If you have some leftover baby bulge this might be better than straight crunches, I've been trying to do these workouts because I read crunches are worse if you have diastasis recti.
Is this what everyone is doing for leg lifts? That's what I think of when I hear leg lifts but it threw me off because it didn't specify 25 "each side", it made me wonder if there is a different move I'm forgetting about, or like a hip bridge or something.
I like to work out alone but sometimes my 9 year old DD joins me. She is a twig and the last person who needs to be burning extra calories but she's fun and we have a good time. I used to do classes when I was younger but I always felt uncoordinated and awkward so they didn't last long.
I do it alone. I have only taken a class in college for credit. Do you just join a class anytime at the gym?
Basically. I would plan my time at the gym based on classes I wanted to take. They had a bunch available from yoga, boot camp, strength training, stuff like that. Spin was the only one you had to sign up for in advance because of the limited number of bikes.
Done! Woo- those kinds of leg lifts are much more difficult than the kind I did yesterday! Haha
Ideally I like taking a class, I'm very competitive and push myself to be the best/fastest/etc the most in that setting. Since I don't have a gym membership anymore I like to at least have a friend, but most days it's solo.
I skipped yesterday and did both today. No rest day.
I don't like push ups. My wrists hurt now. What can I do about it? I think it is a hormone thing because I had to stop when pregnant.
I had wrist surgery years ago and I remember when I started easing back into exercising planks would kill my wrists so I did them with closed fists instead so my wrists stayed straight instead of being pressed at a 90 degree angle. Not sure if it works as well with push-ups, but you could try.
QOTD: That I laugh until I cry. I laugh/giggle often and DH always picks on me and I usually snap back that "at least I enjoy life" because I've never heard him more than lightly giggle at something while he listens to his podcasts.
