Damnit! Even after I read about all these allergy concerns, I fed F puréed lo mein chicken tonight. I was so excited that he downed real people food that I forgot it has soy in it, which he hasn't had. He ate it at 630 and it's almost 8 and he just went down. Should I check on him every so often? If its anaphylactic it should happen within the first hour right?
Soy lechtin is in a ton of foods, including most puffs. I'd be surprised if he hasn't had soy already, unless you were purposefully avoiding it. Soy allergies are very rare (.4 %).
In my experience, A's anaphalactic reactions begin within minutes.
I'm sure he's fine!
Thank you thank you thank you. I'll be able to sleep much better. And that's true, soy is in so much. I guess it was the first overtly soy dish but he seems fine. Thanks!
