Today is going to be a pretty low key day for us. I have little gym with DD1 this morning and then I think after naps we are going to go swimming at my parents house.
I gave DD2 a rubber spatula to play with and she's currently laying on the floor playing the drums on the wall with it. It's pretty comical.

Watching my cousins baby today. This kid is exhausting. She's their only so far and does NOT deal with jealousy well. She screams every time I hold my kids, constantly wants to be picked up. I've been trying to get her out of that habit here but she's been here a few times and still no luck. She goes to daycare but her godmother is a ECE there so I have a feeling she gets special treatment there too. This day needs to end.

Going to home goods and pier 1 later to look for some decor items. I just finished nursing C who insisted on poking his finger into my mouth the entire time. Weird kid.
Just over a year. She's doing better today but I've had to live on the floor basically then took her in the stroller and now she's awake again and I'm back to the floor

Ellie does that. And tries to get it up my nose. I figure it's only fair since those are things I do to her/

No mattresses because we're responsible. But I think once we get some things paid off, were buying a new mattress and bedroom set.
Has anyone refi'd their mortgage? Was it a huge hassle? We didn't shop around 2 years ago and got a 4.65% even though the market was lower. We have really excellent credit scores so we were thinking about refi to free up a couple hundred a month. Tell me about it! Should we do a couple small improvements first, will they appraise it again?

We refi'd last year, and it was NBD. I believe we had to get an appraisal done and just fill out the paperwork. They even sent someone to our house for the closing, so it was easy!
What kind of improvements are you doing?
We have a long list and were going to do them from least to most expensive. They probably need to be done before we move anyway!
Walls in bedroom & dining room: the drywall is torn up and we just sealed and painted. We were going to explore using paintable wallpaper to cover it up. It's cheaper than replacing all the dry wall or doing a skim coat Paint bathroom Paint utility/laundry room & redo storage Carpet upper level Replace carpet in family room (lower level) Landscaping front (garden) and back (build inexpensive patio) Reno sunroom : paint concrete floor, replace paneling with drywall Install new doors in entrances New flooring across main level/kitchen Reno kitchen
If we are here long enough... Replace hvac
The previous owners were here for 30 years so.. we ripped up carpet on the main floor and pulled down wallpaper/paneling already.

The weekends that my husband are off always seem to go by twice as fast, Boo! We had a fun day today at a little kids event in town and then hanging out at my parents, DS1 spent awhile in the pool which was fun watching her getting more acclimated.
My husband has a really busy schedule and is working 60+ hours the next five days so I'm preparing myself for that.

Hi ladies! I've been off in Never-Never Land the last week or so, just busy with baby and recovering from my festival week.
I got some cute swimsuits for me and some cute summer outfits for le bebe today, then went over to my mom's house on the big lake for relaxing on the deck and swimming.
Well, swimming didn't happen and neither did relaxing. My daughter refused to settle in for a good meal until very late and was fussy and angry. She wouldn't nap either of course, so she was a little difficult. She finally ate well and napped, but it took forever to happen. Husband was attending a local music festival, so he was unavailable to baby handle. After a nap and meals she was much happier baby, and the evening went well. Now she's sleeping like a log.
So, so frustrated. We decided it would be fun to spend yesterday at MOA, take DD1 on some rides, visit AG store, ect. I hoped DD2 would snooze in the car - nope. I hoped DD2 would snooze in the ergo - nope. I hoped DD2 would snooze in the stroller - not until she had been awake almost 5 hours! Ugh. So then she naps 20 minutes. We get home and does a decent afternoon nap, 1.5 hours. But then her monitor breaks and we decide everyone should come to Walmart! So, stupid. By the time we get home, everyone is over tired. (DD1 didn't nap at all, which is borderline for her.) We got DD1 to go to sleep ok, but DD2 completely lost it. Screamed for 2 hours, inconsolably. It was awwwful. And then she was back up wailing every hour all night. Her usual is 2/3 feelings in 12 hours. I feel so stupid for pushing her too hard. She just wants to participate in everything so much and just won't relax. I guess I'll just have to resign my self to nap prison for the next 6 or so months until she doesn't need a morning nap
