pbandj714 I'm so sorry for the rough night. You are not a failure!! It is easy to have those thoughts when you feel you can't do anything to soothe them, but you are doing an amazing job x2!
Went to the store. The 3yo was a beast. Shrieked and screamed the entire time we were in line bc I wouldn't give her a lollipop...I don't buy them candy on the reg. She threw shoes and said I was the meanest...45 minutes later she's calmer but still at it. I've never had a tantrum at a grocery store before.
Sorry shoogars. I really feel like there are not many things more frustrating and embarrassing than your kid having a tantrum in public. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and it's out of her system now.
I have been trying my K'tan out and failing miserably. She doesn't feel secure like it's too big on me or something. I got the XS so I can't get any smaller. I'm hoping that when she gets a little bigger it will get better. She's still not the recommended 8lbs so hopefully that will help it fit better. Anyone have any experience? Should I just return it?
shoogars I'm sorry! Sometimes it's so hard not to give in when you know it would make them stop. Hope the rest of your day is easier.
pbandj714 sorry for the rough night. I'm happy one of them was easier on you.
Ds "body slammed" his friend at school today. I love picking him up to hear "we had a little incident today." Lo is now sleeping and ds1 is laying down in his bed. Hopefully he'll fall asleep soon so I can get a couple minutes of shut eye.
102 fever again. 8 days later. This is so freaking ridiculous. Just started a new round of meds- which will probably make my supply tank and my baby scream even more. ;(
Sorry to complain. DH is supposed to go out of town for one of his best friend's 30th birthday parties this weekend. I will feel terrible if he has to cancel, but I don't know if I can be this sick, with a screaming baby and a toddler by myself.

I had the exact issues and just waited a few weeks and tried the hug position instead of kangaroo-worked MUCH better!
How long would you leave pumped breastmilk out before still feeling ok to freeze it? DS started screaming to eat while I was in the middle of pumping and he's been hanging out there for an hour. It is only an ounce, should I dump? Freeze? Or ideally, can I take up where I left off and keep pumping into the same bottle?

You're not alone. I've been the best and worst mommy in the world in the matter of 30 minutes. . Hang in there. I've heard it gets better by age 5!

According to kellymom, it's fine up to 8 hours (ideal is 3-4). I maybe would pump into a different bottle and then combine the two when they get closer to the same temp? I bet it would be fine in the same bottle, too... but I'm not a stickler on these rules.

ugh, I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better, but I also hope you don't have to be alone this weekend!

You just can't catch a break! I'm sorry that you still have a fever. I hope the new meds do the trick!

Definitely fine to freeze. You can pump into the same bottle after an hour I think. To be safe you could pump to a different bottle, put both in the fridge until they are the same temp then pour them together and freeze. Don't dimp it. You're totally fine to use it!

I was told to go by the 555 rule. 5 hours at room temp, 5 days in the fridge and 5 months in the freezer.

This is what I was told as well
We just had our first poosplosion at target. I had her in the ergo and I heard her go but apparently the position made it go out the sides and all over my shirt, ergo and of course all over her. Oh my!! The lady at the checkout was pretty grossed out. Oh well at least she wasn't the one having to deal with it!
