Charlotte slept in her bed from 7-6:30 with 2 MOTN wake ups at 10 and 2:38. I fed her both time and she downed 4oz so now we'll work on weaning the 2:30 feed. When I put her back down after the 10pm feed she cried for 8 minutes before falling back to sleep. About 4 min at the 2:38 feed. I'm so excited!! Last night went sooo much better than I thought.

There's an exhilarating feeling when sleep training starts to work ! !
I totally forgot that tomorrow is Quebec National day and it's a big freaking deal around here. So much that it's a 2 day event starting today. My city does it today while the city across the river from us is tomorrow - so 2 days of fireworks and young people drunk in the streets.

emejay, Exactly what kbeazly said lol. Drink the coffee!
Speaking of coffee...I need some this morning lol. My sisters came over last night and had dinner. I decided since they left around 9:30 that I might as well stay up until DH got home from work. Now I'm regretting it since I'm dragging this morning.
Tonight I'm going out to dinner with some moms from my neighborhood and then we are going to see "Me Before You". I really haven't heard anything about this movie so I have no idea if it's even something I'm going to like lol.

I just read the book and saw the movie. Very good! The two actors are just perfect and it's a very different "love" story than anything I've ever seen. I cried.
emejay I hope there are several techs doing the blood draws!
I didn't get to Randoms at all yesterday so I don't know what I've missed.
My parents were supposed to visit this weekend but my mom's hip is spasming and causing her horrible pain (she's getting a hip replacement on July 6). She can only sleep upright in a very particular chair and can't sit in an airplane seat. So my parents called last night to say they had to cancel the trip. I know this is super sad for them because they haven't seen Ellis in a few months and now she's crawling and pulling to a stand and just a different baby. At least we will see them in August for my beother's wedding.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.

