I may not be ready to yank away the pacifier, but my child will be potty trained way before she's 4 years and 8 months. That is just insanity.
My sister has similar horror stories, LesleyEO. I get anxiety listening to her talk about some of her students and parents! It takes a special person to be a teacher, for sure!

Most parents are really awesome. But there are some that seem absolutely insane. It's like you always think, this is truly the craziest thing ever. But then whatever it was always gets topped by something else. And something else. You count down the days with those parents... And sometimes the countdown starts on the first day of school :/
Can we all agree that if our kids aren't potty trained by 4, outside of medical reasons, we will have an intervention?!?!! maddisonrose, try cutting out snacks between meals. My kids are smackers but will eat regular meals. My niece is a snacker but will refuse meals and wait for snacks. And maybe reduce the amount of milk offered. I think portuguesemama tried that. Getting kids to eat can be hard! I applaud your efforts to hide veggies in food.

ladymike I'm gonna try frozen spinach! And for reals I feel like D survives off of those pouches. I will only buy the ones with a serving from 4 food groups And honestly I count on him eating those to get nutrients in him!
bekbek I think Im going to give that a go. I just worried about cutting out snacks and milk thinking I was starving him. I hate the thought of him not getting enough to eat it makes me so anxious
sjep922 love tit was for sleep. I hope she feels better soon!
graciest719 hahahahaha, but none of us caught the mis-spelling either!! And ive been stalking your page, too! Got my eye on this one julia...waiting to get the one step MIL bought me so ill know if it fits or not. I will cutta bitch if someone claims it! Hahahah XD
Such a busy day! Boys had their 15 mo appts, they are closer to 17 months though.. Still tiny guys, R is 20 pounds, 14 oz, and C is 17 pounds, 23 oz. C made it on the chart finally, 2% for both weight and height and R is 15/8% respectively. Dr said they are healthy and thriving and he's happy so we're happy.
Amazon has stolen all of my monies today. We got a lot of shit, including 2 convertible car seats! Woot!
Pediatrician rooms really need toys to keep LOs occupied. M is driving me batty! She just pinched her finger on the swinging garbage can lid and is screaming.
ladymike, it took my 2 weeks to name one of my dogs. I can't pick names for anything! We named LG easily but didn't have As middle name until after she was born.

She is 20lbs. 13oz. and 30 inches long.
Our R and M are size twins!!
Teeny babies, FTW! One day she will triple her birth weight. One day!
HELP. I think we've got a case of that hand foot mouth crap! Fever.. not eating/drinking much.. and she has tiny spots on her feet, but they don't look like sores? Ahhhhh!

ladymike It's ok. HFM is not that bad. Jo had red bumps, not sores like you would think. Other than that, yes to the fever and not eating. Is she a little restless, not acting right? Cause you probably are right.
Not much you can do besides ride it out. Just snuggle.
Holy fuck im tired. I prayed for over time and I got it today. Im gonna need a lot of booze to get through this week.
ladymike sounds like HFM. I hope she'll do ok (not miserable). It sucks, but you just gotta ride it out. Sending lots of baby cuddles! ETA most kids ive seen with HFM only look like red bumps, not sores.

This is pretty much A for the last 24 hours. Fever on and off. Not eating or drinking much. I haven't noticed any spots though...

LesleyEO could the parent transition to pull ups. In my experience, they're just as good a diapers. I know there's a range in PT age (although 4.75 is pretty old!!!) and accidents still happen. As a high school teacher, I know of a handful of kids with medical problems that still wear diapers, so your school has to have a place for this.
malvo, your kid doesn't seem so small. Mine was huge at birth and is in the 75% now and still hasn't tripled her birthweight (which would be 25lb 5oz). Kids grow at weird paces. DD1 was always huge until she hit 2. Now she's in the lower 50% at 4.
AFM: M did much better in her second day of camp. And is starting to talk to kids more. No threats of crying either. I bought a few things off of amazon. I decluttered my bedroom. Exciting shit.
And i made P an appt to check out his ears Monday. Since cutting dairy from his diet he has not been touching his ears at all and i think got rid of the ear infections.. We'll find out soon. If so, im hoping we can get a referral for an allergist to confirm. Im worried the pedi wont give us a refferal though and call it a coincidence, hes so..."medicine is the ONLY way" and wasn't willing to explore other causes. I cant wait to figure out the ear crap so we can switch pedis.
bnizzlebizzle She really isn't THAT small, as she's in the 42% for weight and 43% for height. She's just been stuck at 20lbs. for months. I told everyone to buy her 18 month clothes for her birthday, and she hasn't grown enough to wear any of it! So many pretties just waiting to be worn
ladymike M just had a couple bumps on her hands and a low grade fever the first day or two. Lots of snuggles! That's about all you can do. I hope it's as mild as when M had it! Do NOT Google HFM. The pictures will terrify you.

Put her in the 18 month stuff. I put dd2 in 3t stuff and it doesn't even look so big. If you go by size charts DD2 is still supposed to be in 12 months.
SO, does this warrant a pedi visit or just keep her home until the red spots are gone? How long? UGHHHH. Thank goodness MH works from home now and we can be flexible being home with her! This shit is super contagious, right?

maddisonrose and bekbek - We are totally team cut back on milk and only do a few snacks. N started eating more food at that point but this week at the beach, we're team eat and drink whatever whenever so he's actually getting enough fluids.
malvo d had warmed milk until after F was born. No lie. F has warmed milk. She won't drink out of a sippy if it isn't warm like the stuff she gets on tap. graciest719 if it makes you feel better Miss English major over here didn't notice! And I've been visiting your page!! LesleyEO I know you've mentioned before- what is TK? Is it like Head Start? I am feeling reheheheaaly (in my ace Ventura voice) bad for the little boy because he needs to grow up and mom is holding him back. FX you can show her the light. I mean, I would NOT want to be changing D'a diapers right now. Newp. maddisonrose +1 to cutting back on the snacks. My d is a major snacked. He will literally whine about being done with dinner and in the next breath ask for a snack. No kid! ladymike usually the bumps appear after the fever. Not sure I've heard of them with it. flat0422 @portiguesemama meant to tell you that a little baby powder will remove sand like magic! I used that stuff the entire vacation last month.
It was announced this am that C got the promotion to service manager so now I am really vouching for her position. I should be able to apply next week when I get back from OR.
Prime day was successful and I got D a fire tablet. I can now have my phone back when he is around!
H is in the couch. Apparently his back/head/ass/hairs/toes, I could go on, hurt in the bed and he wants to stay out there. Whatever. I'll just starfish in my bed!
