DH is back home for now. It'll be nice to have some help. We're mostly hanging around the house and then later this afternoon we're going to go visit some friends about an hour away. Hopefully the kids cooperate.

I was up much of the night. I just opened my phone browser to see the confirmation page of my online order of a bunch of Milk Nursingwear, which, ha, I did NOT remember doing. Guess my MOTN coping mechanism mid-marathon feed was shopping.
A friend is coming over this morning, and then I'm taking DS with me to a graduation party and a different pool party my friend is having. Once again I'm excited to get out of the house. My friend is supposed to be bringing a sun cabana thing so hopefully if it cools down a little bit I can bring DS outside and I can lay near my pool. I'm over watching these beautiful days go by watching them from my couch.
MH has to go into his office today even though he still has 2+ weeks off so I'm about to have my first solo day with toddler and baby! I think I may have my mom come by for a couple hours mid morning until DS1 goes down for his nap. I'm exhausted and it's supposed to rain so even if I wanted to venture out I can't. DS1 is going to be totally stir crazy this afternoon.
babyzebra so glad YH can help today. Good luck with the visit!
manybellsdown MOTN shopping is pretty much how I have managed to stay awake. I have had Milk Nursingwear in my browser forever, but I haven't pulled the trigger... You may inspire me!

I just woke up in the rocking chair with the baby on me. Been here for almost three hours. I hAve a rock hard left boob from falling asleep after the right. We are still on our little vacation.
AFM, my weekend plans all got cancelled when mastitis came back. I was in bed from yesterday at 1:30 (when my husband came home early from work because I felt like I was dying), until now (well, I'm still in bed). He was supposed to go on a weekend trip with friends and had to cancel it to take care of us. I feel terrible, but am so thankful. He's taking DS to the donut shop and park right now. I've been using my hospital pump every few hours to try to keep my supply up and started a new antibiotic yesterday.
My husband's grandparents are stopping by today to meet DD, not sure yet whether I'll just lay in bed or visit with them. My goal is to take it as easy as possible so I can kick this mastitis out of town for good!
txmommy14 your body has totally been through the ringer 😞 I'm so sorry! Get so much rest so you can beat this mastitis for good!!! Sending you healing vibes!!! ❤️❤️
txmommy14, sending you healing vibes! Gtfo, mastitis!!
The kids had their first restaurant trip last night and did really well. We did have to feed them while we were there. I just took formula so I wouldn't be overwhelmed trying to NIP. A few people came over to our table to tell us how precious they are and how blessed we are.
I'm currently trying to finish my macchiato before it gets cold and someone decides they're hungry again.
My house is a dirty dishes and clothes explosion and I haven't gotten around to eating anything yet today. The baby is in full "I am going to scream if you are not holding me" mode. I used up my letting him cry for awhile time on pumping and making coffee. He finally seems to be drifting off and I can't wait to go grab a granola bar! Not that I will ever, ever complain about long sleep stretches, but my overachieving right boob was NOT comfortable after 6 hours. I knew DS would just choke and spit up if I tried to feed him on that side so I had to pump ASAP.
My best friend is going to start ttc #2 in September and she was jokingly suggesting that I should too and maybe we'd have newborns at the same time. I am honestly a little tempted. We want two kids... So maybe just rip off the bandaid and have a second right away? How have I already forgotten how much I did NOT want to be pregnant anymore just a month ago?! In reality, I think we will wait at least a year, if just to make sure I'm as close to 100% physically recovered as possible. But I can see the appeal of Irish twins

In some ways it may be easier. DD was much easier to manage between 9-15 months. At almost 2 she's a crazy wild child and doesn't sleep any better (she actually may sleep worse than she did then) and still doesn't really entertain herself. I'd still be in the no way camp but it may not be the worst thing in the world

@txmomny14 I so hope you get a break soon. That sounds miserable. Glad your H was able to cancel his plans.
Is anyone else finding it impossible to get out of the house? I feel like by tge time I manage to get people ready in the morning it's lunch time and then DD1's naptime. And it's also 90+ degrees out so I don't want DD1 to overheat. I feel bad for the toddler that we're stuck inside so much
On the bright side during nap today I managed to clean up and sweep the living room, work out, shower and have a snack. So I'm feeling productive. Now hopefully we can make it to the library after nap. So sick of reading the same 20 books every day. (Since we're stuck inside we do a LOT of reading)
We are at a local kids amusement park today and will stay around the house tomorrow. Ds1 is loving being out and about and LO is doing very well in the stroller. So far #2 is sooo much easier than#1. I've had No issue nursing in public this time as its so much easier using the cover and nursing one handed. I felt trapped at home with #1 and now we are getting out almost daily!
packerfan4life, I find it very hard to get out of the house. By the time they're both fed, changed, and relatively calm it seems like it's almost time for the next feeding.
We attempted a quick trip to Gettysburg yesterday to get out of the house and it was a comical disaster. Our plan was to drive around a bit and then walk around downtown through the shops and stop at our favorite ice cream place. Well, we got up there and discovered that it is Gettysburg bike week so we were met by thousands of motorcycles. No big deal, but we got there just as they were starting a motorcycle parade through town which we got mixed up in. Someday I can tell C that we were part of a huge biker parade when he was a baby!
We never even got out of the car and ended up driving back home and grabbing a pizza and ice cream locally. Still had a nice night out but not quite what we had planned!

A couple of randoms this morning:
I've started the hair loss process. I'm finding it everywhere, often on and around my baby. Sorry, family.
Formula companies must pay bank for new mom data. Big package of Enfamil samples delivered yesterday out of nowhere. I'm curious who sold my info, but I know it could be any number of places I've signed up.