Oh goodness, I'll probably cry then. I do love those kinds of movies though. I'm glad to hear you liked it!
Today is my first day back to work since Owen has been sick. (Tl;dr version of my Facebook post: diarrhea and vomiting since Friday, ER on Tuesday because lethargic, tested positive for c diff and norovirus, my hospital sucks and discharged us) I was able to successfully give his MOTN dose of medicine without waking him last night. My mom is watching him today and tomorrow at our house. She said he woke up with no diarrhea, a very wet diaper, and he's acting okay. That's such a relief to hear! Evidently two nasty stomach bugs aren't enough for my poor little man to deal with because his 4 top middle teeth all cut through the gums yesterday! Owen now has some new nicknames: The Plague and Patient Zero. My mom and her boy friend babysat on Friday and were both sick by Saturday afternoon. We went swimming at MIL pool Saturday before we knew how sick he was, so MIL got sick on Monday. I was sick by Sunday. Once I was sick we called and warned MIL, but she had BIL and his family over and she went to visit her sister who has been in and out of the hospital with health problems, despite our warning. So all of them are now sick too. H is the only one who hasn't gotten sick yet.
Also someone from the hospital called yesterday afternoon to check on Owen and follow up from our er visit and see if we were satisfied. Let's just say that lady got an earful. I brought him in because I had trouble waking him and he was lethargic. They took his vitals and then said he was fine it's probably teething and tried to send us home. I had to throw a fit to get them to give him an IV and run some tests. The doctor made me feel like I was asking them to unnecessarily torture my baby. After the second round of fluids they discharged us anyway despite my protests. Not all of his tests were back and he wasn't acting much better than when I brought him in. I left the hospital crying because they wouldn't help us. They weren't even full, so it's not like they needed the room. I'm still livid. I hope someone higher up at the hospital contacts me because I hope something gets done about this. It's terrifying to think that the place you are supposed to be able to take your baby in an emergency won't help you. Sorry for the two long posts in a row.
lilylove31, ugh, I'm sorry you and LO are going through that. It comes down to the insurance companies dictating from afar. When I was 6 and recovering from bladder surgery, the hospital discharged me early because insurance didn't want to pay. Mom had first refused when the hospital called, stating "the doc said she needed X many days to recover, so that's what we're doing." So the hospital turned around and called my dad, who only has partial custody (divorced), who was 4 hours away. He didn't want to pay if insurance wouldn't cover it, so said yes - and didn't tell my mother. I was in so much pain and couldn't pee, so mom basically kept calling the nurses station and let me scream into the phone, over and over, until I was finally readmitted later that night.
lilylove31, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. So happy that Owen seems on the mend. I'm hopeful that the hospital escalates your complaint because that treatment was inexcusable IMO.
DS got up before 5 and started his usual crap. I got up and sent him to back to bed, then he started to cry. I very firmly told him waking up early isn't acceptable anymore. We need to sleep & he has to stop waking up his sister. I had just bought him new Thomas the train pj's and I said if you can't stay in bed and be quiet till we come and get you I'll take the pj's back to the store. It only works since he is obsessed with Thomas. He wouldn't go to his bed so he came in my room. I told him no playing, you come in lay down and try to sleep that's it or you go back to your bed. It worked he was quiet till Val woke up around 6:45.
H had to get ready for work at that point so we all got up. H left for work & forgot his paint guns! You can't paint cars without those, so he had to come back home & brought us breakfast sandwiches!
No plans today maybe a haircut for DS. Val is Houdining out of her diaper so gotta catch her before I have a surprise on my floor!
lilylove31, I'm glad Owen is feeling better and had no diarrhea! Hopefully you are nearing the end. That sucks that so many family members got sick. Cdiff is crazy contagious. My mom Had it once and for every hospital visit after that, for the rest of her life (4 years), we had to wear cover/gowns and masks, as did all the staff/nurses/doctors. My dad never got it, despite being her full time caregiver.
H and I talked last night. Pretty meh on the results. One of those 'I'm sorry you feel that way' non-apologies.
On the bright side, A's sleep continues to improve bit by bit. She had two wake ups where we needed to rock her or bottle her, but all the other disturbances were self-soothed. Yay!
Our HVAC maintenance appointment had a 4-7 p.m. window. At 6:45, they call to say they'll still make the appointment, they just don't know when yet. Um, no. Baby has just been put to bed and this company, which we've been loyal to, is kind of on propation anyway. H got on the phone and exaggerated our situation and past woes. He's gonna talk to someone on high today and get us off the maintenance plan and refunded for what we've paid and have not yet received in service this year. I asked him to please just stick to the facts, there's no need to make crap up.
We stayed up until 3 am finishing OITNB. The season was the most depressing yet. But still hilarious, very crazy show. Baby let me sleep till 8 which is a miracle. Currently Lego video game is babysitting DS and DD is playing with toys.
Have to go to the dentist today for me and DS cleaning and I'm getting my cap redone that got messed up when I was away. Then this evening in going for a dress fitting for my bridesmaid dress at Alfred Angelo. Then hoping she wants to go for dinner. Would be nice to go somewhere without kids.

It's going to be a fun day. Thunder woke all of us up at 6. I tried to bring Elle into bed (which usually buys me another hour) but she was hungry and chatty.
After our morning solids battle, she was playing, put something in her mouth, and gagged on it. I swept her mouth and she puked on me. Awesome.
And our buyer wants $1000 credit on top of the work we agreed to do after our inspection report (it was all super minor crap and a few ridiculous items). Fuck that noise.
My babe took 2 unassisted steps by herself yesterday . It literally happened so fast I didn't even get it on video . She was cruising around the ottoman, let go and took 2 steps to the couch ... I'm terrified to see what comes next ,this child is so fast and wants to be into everything !
ugotstarbucked, our buyers tried something like that, plus a $400 home warranty. We agreed to the warranty ... and then in the end they didn't take the warranty. Whatever, $400 less out of our pocket. They did throw a huge fit that MH secured the one loose shingle on the roof himself instead of paying a company to come do it, and that the homebuilder came out to fix the slightly loose deck rail and didn't charge us for it, so we didn't have a monetized invoice, just a statement that the work was done. Builder also shampooed our carpets, we just paid for machine rental and showed that receipt. Apparently that didn't count. They threw a fit two days before closing and threatened to walk supposedly, but we called that bluff, because their house was also closing. We DID pay for a company to re-shampoo, but we weren't going to re-do all the other work.
People can get so silly and weird when it comes to home buying.
