Baby girl born a little after 6 AM 6/25/16 weighing 6 pounds! I'll post her name and pictures in the private board.
Birth story: My water broke around 3 PM. I heard a pop, but never had a huge gush of water. Instead I slowly leaked throughout the day. I waited until my contractions were around 5 min apart and getting more intense to head to the hospital. We got to the hospital around 9 PM and they confirmed my water had broken and I was 5 cm dilated. I continued to progress well throughout the night and was complete around 3 AM. I couldn't start pushing then though because there weren't enough baby nurses for how crowded labor and delivery was. I ended up having to wait until around 5:30 AM to start pushing. She was born a little after 6AM and weighed 6 pounds. I have a second degree tear, but not too much pain yet. She's doing well now, but had to be worked on for about 30 minutes after she was born because of some breathing and heart rate issues. Eventually we were able to do skin to skin and breastfeed. We're so in love!

Congratulations! I cant imagine being asked to wait that long to push. Glad they got everything under control with your baby girl for you to do skin to skin. What a great way to start the weekend.
Yay labor buddy!!!! So many congratulations!!! I'm so glad baby girl is doing well now, but I can't believe how long you had to wait to push! Sending you so much love! Enjoy your newborn snuggles! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks guys! Yeah it wasn't the most fun being told to wait to push. I had a very strong epidural this time (probably a little too strong), so the feeling to push wasn't ever really too overwhelming for me. Otherwise it would have been pretty tough.
