My boss just told me I should buy a van we're selling for all the kids I'm going to have to help repopulate the district (I work for a school). It took me a moment to remember that he doesn't know I'm pregnant.
I read this four times trying to figure out if he was being a jerk or not.

I'm hoping y'all have a joking relationship or this comment is way off base!
missi I don't have any symptoms yet either besides a little cramping. Last time nausea kicked in around 5.5 weeks, so I figure I have another week free.

+1, this is how my last pregnancy was as well. It was just mild cramps and then BAM, the nausea hit me like a train at 6 weeks :/
My first appointment for this kid is officially scheduled for July 15th!! It feels forever away lol, but I am so excited (and nervous!! Trying to suppress the nervous part...)

The food aversions are awful also DH ate my ice cream. I texted him asking what he possibly could be thinking eating a pregnant woman's ice cream?? It will be replaced on his way home. #comeonpal #thisaintyourfirstrodeo

Oh no he didn't! This is a really important question... what kind of ice cream?

So.. being one of the ones late on this bus.. I'm scared to say that I'm not dealing with a queasy stomach.. yet. I would LOVE it if that stayed that way.. maybe it would mean I'm having a boy
Past that.. got sunburnt on the beach yesterday.. even though none of the girls did. What is up with that?
Were you wearing sunglasses?? Wicked random but I was reading something not too long ago, I'll try to find it, saying that your eyes communicate with your brain when it's really sunny out. This helps trigger your body to produce melanin which is what makes you tan (aka, protect you from the sun). When you're wearing sunglasses, your brain doesn't get the message as much that you need to tan... so you end up burning! I've always wanted to test it out haha.
I was! I have the transition lenses in my glasses.. but it was mostly cloudy. My daughters also have the transition lenses.. so.. umm.. no dice? One of them even burns REALLY easily as she has her dad's fair skin. So weird. Can pregnancy hormones allow us to burn more easily?

1. I was fine until 6week and now I am in hell. 2. I was nauseated the entire time with DS. I threw up every day, right up until about 2 seconds before he was delivered.
But I do hope your nausea stays away. It is no fun.
.. so I have maybe a week of being able to eat what I want.. got it! ~runs off for pizza and burgers~ lol I had all day sickness through the first trimester with all of the girls. I ended up on anti-nausea meds with the twins because I couldn't keep anything down! >< I would SO love for boy hormones to leave me with a happy non-sick pregnancy. (In fact, the way I found out I was pregnant with the twins is I went to the doctor for a "flu" I couldn't kick o.O)

I have mine for a day before yours. I don't wanna wait!
shellbell and wildflower810 he was joking however his jokes are sometimes inappropriate. I just hope he remembers this (that he wanted me to have more kids to populate the district) in about 8 weeks when I tell him.

ImAPepper I have heard it's pretty sad. I wanted to go see it too, but considering I just bawled my eyes out watching The Good Dinosaur....I think I'll pass. What is wrong with me
flyinghorses6 I've been wanting to see that too but having a toddler means she leaves and I end up watching alone or I chase her around the house and miss the whole movie. I guess you could always catch it on DVD/streaming. At least one coworker is willing to go with me so I'm not sitting there alone bawling my eyes out. So there's that.

This was me with my DS.... didn't get sick until later in the first trimester and was sick until he was born. I worked in a restaurant as the main line chef, at about 20 weeks I had to quit. I kept running out of the backdoor to vomit in the alley behind the kitchen. And EVERYTHING set me off. From perfume to toothpaste, coffee and beer, to all the ingredients we had in the stores. Save

Lol to people trying to eat better because they're pregnant. That's awesome and fantastic and I wish I were you. Now I'll go shovel ice cream into my queasy belly.
Yeah. This. I ate a box of Timbits (doughnut holes for you non-Canadians) on the drive home from my parents. In secret so I wouldn't have to share with DD1. I feel no shame.
DD2 is still in "grandma's house mode" and is refusing to fall asleep right now. I probably only have about 20 mins to get her to sleep before I have to poop again given how this damn symptom has been going. And you know, all the doughnuts.
Completely NBR question for you guys. Has anyone seen Me Before You? I was thinking of seeing it this weekend. Is it as horribly sad as I expect?
The book kind of annoyed me little bit. I still want to see it but I hope the character developments - personalities are a bit better. I went up and down a lot, because I can see what the author was trying to do, but I think she really played on 'I have a disability now, my life is over' sentiment. Save

I have off today (Public Holiday) and the house to myself and I'm supposed to be cleaning... Instead I'm sitting here, catching up on Game of Thrones and Outlander.
I have most of tomorrow off to, so I can clean then, right? It'll just mean chasing a three year old at the same time.

My sister just finished reading the book and then saw the movie when it opened. She said the movie was somewhat disappointing. (That's not really a huge surprise I guess.) and that neither one thrilled her as much as she'd hoped.

Yes! My midwife told me that you are more prone to burning while pregnant. Just remembered it now that you made me think about it. Lots o' sunblock she advised.

I hate crying too obviously in movies, feels pretty embarrassing, but I was sobbing in to my sleeves during this one. But I thought it was really really good! I was trying to hold it all in so badly that at one pt dh said something funny to me and I lost my shit, so instead I was cracking up and couldn't stop. It took several minutes for me to get under control lol. Not ideal during a dramatic silent scene

Ditto to this! I read the book, haven't seen the movie. But I still can't tell if I loved the book or not. I did cry and the book kept my attention well, but I could see this not translating to a movie well. I will prob wait until I can rent it.
