vivela, re. diaper changes. Before bedtime and anytime he may have to go a little longer between changes, I use A&D or something similar to prevent diaper rash. No issues yet!
I'm catching up after a few days! We've been busy prepping for my ILs to visit and for G's birthday party this weekend. He also had his allergy testing yesterday and everything came back negative so we still have no idea what caused his reaction last week. Good news that he doesn't have any common allergies but so frustrating to not know wtf caused it!
Can we talk about gas? C is so freaking gassy and I can't figure out how to prevent it. Between gas and hiccups he seems to always be crying lately and it's making me a little crazy. Any ideas or anyone else in the same boat?
Now onto the fourth outfit. She has never been spit uppy. She is acting like she is uncomfortable as well. Everytime we burp she pukes. She acts hungry so I nurse her then gross happens. Any ideas?
We have a big spitter too. I have no advice because DS didn't do this but I'm curious to see what others say. She drenches both of us after almost every meal.
Mine likes the eat, spit up, eat again, spit up again cycle... I try to keep him propped up for awhile after every meal which seems to help a little. But really nothing stops it.

DS was like that, we started using Gerber soothe probiotic drops and it made a huge difference.
Oh txmommy14 how heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for your friend.
DD is a champion spit-uper. She loves to projectile right down my shirt between my boobs - lovely. I try to keep her propped up for a while but sometimes it will come out of nowhere long after she ate! She basically lives in bibs and I have strategically placed burp cloths on my body. I have found that burping her sitting up with her chin resting on my hands to be a bit more helpful. At least then I can control a bit more where it lands.
Our fridge isn't working right Luckily it's under warranty, but repair guy can't come til next week.
I have over 80 oz of milk frozen. DH is not sympathetic to my plight.
Thank god we live close to my parents and can use their freezer.
We just bought a small deep freezer to place in the basement for this reason. Our freezer was acting up last week and I have a lot of milk stored inside. DH figured out the problem, but I was really stressed for a little while. Also our regular freezer isn't very large so we needed extra freezer space in general.
I was supposed to be induced yesterday but labor and delivery was too busy so I was pushed back till today. I'm at the hospital now waiting to start the induction. Fingers crossed this goes well. Baby surprise and I might share a birthday!

soultrane... We've been struggling with not being able to get burps out of C. We've been using hyland's organic gas drops with some effect.... I've been trying to like prop him forward to get burps out, but kind of laying him on his tummy across my two arms and swinging has been somewhat helpful too.

Yesterday was the most emotional day for us. The baby and family is doing great so I'm super thankful for that! My mom is staying with us and called from our house yesterday afternoon to let us know our dog was sick. After watching the video she sent, my mom rushed to the hospital while DH rushed home to take her to the vet. She passed as soon as he got to the vet. She was old and got a twisted stomach/ab and there's really nothing that could have been done. I feel like she was holding out until the baby came to make sure everything was okay. I'm just glad it was quick. DS is handling it so well and is comforted that she's in heaven watching over us now. But it was such a crazy high and low emotionally that we were totally spent last night.

Not that I wish this on anyone else, but I'm glad DS isn't the only one... I worry he spits up more than normal but the pedi says if he is gaining weight, and not distressed, he's fine. Still freaks me out when he is spitting up everywhere long after he's eaten!
titania I had spit up streaming between my boobs today too.
My LO has become quite the spitter upper in the last couple of days. It's not right away after eating, she waits until it's nice and curdled. DD1 spit up a lot too, but it was right away and made me think she just over ate. This is a bit different.
txmommy14 I'm so sorry about your friend and her loss, that is heartbreaking.
sandandsea I'm so sorry for your loss and the difficult timing. It is never easy to lose a pet, i hope your DS continues to handle it well and you all find comfort in your new addition.
