I don't think it's any secret that all of your admins are loss moms, and as such, loss support is a big deal to us.
Through the Heart is a charity run by a member of GBCN. I reached out to their founder earlier this year to see if they would be interested in partnering with us for a love drive for loss families. Of course, they were thrilled.
I just got a message from them today, which I'm going to copy below:
" Hi Becky,
so I know it's been a while since you sent this message but I wanted to see if TTH is still a contender for your late summer campaign. We actually have a prospective opportunity coming up in a few months that might be perfect timing if we were able to partner up. Each October, MedStar Washington Center, one of our local hospitals, holds a service of remembrance for those who have lost children. Last year my husband and I attended and distributed TTH educational materials, but this year we have been asked to play a larger role and provide Comfort Kits for the attendees. I am still working on the details but we believe this is will be in excess of 100 kits.
At this time we are not able to provide that many kits on our own but would love to be able to participate if we can rally the support! We would LOVE your support in purchasing items for our Comfort Kits if possible. Thanks again for considering us!"
We would likely run the campaign in August so that they would have time to organize.
