Had a bit of a scare today. What I was thinking was contractions every ten minutes turned out to be muscle spasms and they have settled down significantly. I was really freaked out. My husband was working two hours away I have no family or friends near by our new house to leave DS with. I guess it's time to hire I back up babysitter because I do not want to go through this morning again without help. DH came home from work today early though just incase things got worse. It's nice having him home early and I've been in bed since he's been home!

Sorry for the scare olive! Glad to hear they ended up not being contractions! Definitely take it easy for a bit and hopefully that doesn't happen again.
Glad all is ok olive. I took DS to a splash pad today with his friend. They ended up playing for 20 mins and then making their own adventures lol. DS put baby girl's crib together today so that feels good. I still have so much organizing to do.
The nesting urge is hitting me hardcore. I'm usually not this organized
Same here! I'm feeling very productive on the baby front. I already pulled out all the newborn girl clothes and washed our newborn diapers (we use cloth). I only have 8.5 weeks left until I'm induced! Eek!

flyakite oh he's super bummed. It's the big 13, but I'm trying to make it up to him. We rescheduled for next week, but I don't have all contact info for 2 of his friends, so they may show
But, we're planning on going to the drive in movies tomorrow night. He's well enough to do stuff, I just worry about being around people and them catching it. So the drive in is good cuz he'll be confined to the car lol.

beckyrosen sorry the kiddo is sick and bummed about his party hopefully the rescheduled party is a blast.
Also, I probably wouldn't have much done except for the fact that we had to make a trip back to MN to get the stuff we had in storage. I still haven't figured out how to fit it all into my house.

beckyrosen, sorry you had to reschedule, poor him.
We technically have everything we need to have a baby in our house like tomorrow (except for diapers) but nothing is ready. We need to do DS room, but my H is dragging. Sometimes I think it would be more efficient if he just let me do it and make the decisions.

olive, I hope you're feeling better now. It sounds like you had a stressful day.
I've been on hold with baby stuff until the carpet for the nursery gets installed (Tuesday!!). After that, everything is getting sorted and put away. I've been decluttering the house and making a nice, big yard sale pile in the basement so I'm excited to continue straightening things up. I never nested this much with DD's pregnancy.
Are there any other Team Green moms out there? What is your plan for the coming home outfit?

hurricanerek my parents are having a yard sale next week and I'm jumping in on it. I have an old bedframe and chair I need to get rid of, and beyond that I have a single bag of clothes... I really need to start going through things. Especially since we have a tiny 2 bedroom apartment and come September there will be 5 of us living in it.

beckyrosen, Parenting has been doing these declutter challenges that I've been following along with. The first was the linen closet and medicine cabinets. I got rid of so much stuff; it's amazing how much collects in those two places.

Lol, the medicine cabinet needs cleaned out bad. My OB put me on iron supplements, but it took a few days to get them (Original prescription was gunna cost over $100, revised one cost 2 bucks lol) so I got a bottle of iron pills from the medicine cabinet. Uhh, they expired 2 years ago. I need to see what else has expired.
Well reading these posts has motivated be to pull the bassinet (Bed Nest) out of storage and wash the linen for it. We're pretty much ready for little boy to arrive now. I will pack my hospital bag in the next few week I guess! DD arrived at 35 weeks and I had literally just packed my bag two days before and it was one less thing to stress about so I'm definitely in the better-to-be-organised camp!
I have a pack n play and some clothes. My mom had some more clothes and my MIL has some stuff like bottle warmer and wipe warmer that her friends bought us that she'll be bringing to us in August. I'm challenged by the fact that I literally have nowhere to store anything that isn't small or doesn't fold up small until the end of July.
I probably won't pack a hospital bag till I'm in labor.
Haha in theory I totally agree with this plan, but in practice my water broke and I went into hard active labour right away without any warning last time (no noticeable lead-up contractions) so for me it definitely paid to plan ahead as I definitely wouldn't have been able to think about packing at that point.

My labors have been so long that I should have plenty of time. Like, at least a day to pack. I may put some things together before that, buuut, I procrastinate.

Sounds like what happened with me for my DS, I plan on packing that bag in the next month to be ready. DS came just after 37 weeks so I want the bag packed by 34 just in case. One less thing to worry about.
OMG I'm in love with the UPPAbaby strollers!!!! Definitely getting the Cruz!! Woohoo! One decision down!!
Yesssss they are amazing! I wish I'd had the money for a new UPPAbaby stroller, but the used one I picked up a while ago is fantastic! It's an older Vista, and my only complaints are about its age. One of the wheels squeaks and the latch that holds it closed when it's folded is kind of worn out. I love the bassinet attachment though, and the second seat so I can use it as a double if needed. Or, you know, not if ZombieBoy can start walking without darting into the street or lagging behind.

I loved the Vista too, and we would like a second at some point, but I'm having a hard time with the idea of spending that much more to have to deal with a heavier stroller when we're not sure when we'd even start trying for #2.
The guy at the store suggested getting the Cruz and just making sure we took good care of it so we could try to sell it to help pay for a Vista when the time came.
