I'm pretty much on my own this week, my husband is working 14 hours just about everyday so he's leaving before the girls are up and coming home after DD2 is in bed. I'm already exhausted haha just trying to keep us busy though.
It's supposed to rain today so we are going to meet my cousin and her son at an indoor playground and burn some energy
I ordered a bunch of stuff from prime day yesterday so I'm sure my mailman is going to love me the next few days. My aunt had me do some shopping for her too though so at least I didn't spend a fortune.
We are checking out of the cabin soon and heading to the aquarium again today. We only stayed an hour because of the heat and a really upsetting run in with another park goer. We are hoping for a better day, if we don't get rained out. This place is like a very small version of Seaworld, mostly outdoor exhibits and shows.
I got up extra early because I ate the leftovers last night that would have been MH's lunch today. I don't have the freezer stocked with back-ups at the moment, and he didn't know I had eaten what was in the fridge (otherwise he could have figured out something himself). It was worth it to not cook supper last night since LO and I got home late and MH even later (and he didn't need supper at home).
Trying to decide what to have for breakfast at the moment. Today is grocery day, and I hadn't bought milk nor bread last week in hopes it would be on sale this week since it wasn't last week, so we had just enough for LO's breakfast this morning.
I am clearly hungry because my entire post is about food. Lol.
younglove316, did you buy anything fun? I didn't get anything...
I finally bought myself one of the fitness bands, I got a Garmin one so I'm hoping I love it. I also got some Melissa & Doug stuff and a few other things for the girls. Mainly it was all for them haha
Sorry about the distressing situation, penguin129. That can really ruin a day.
We're just sort of laying low today. Its way too hot and humid to be outside, so we're just chilling in the ac. I finally got my new blender set up this morning and made us tropical fruit and Greek yogurt smoothies, they were pretty good. I need more practice with how to use a blender, lol. I realize how silly that sounds! If anyone has a favorite smoothie recipe, please share!
I need to do a few things around the house, but I'm really lacking motivation.

We've been doing so much that the house is a wreck and I really need to go to the store too! My 3 year-old said she didn't want to go, and she usually is excited to go, so I put off grocery shopping since she'll probably be cooler if she's into it but now I don't have any dinner ideas. Instead, basement obstacle course and now i-pads... This afternoon, a friend from out of town is coming by with her 2 year old but he's kind of wild so I may suggest we head to the museum.
penguin129, Is it the aquarium near Pensacola? We went there once right before DD turned 1 and she loved it. I've been wanting to go back now that she's older...I think she'd really like to see the dolphins up close.
I think today I'm going to take DD to buy some things for her party Saturday, and probably order her cake. I got the final head count, and I want to get almost everything before my parents get here. They originally told me they would be here tomorrow, but I just talked to them and they are about 8 hours away.
Sounds like everyone had fun weekends! ashiscute I hope your daughter is feeling better today. That is really scary! younglove316 I'm jealous that you found things on Prime Day. I got frustrated because some of the "deals" were really only $5 off. @mommatotwo Try this one: Green Monster Smoothie The peanut butter and banana works to convince my son to drink it.
Our vacation was great. The boys did well on the plane and even handled the wedding well. We played on the beach most of the days. It was pretty hectic with the wedding activities so I was glad we took a couple days after to regroup on our own.
Now I have a million loads of laundry to do. I went to the grocery store yesterday when we got back so at least that is off the to-do list. DS1 and I are still in pajamas while I get some laundry finished.

oreobitsy I got myself one of the Garmin fitness bands which I'm really excited about. Otherwise it was all stuff for the girls for birthday and Christmas. I got a few of the half off Melissa & Doug stuff.
I just got home from a walk and I'm all sweaty, but she's asleep in her wrap and I don't want to ruin her nap since she gets so few recently.
Thanks for fixing the tag Glad you had a good walk. It's always a good choice to let sleeping babies sleep
Sunday she was awake from 4:30p to 1a and then yesterday and so far this morning she wouldn't sleep more than 20 to 40 minutes at a time. I can't handle her being awake this much! She just fusses the entire time she's awake.
Thanks oreobitsy! She's feeling pretty well but complaining of headaches on and off. She had a follow up appt with her pediatrician this morning and he was happy with how she's doing. But her play is limited for the next weeks. No going to parks, going on rides at festivals, etc so that the chance that she gets hurt again is smaller.
Someone want to help me convince a 5 yo she doesn't want to go down any slides, ride her bike, or go to any bounce houses?

That's so rough! I hope she starts napping better for you.
I think tomorrow we're going to go on a walk to the Baskin Robins. It's almost exactly 1/2 mile away, so perfect distance. Plus it'll be hot tomorrow so the ice cream break will be nice. But that much direct sunlight makes me nervous. Today I put a hat on her and called it good enough, but it was so hot and sweaty. Maybe she doesn't care as much as I do, though. She did fall asleep after all.
In other news, I'm bored and feel like talking but no one seems to be around right now. I even got desperate and talked to my MIL. Though I did find out that Ridley and her cousin (born in Feb) are starting to look alike. It's cute.

We were outside for a little bit, DD1 had a blast going between the water table and pool. DD2 and I enjoyed sitting on the patio under the umbrella I'm debating if I want to brave the splash pad tomorrow with both girls.
@led that sounds like fun! I love summer and definitely prefer it over winter but sometimes it's almost too hot to do stuff.
I hate summer. Give me all the winter. Especially now that winter is still pretty mild where we live. I just hate being hot, though. I have a pain condition that gets worse with heat, which doesn't help. But also the sunlight just kills me. It makes me nauseated if I'm out in it too long.

Seems like just about everyone online and in real life has either parents or in-laws with a pool and/or with a cabin on/near a lake or beach. Most of my moms' group doesn't seem particularly affluent, but most go away for 6 weeks in the summer to the beach. Blah. We are looking forward to a fun park playdate tomorrow. But it just rained--will the moms cancel b/c the equipment could be wet? People in my group tend to do that, but I hope they will go somewhere else if they don't want to go to the park! It will be a big bummer for DD who has not had preschool for 2 weeks and is getting sick of just playing with her brother most of the time.

I know how you feel, but we don't have cabin, pool or beach access either. To top it off, we aren't in contact with one set of grandparents and the others live 4 hours away.
