Z was up at 5:30 and did not fall back asleep. Due to this, he's already on nap one. Gonna be a fun day for H (he's home with him on Fridays in the summer).

DH is working tonight and will be gone for most of the day golfing which means I have to pack for the weekend for all of us by myself. We are going to Columbus tomorrow for DH's Grandma's 90th birthday. This side of his family is Chinese and they go all out for their 90th birthdays lol...and I would assume most people would have some sort of celebration since that's a pretty significant birthday. Anyways....she requested peaches. So I'm bringing her peaches and this will be Callie's first time staying in a hotel so I'm expecting zero sleep.
Monday I'm running my annual 10k for the Peachtree Road race. I did this last year 30 weeks pregnant so I fully expect my time to at least be better than that lol. Fingers crossed.
H made me breakfast again while I had Loungy McLoungerson on my lap with her sippy cup. Usually A is a whirlwind in the morning, but she slept in and did not want to get up when I came for her. Tomorrow? Tomorrow she'll probably be up at 5 a.m. ready to party. H is now getting up earlier in the mornings to help out, instead of sleeping as long as he possibly can (or I dump a baby on his head).
Or maybe not. Now that it's the holiday weekend, there will be no restraint when it comes to fireworks. A got used to the diehard weeknight shooters, but I have a feeling the next four nights are going to be a different story. Sigh.
I started an evening grad program last night. Got home at 11pm, took awhile for my brain to turn off, so was asleep around midnight. Was up with the baby at 3, and then the toddler woke up at 445. Toddler is still awake now at 6am and it's time to get ready for daycare.

southernpeach89, I remember you running it last year! It'll be fun to see what your time is now!
caitost21, are you going to try out the Dockatot today for Mr. P's naps? GL!!! Is he still crying when you put him down?
Yesterday DH and I bought Jacob's big boy car seat - a Graco Extend2Fit. It was on sale at Target for 170, then Cartwheel offered 15% off and then I had the Target card for 5% off. Getting around $55+ off was awesome! I am debating buying another one.
crystaleyes138 yes I am! I'm kind of nervous to try it because when I took it out and tried to get him to sit in it to get him familiar with it, he freaked out! Maybe he senses its sleepy powers haha
I hope that's it! Sending sleeping vibes to you and Mr. P.
We are going to My H's aunts house tomorrow for the night. Somebody's cousin (not related to my H) wanted a ride (it's a three hour drive and we would have to go 30-45 minutes out of our way to get them). I feel like a bitch because I really don't want to give them a ride because I have to pump during the car ride. I don't know this person. Am I being rude?
H is on his first day of vacation! He slept on the couch for some reason last night, I'm not complaining I love having the whole bed to myself! I made breakfast for everyone & I'm making my food shopping list. I want to go today so I don't have to run around tomorrow and be stocked up for the weekend!
We made it to FL yesterday! Freya took a 20 min nap in the car on the way to the airport (after a 5:45am wake up and only an hour morning nap) so I was worried. Freya did ok. Some crying but nothing too bad or prolonged. She also nursed fine on the plane (normally have issues nursing in public due to FOMO). She went to bed around 8 which was late for her but she did fine! Normal night (2 wake ups) and slept until 7:15!
Her pack and play is in the guest room walk in closet haha. Nice and dark though!!
Here's to hoping the rest of our trip goes smoothly!!
No one can apparently reach this real estate agent who wanted to show our house at 11am today. It's going to be super fun for him if he still shows up with clients, after we asked to reschedule for later in the day, and gets attacked by my dog. ...oh, and he'll set off our alarm system, so that'll be an extra bonus.
Breaking news, everyone! My annoying co-worker informed me that other co-worker's phone is ringing, but she's just gonna let it go to voicemail. I'm so glad she told me this. I can go about my day without worrying about someone else's business.
My parents are here which is awesome. However, my mom is very conservative (Mormon) and 4 of her children are not (me included). She was telling me about a new girl my brother is dating and was like, "I haven't even asked him yet if he's sleeping with her." I'm like MOM! That's not normal for you to ask. She's like "oh I ask everyone that." Ya I know. But that's weird, right? Parents don't usually ask that.
Also Mom, yes duh he is sleeping with her. Probably by the third or fourth date.

L is over his fever, but didn't eat much yesterday. I got the fever in the evening yesterday and didn't eat much dinner. Both of us are fever free this morning.
However, L was acting strange this morning. He peed in his bed so he got up and found DH in the shower. He got in the shower and was just sitting there so DH got him out. He was wrapped in a large towel and I could tell that he basically passed out in DH's arms. We put him in our bed and watched him closely until he woke up. I think that the combination of not being ready to wake up and not having any food in his system made him really sleepy. I quizzed him on some Thomas trains as he was waking up and he got them all right. He got up, ate a little breakfast, and seems to be acting normally. That was a scary start to the day. I wasn't sure if we should call the ambulance, but he wasn't hot and his breathing was normal.

Ok I assembled a "peach" themed basket for DH's grandmother this weekend. It includes 8 fresh Georgia peaches, Georgia Peach Salsa, Peach Butter, Peach pecan preserve, and Peach Pepper Jelly. I hope she likes it lol:

cocopuff, Thanks! I'm not very knowledgeable of Chinese culture like DH's family is so they mentioned that peaches are a common gift to receive on these types of birthdays so I hopefully she likes it.

Not to be rude but I'm so curious about this...are all your siblings not Mormon? How does the rest of your family handle this? My experience is people FLIP when this happens and shut down/interventions/cut off from the family etc.
hovenb, it's the "oh I ask everyone that" that gets me! I can see, depending on the nature of the relationship, a parent asking that (though not asking one sibling if the other sibling's in that relationship stage). I now picture your mom at a brunch or cookout, overhears someone talking about a new relationship or introducing a new girlfriend/boyfriend, and her popping in with, "So, are you sleeping together yet?" in a chirpy way.
This probably doesn't count, but I'm saying Anna's first word is duck. The last two baths, she'll hold both rubber ducks up and say "duh! duh!" Later when she's trying to eat the faucet whale, I'll say "whale!" and tap it. And she'll say "wha! wha!" If she's holding the boats and I say "yes, those are boats!", she'll say "buh! buh!" I know she's probably just repeating sounds and matching like objects, but I'm gonna take it. Genius. Obvs. But she'll grab the ducks and say duh without my prompting.
a mutual friend of my cousin just posted on FB that her husband passed away. He was 32. I know he was struggling with depression and had a history of self medicating. it sounds like suicide. I'm devastated for her and cannot imagine.
cocopuff, hugs to your friend Our neighbor lost her husband (35) last year to a heart attack, leaving behind 3 kids. Just cannot imagine what that must be like (and hope I never have to experience it). I hope your friend gets the support she needs.
