notagoddess - to qualify for FMLA you need to have worked something like 1000 or 1250 hours at your job. Idk if you would have that amount done by the time February rolls around. Not sure what short term or other maternity leave options you have. I know on of my friends looked to get a new job while pregnant and quickly gave up when every place told her straight up she wouldn't have the hours to qualify for FMLA and in our hospitals you only get two weeks maternity leave after working there for six months, so she was like I'm done looking!
I wouldn't qualify for FMLA for sure. I'm searching for a position at a college, and they tend to have OK-ish leave policies. At one of the places I would be eligible for 8 weeks after working 3 months. For the other one, the policy is not listed. But I feel strongly about taking 12 weeks leave, and I don't mind it being unpaid. I will bring it up when/if I get an offer to see if they can work something out. If they are angry about it, well then it's not the place for me right now.

oldbaylover1024 what a nightmare. I am so sorry you had to deal with all that at once.
CoffeeOnIce I have made so many meals that as soon as I sit down to eat I instantly cannot even take a bite. I feel like between me, DH, and a picky 1 year old there's 5-7 meals being a cooked just for dinner.

On a happy note: I am off tonight and cannot wait to watch GoT on my couch after DD goes to bed. I am so beat after three nights in a row.
I had another tough night at work last night--taking care of preemie twins that are constantly drifting and struggling breathing is stressful enough without the constant fear I'm not going to make it to the bathroom to puke. I'm sick all night every night I work. Can't take unisom and B6 because I'm already wayyyy to exhausted. I really am taking advantage of tonight off before I go back in tomorrow night joyous.

Oh also...found out for the bachelorette party this weekend the house rented has two beds---for 12 people. So people need to bring air mattresses and what not. I'm not trying to be a high maintenance brat--but I have a feeling a late night drive home will be happening. I'm not going to toss and turn all night on an air mattress with some other grown ass woman. Nope. Not happening.

Or be that gal that brings a kick-ass air mattress for yourself. No. Sharing. Especially with drunk women. Sorry not sorry.

Note-this is not a spoiler. But holy cats game of thrones was amazing last night! Hope you're caught up and mean you are watching the finale. Enjoy your night off and rest up

Ahh gotcha! Well that's good that you have those options. Hopefully this other place has an amazing policy, too! So amazing they don't like to advertise it haha

Oh hell to the no. I wouldn't even do that not pregnant. Nope nope nope

That sounds miserable! At this age, there should be enough beds for people to sleep in. Maybe you can twist it into doing a favor for the group by leaving and not taking up space.
Will there even be enough room for that many air mattresses?

I asked that same question.... apparently yes there is. I said to the girl that that plan sounded miserable and she got all defensive. Sorry not sorry. If you want a weekend long bachelorette for your bride then at least make it worth it. The plan overall sucks--I mean it's 4th of July weekend. Every American has plans that weekend. This will be the first time in 10 years I'm missing my in laws party. It's just weird. Whatever---not about me. Going for my pal. Going tour that winery and love every sober minute.
Happy Monday! Low key day for us today, managed to buy some decently priced frames for a picture wall I'm working on for our bedroom and spent some time outside. It's so hot here this week. DS took a tumble off of some couch cushions and must have bit his lip or tongue because his mouth was bleeding after I picked him up I felt so bad. It eventually stopped and he was back to normal, but it reminded me how hard it will be to see him hurt himself as he gets bigger and explores more. I want to keep him in a bubble lol
Feeling like I don't know what to eat either. Surviving on watermelon and water doesn't sound very feasible. I'm making pasta for dinner and I'm dreading it. I miss liking food!
I had a little bit of brown spotting just now when I went to the bathroom. Like a really small amount when I wiped and that was it. But I'm still bent up about it. Any one else have any spotting? I didn't have any with DD so this is new.

Just nauseous, again. Or I guess "still" is the more appropriate descriptor? I never had morning sickness with my 2 girls, so this is all day every day thing is BS.
Called the doctor today for my bloodwork appointment on July 4th. I was able to trace back to May 11th being the last time I told my sister my week late scare was just a scare. So I had probably just started then which bring the time line to a little more narrow of a window but I probably will just let the Dr determine my EDD at my 12wk US.
pivot I had the same thing with my son, a day of super light spotting and no other issues. Hoping it was nothing for you!
I cried my eyes out making supper tonight. I spilt boiling hot spaghetti sauce all over my hand, stove, floor, walls. Thank god DS was in his high chair when it happened, instead of climbing my legs like he usually does. Feeling like I already can't keep up and baby #2 isn't even here yet. DH took the child to his parents house so that I could have some alone time. I have to remember that I'm pregnant and hormones be cray. Tomorrow is a new day!
... I think I overdid it exercising Hopefully the one gush of red blood will be it. Egads.. I had spotting with my two oldest, but after a terrible last pregnancy, now I"m terrified.

Hugs mama.
Thank you. I'm still kinda upset.. but for more selfish reasons now >< I worked to finally get my muscle back.. to lose the weight from the twins. My doctor said to take it easy, not live over 20 lbs.. etc. I know it is important, and I'll behave.. but I am so ready for a normal pregnancy!
Sorry to everyone else I didn't response to yesterday. I read some when I had a moment, but it was crazy!
