybulldog56peaseblossom55opheliainwadersLovesMeSomeCake and anyone else I'm forgetting.
heybulldog56 yum to the bbq! Who were the Upstate/Western NYers, silvermelody and meeggaannww ? Any Dinosaur BBQ fans? I could totally go for some now. Instead our local taco joint has $2 Taco Tuesdays which will have to suffice. It's hot as balls here so now way am I cooking tonight.
Dinosaur is on our bucket list for the next NY trip! Is it as good as it looks??
YES! Dinosaur is great, we usually wind up there at least once every time I visit. I love their ribs and also their pulled pork. Sadly I moved to California before it really became popular, so I'm not as familiar with it as most NYers.
Pretty much all food is making me want to barf right now so we might not go there this time.

I fell asleep during a training session that was right after lunch. I knew I was nodding off and was trying to stop but I couldn't help it. The first tri sleepies got me! I was mortified. Thankfully the session was a refresher for me and not new or difficult information.

I never tried the mango, the raspberry is good too. There isn't one I don't like really!

lakegirl thus far I have been sticking to lime. I don't eat pineapples/ pineapple flavored things in general bevause I cannot stand the smell (weird, I know). I will have to expand my horizons and try mango and/or flavors other than lime.
Add me to the all food sucks and I need naps group. I came home early yesterday and today and passed out for a solid 2 hrs.
I called today to set up my intake appt at my MW and to my surprise they asked if I could come in at 1. Since I'm only 7+5 the MW said it wasn't likely we would hear a HB yet, but she tried anyhow, no dice. They don't have an US machine there, but she wrote me a slip to go get one so I'll go next tues. everything else she said seems pretty good and par for the course.
I finally went to the grocery store... Shopping while hungry and with only a partial list was interesting. lol
But I'm SUPER DUPER excited about what I found. Breyer ice cream was on sale and my favorite summer treat was there! Creamsicle!!!!! For those who have never had this bit of deliciousness it is orange sherbet mixed with vanilla ice cream. Very light and refreshing and I'm proud of myself for not starting dinner with dessert tonight.
