I acted like I was a delicate flower this morning to avoid triggering morning sickness and it seems to have helped. After reading all the tips I proceeded to caaaaarefully sit up in bed and take some sips of water. Then I floated downstairs, sat down and snacked on some white bread. Then at work I made a cup of tea with ginger and mint. I feel a bit better than usual, which feels like a huge success
In case anybody's interested.
ETA it also has vitamin B6, feels lucky I had this on hand

Thanks for the tips CoffeeOnIce Has anyone else had a stuffy nose? I am mouth breathing today and can't tell if it's a cold or just another annoying symptom.
I love that tea! I didn't even think about it for morning sickness. I hope it keeps working for you!
I'm already tired of this week. My parents are hosting all the grandkids this week, and have things planned every day. Yesterday was the beach, today is the air zoo, tomorrow is an arcade type place, Thursday is more beach time, and Friday is the normal animal zoo. I anticipate many excuses made as to why I don't feel well or energetic, since we're not telling anyone about this pregnancy until much later if possible. Right now, I'm just hoping to make it through without collapsing.

So since DD1 has finished school we've been super lax with our schedule, leading to a disgusting amount of television ALL DAY. We had fun this morning making a schedule for ourselves that doesn't have to be strictly followed if we make other plans, but just easy for her to follow on our days at home so she can stop begging for TV and I can get my own butt in gear. Also helpful when DD2 is having a cranky baby day, and she still has some guidance of what to do with herself since she's not a super independent kid.
CoffeeOnIce, you're going to need to start shipping donuts to everyone with that avatar of yours!
I'm cheating on donuts today. Somebody brought in some fancy boutique cupcakes today. This is the least fancy but I'm just waiting to feel hungry so I can eat it! Ok this is my second one for the day....
I woke up to bright red bleeding this morning, but I just had my 6 week scan and there is a baby in there with an adorable heartbeat! I've never seen anything so adorable!!!!
(No real reason for the bleeding - they think my cervix might be irritated from the estradiol suppositories.)

I'm so tired today. DD has been sleeping awful with multiple wake ups. I had planned to shower then nap when she took her morning nap. She took such a crap nap, I think I maybe napped for 10 minutes. Hoping the afternoon nap goes better!
I am melting! It is so hot here today, we just got home from a long walk with friends and DS is napping. I'm hoping to do the same soon. I find it so hard to shut off in the middle of the day and actually fall asleep, even though I'm so exhausted! I used to nap so well I also used to sleep so well, but now I wake up at 530 every morning to pee and then fall asleep for like, 10 minutes and then DS is up for the day. I need to break this cycle, it is killing me!
Currently laying in bed with a fan on full blast. Tomorrow I'm hosting a play date and will be able to tell my 2 close girlfriends about the pregnancy. I still keep forgetting that I'm pregnant so hopefully the more people who know will help make it feel real.
It was such a rainy, blah day here today. We went to go see Finding Dory with some friends. I was expecting a normal theater and instead it was all fancy with full recliners instead of seats. It just about made up for the fact that my pants were soaked up to the knees from walking through the parking lot.
I am officially unemployed as of today. So I'm job hunting.
But DH has been offered a promotion, with better hours (more time at home, not away for weeks at a time!) and all the perks (company vehicle...). However we'd have to move south to an even smaller town that really is a shithole.
I wouldn't be able to work until DS starts school there because I'd have no family to use as Childcare.
Trigger warning: They don't have great reviews on their hospital maternity program including some cases of medical malpractice resulting in stillbirth. So I would definitely drive elsewhere to deliver, even if they've upped their service.

F*ck these headaches. I've never had headaches before as a pregnancy symptom and it sucks. I'm used to having hormonal migraines when the hormones plummet just premenstrual, and these feel close to as bad. It freaks me out. It makes me worry that something is wrong and the progesterone is dropping indicating miscarriage.
Someone with a rational brain tell me this is normal, please?

I'm curled up in the fetal position trying not to cry. This nausea is beyond me. It's worse mentally for me now that I went through 40 weeks of it with DS. I just can't.
The heart wrenching thing is that my "morning" sickness issues have made us go from thinking a big family, to H voicing the desire for this to be our last baby. I don't know if I can wrap my head around that. So I lay here, sick, wondering.
