RandomName, We're still using the infant bucket seat over here but I just purchased a Diono Radian R120 for Abigail. I had it on my wish list and miraculously the price dropped to $189.99 one day so I bought it immediately. It might go on sale on Prime Day, but last year, I didn't manage to actually buy anything with that sale because the things I wanted sold out in less than 1 second. Insert eye roll here.
We have 2 Britax Marathons for the twins and I love them. I think they're very easy to use. We went with the Diono for Abigail because it's probably the only seat that will fit 3 across in our car with the 2 Marathons that we already have. I guess I should get it out of the box and try it just in case it doesn't fit and I need to return it!
Also, for anyone considering Dionos, I read a bunch of reviews that suggested that the head supports on the RXT can be uncomfortable and tend to get in the way. After much debate I went with the R120 so we wouldn't have that issue.
tmclawchick I misses that you'd found a house!!! So exciting! I hope they fix the things with no fuss.
Me too! There are quite a few small things we need to handle and we're only asking for 3...hopefully that's not too unreasonable right?? We'll find out soon enough haha
aydee I didn't see any R120's in store. Are they similar except for the head rest? The head rests on the RXT we did see looked pretty cheap. It was cloth covered hard styrofoam than you pulled and moved up and down. Not the moves aspect of it.

I got ours on amazon. I think the main difference is the head rests (and the price tag for those head rests!). Amazon is good for comparing models.
@janetheconquerer it's the new Pokemon app. As you walk around in your world you find different Pokemon to capture. I downloaded it on a whim last night and caught two Pokemon while I was laying in bed.
It's weird how social this Pokemon Go app has made my city. We are NOT a walking city, but this weekend everyone is out and about. Staring at their phones for the most part, but it's sparking conversation at least. I just called out two twenty-something guys waiting next to us at a traffic light because it was obvious they were playing. My H thinks it's dumb, but I think it's kinda cool to see.
DS1 got it and was telling me about it yesterday. He was upset (read lazy) that he was raining and couldn't go get them. But once it stopped he was gone. I will have to ask him when he gets up how he liked it! Funny how silly games at the right time with enough hype can really unite people!

RandomName it does make it not angle so steeply back. Could you put the rear facing in the middle and your DD behind one of the seats? (not sure if she is forward facing yet?)

Sesame Place was a blast. The weather wasn't sunny at all, but it's ok because it didn't rain, and it kept the temps down a bit. DD was so surprised and did so many rides. Ds even did their large tube water ride with us all! He was so psyched and loved the whole ride, drops and all. If anyone follows me on IG, I flooded it with photos yesterday

I really need to try out this angle thing. We only need two seats right now but we are buying as if we needed three and had to fit them in our vehicle. DD is forward facing but if we could figure out the Diono rear facing I would put DS in it and leave DD in her current seat.
I'm about to go meet someone to sell part of the maternity clothes and this afternoon we're going swimming at my BIL's pool. It's on top of their apartment building in Atlanta, so we should have some nice views.

Once again I'm so tired. I almost got 8 hours too so I'm not sure what the deal is. Rainy day here today so not sure what's in the agenda. But I need coffee

I'd definitely try the angle adjuster if seat width is your problem. My problem is the way the seat connects rear facing, not space. I've heard the angle adjuster helps a lot with the space issue though.
We're totally taking a walk around downtown today so I can get more pokemon. I caught an Eevee in our living room next to Evie and had a good giggle about that. My mom came in town last Monday, getting ready to move now. There was a huge freakout a few days ago, the appraisal came back $6,000 less than the contracted price so the seller told us we'd have to bring the difference in cash. And that they'd drop the price by $1,000 in lieu of making the repairs. One of the repairs was necessary before we close per the VA. Sooooo we pretty much were like well we have to walk then. And then I had to start looking up apartments to rent that had what we needed that weren't way out of budget and got really depressed. Luckily, we realized that we can lower our down payment, take the difference out of that and pay the seller. And our realtor is pitching in $1k to help and is going to pay for the necessary repair himself and get it done this week. Freak out over. But seriously. SO STRESSFUL.

My laptop is running chkdsk. Hard drive death is imminent. I'm trying to back up my photos to google drive but it is taking forever. Child free time yesterday was awesome. I may have to carve out thirty minutes a week to do this more often.

I hope you are able to save everything before it crashes! I just went thru this with my work laptop...and am still discovering files I no longer have
mommabakes hope you had fun at your H's reunion. I didn't know people actually went to those. My high school didn't even have a formal 10 year.
We are from tiny towns, in a very rural area, so you know all of your classmates and a decent amount of people go! I think his graduating class was around 100 people.
It was okay. I get bad anxiety in crowd situations, due to the everything that is shown on the news. Other than being on high alert and mapping out my escape routes, I did OK.
kaeguri oh my gosh I would have been freaking out! I'm glad things got lined up on the house though. When I got home from selling some of the maternity clothes I came in and told H that I'd sold some, got gas for $2.02, and caught 2 Pokemon!

kaeguri glad the house will work out in the end. It is stressful. Remember when I was freaking out last year when E came early and we were suppose to close two days later. It all worked out. Good luck!
Last night the monitor went off for no reason like every 20 fucking minutes so when W finally woke up at 630 I fed him, gave him to H, and passed back out. At almost 10 H woke me up with breakfast. Now both the guys are napping and I'm cleaning the master bath so I can finish safety proofing it. Busy day today getting things done in between hanging with walt but nothing out of the house.

kaeguri, that sounds insanely stressful, but I'm glad that it's working out!
I have no idea what this Pokemon app is. I need to re-engage with pop culture. I've been out of the loop for the past couple weeks.
Poppy has decided that 5am is her new wake up time. Ugh. But now she is napping— she was fighting it but then crashed HARD, so I am meal planning and catching up here and MH is making me some (more) coffee. When she wakes up we're going to check out the Italian street fair that's happening nearby.

So M screamed and yelled for an hour this morning when I put him down for a nap. When I tried a check he immediately calms when I give him a hug, and starts freaking out again when I go to lay him back down. Ugh. So stressful and heart breaking to hear him cry. I figured he would pass out, but nope he didn't have a morning nap. packmomma you asked yesterday if there have been any changes recently, and none that I can think of. I've even been very conscious to stay close to home to keep routines consistent. Sigh. I'm really hoping he is not moving to one nap already.
